Not true. We are alienated when we sin. We were not alienated until we sinned. We were initially born of the Spirit. We sinned and then needed to be born AGAIN of the Spirit.

Except, of course, that the only SOURCE of FAITH (Saving, or otherwise) is HEARING GOD'S WORD TO US by way of the Holy SpPirit (Rom 10:17 - "Faith cometh" - etc.) - typically "Conviction of SIN", without which there can be no Born Again Experience. FAITH includes "belief", but goes FAR BEYOND simple intellectual assent to a theology. FAITH must have the attributes found in Heb 11:1 - i.e. SUBSTANCE, and EVIDENCE.
