Israel is the Elect of God

Yes, yes. I said that. And Jesus Christ is also elect of God, too. Don't ignore what Isaiah said.
Jesus is God, so try again. see your ERROR? notice CHRIST is God, (JESUS), elect.... (smile) you didn't know that did you. learn the hebrew term H259 ECHAD.,.... ok.

101G.

You love to make false claims. Let me explain how you're wrong....

Replacing is when one is removed and another is ADDED.

Act 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
The Acts is historical. Peter was in his flesh when he officiated the meeting as the Spirit did not arrive until the next day or two. There is nothing in Peter's quotation of Psalms that refers to Judas. Besides that men do not have power or authority to appoint apostles or anyone in the body of Christ. That is reserved to God to give someone a call. Neither does it say Peter was appointing an apostle. Judas "held the bag" and Peter could have been appointing a treasurer.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 1 Cor. 12:8–11.

The Lord appoints calling, gifts, ministry, etc. That's why Christ is the HEAD of the Church. But hey, go ahead and follow through in replacing Judas. That's how Mormons do it when appointing their apostles and also the Roman Catholic Church choose their popes the same way. By human vote. Well, I posted a study on the question of Judas as well as Matthias and I'm not going to repeat it here. Just know that Peter was in error and the Church has suffered greatly for his stupidity.
Do you see those words...... LET ANOTHER TAKE.... HIS place?
So, who replaced James when Herod killed him in Acts 12? Who's going to replace you when you die? If it's all about replacing the Church doesn't grow. But thank God never gave men the power or authority to appoint men or women into their calling and ministry.

Are you saying you are equal to the 12 Jesus chose with the exact same authority He gave to them ?
As far as gifts and callings, no one is equal. There is much diversity in the body of Christ. And different people do not all have the same calling. There can be two prophets in a Church fellowship who have different education, experience, temperament, personality, gifts, pounds, even different instruction from God.

All twelve disciples were given the same instruction to go to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. They were given authority to cast out spirits, raise the dead, and so forth. Although when they returned the implication was they did heal and cast out evil spirits/attitudes, but nothing is said they raised the dead. And I'm sure each disciple went about their instruction in their own way with their own way of speaking and attitude because not ever disciple are the same.

The word "apostle" is merely the Greek word meaning "sent" or "commissioned." But no one here knows what my commission is or what I was sent to do. Then you have prophets that come from the wilderness. Let's take Saul. He was a prophet and apostle ("sent") to take a message to those who were of mixed heritage (half-Jew half-Gentile.) He was highly educated in rabbinical ways and means. He was also a Pharisee "above many his equal." His rabbinical training is revealed in his letters if one knows what their looking for. But Peter was a fisherman. Coarse, rough around the edges, and was even a cusser and loose with his mouth. But although him, James, and John were apostles ("sent") to the Jews each went about their ministry/mission in their own ways.

Every born-again person has at least one pound, at least one spiritual gift and at least one calling to the Five-Fold Ministry. There were also women apostles ("sent/commissioned") in the body of Christ and each person in the body of Christ do not all have the same calling. Saul's ministry was similar to Jeremiah's, and both were from the tribe of Benjamin. Both suffered terribly and each went about their calling differently. Saul might be seen as stern and Jeremiah as bold. But those things were particular to each person. As far as the twelve disciples are concerned, they were men just like us. They are not above us nor are they below us. but in Christ they are equal to the rest of us. They each have different calling, different spiritual gifts to accomplish their calls, different attitudes, temperaments, personalities, different education and life experiences, different instruction and so forth. But we are all equal in Christ.

This is the LOVE of God

Jesus said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.
For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him;
and when you saw it, you did not afterward repent and believe him.

Sorry. I don't follow contemporary music. Music is either of the Spirit or of the soul and I know the difference.

Do you even understand what Jesus meant about the kingdom of God? I don't think so. So, why post a Scripture to say something when you don't understand the meaning and the context? A Christians should know how to wield their sword.

a.) We all have our preferences in music.
b.) Music is both
c.) spiritual does not necessitate that it is good
d.) soul does not necessitate that it is evil

This is where your pride blinds you to the Love of God.

Try and follow the Apostle John's definition of the kingdom of God - 1 John 4:7-11

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

It depends on which you want to feed most because the one you feed most is the one that rules your life.

Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

The music of the world is soulish. The music of the Spirit is Spirit. The one you listen too is the one that feeds your soul or your spirit.
There are many so-called Christians who are not called to minister in music that publish songs that have Christian terms in its lyrics, but they are not called to that ministry. Like anything else in the body of Christ if someone is not called to make songs and music then their songs and music will miss the one thing necessary to prosper them and it's the anointing. And if anyone not called to music ministry is making and publishing songs that have Christianly terms then they are not blessing the body but causing harm. So, be careful. You must guard your heart.

You know, when i was first saved, i felt the same way until i matured.

“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings"

Jesus said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.

Now John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us.”
But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side.”

Yes, maybe so, but you're feeding your soul and not your spirit by listening to that crap and feeding your flesh on You Tube or radio stations - or even the internet.

This is not Pure Jewish thought................but the Commandment is!

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength."

Well, this is BIZARRE (according to jeremiahfive)!!!

Elohim left out 'spirit' but HE made sure that your 'soul' is involved in loving HIM..................................

spirit does not necessitate that it is good
soul does not necessitate that it is evil

if you're banking on this verse, YOU BETTER LOOK CLOSE AT THE VERSE, (smile). Isaiah 42:1 "Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles."

Oh my....... (smile). :eek: 101G hope you're bank on it...... (smile).
