asking all to resolve the problem of the two scriptures above.
Scripture #1. Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
Scripture #2. Matthew 19:3 "The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?" Matthew 19:4 "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,"
Examine both verses above carefully. God in Genesis 1:26 states that "US" and "OUR" in the verse. but the Lord Jesus said God is a "HE" who made the male and female in the beginning. and this is back up in Mark 10:6, where the "he" in Matthew 19:4 is "GOD..... one Person.
so, if the Lord Jesus, who is God, and he cannot lie..... say, "God is a "HE" that made man male and female IN THE BEGINNING, and he said it is written, (per Genesis 1:27). why do many say God is More than "ONE PERSON".
may 101G make a suggestion. what if God is only "ONE PERSON" who "SHARED EQUALLY" himself in Flesh. this will answer many of the trinity claims.
so, if the Lord Jesus said "GOD IS ONE PERSON" then we as believer must believe what he has said. that's if we follow him. now presented with this explanation, it is one's duty to clearly understand why God word say, "US" and "OUR" in one verse, but in the very next verse he said, "he" and "him".
of a note: the CHRIST was not at Genesis 1, but the Lord Jesus was.
this is for a serious discussion.
