How many times must God say something before the calvinist will believe Gods word and commands ?

If a dozen times is not enough let me know and I will provide several more dozens of passages declaring the exact same thing as those above. @Presby02 @The Rogue Tomato @Kermos @atpollard @brightfame52

hope this helps !!!

Yep.

Living is an influence upon man humbling themselves. You would think we'd get the "message of humility" once we see so many things in our lives crumble and die around us.

Mankind certainly enjoys it delusion.

I told my wife last night that when we see the train coming.... we'd get off the tracks immediately. Why even take the chance????

That's is not what we do. We wait and wait and wait and wait.

so that is something God did not do

2Chr. 12:12 And when he humbled himself the wrath of the LORD turned from him, so as not to make a complete destruction. Moreover, conditions were good in Judah.

2Chr. 32:26 But Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

2Chr. 33:12 And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

2Chr. 33:19 And his prayer, and how God was moved by his entreaty, and all his sin and his faithlessness, and the sites on which he built high places and set up the Asherim and the images, before he humbled himself, behold, they are written in the Chronicles of the Seers.

2Chr. 33:23 And he did not humble himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself, but this Amon incurred guilt more and more.

1Kings 21:29 “Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; but in his son’s days I will bring the disaster upon his house.”

2Kings 22:19 because your heart was penitent, and you humbled yourself before the LORD, when you heard how I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the LORD.

2Chr. 34:27 because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard his words against this place and its inhabitants, and you have humbled yourself before me and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the LORD.

Dan. 10:12 Then he said to me, “Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words.

Who said He did? And your proof text are addressed to old covenant saints, not unbelievers.

Yeah it does

Did forget your theology teaches God has determined all that transpires
Sure does. I could easily say you humble yourself because determined that you do so.

Another great example of proof texting going horribly wrong.

You just flip flopped

First it was who said that followed by a denial

now an affirmation.

and that would have been a case of God humbling them, but nowhere is that written in scripture.

Aside from which your doctrine of total inability would have precluded them humbling themselves

Nope. These were the covenant people of Israel.

Umm...no it don't. Humbling myself would have been determined by God. Just as I believe but my belief was granted to me.

Yep so much for their tulip lol

Seems we were thinking alike, while you were posting verses about men humbling themselves I had just amassed a bunch of verses about humility and isolated those which spoke of humbling oneself
They teach the opposite of God who says man has total ability. Both believers and unbelievers are required by God to be humble. It's the starting point with God in opposition to pride. I find calvinism to be prideful, a false humility.

Yes we are called to humble ourselves, confess our sin, our own inability to overcome sin and to turn to Christ as our only hope
