All I know about Heaven is what is written in Scripture.
Okay. I'll take that. The Scriptures don't teach that we will forget everything associated with this life.
Does memory of sorrow not bring forth present sorrow?
Sorrow isn't bad. In fact, it is often very good. It humbles the heart and mind. It focus priorities. It is the necessary byproduct of a independent mind.
Does memory of pain not bring forth present pain? Do you remember what it was like to be a sperm; when you lived a short life, in a small world, whose only goal was to form a relationship with the egg, that would take you from that world to a world where you would be given a new name, and form a relationship with your father? (my brother is writing an allegory about this, and it is a compelling concept, think through it). But you don't remember any of your life as a sperm. Why do you think that we would remember any of this life? It is just as transient in comparison to eternity as a sperms life is in comparison to this one.
To be exacting. I, me and I, was never just a sperm. My life, began in an union of two different seeds. Memory loss is an indication of physical defect of the brain or something similar.
"Remember no more" is actually a choice of the mind to "not consider" in the context of current circumstances. It doesn't mean that it "disappears".
One last time, it doesn't matter, and is not worth arguing over. All I know about Heaven is what is written in Scripture. And as I have pointed out, it says that the things of this life won't be brought to mind/heart. That is enough for me.
Arguments refine thought. Consider it the "fire" or purifying silver. God is good at winning arguments. Arguments are necessary.
Not trying to offend you. Just refining. Thanks
