Did Jesus Shed His Humanity at the Ascension?

Maybe tomorrow we can continue. It appears you have been contributing here without understanding the point being discussed.
Was Jesus a man only on earth, or is He still a man in Heaven
Already answered during the course of the day-no need for repetitive circular reasoning-no offense.

Jesus never lost his humanity.

One remarkable thing about the ascension is that it affirms Christ’s physical body went into Heaven following his resurrection. This is what the creeds call his “self-same body,” stating that likewise our self-same bodies will be restored in our resurrection. Some Christians imagine that Christ shed himself of his humanity and returned to being a completely spiritual being when he went back to Heaven. But this is false. The ascension creates a paradigm shift. The truth is not that Jesus became a baby at Christmas, and then 33 years later came the resurrection and ascension and then he stopped being a man. The resurrection demonstrates the incarnation is not temporary. But still, it could be wondered if having defeated death in the resurrection, when it came time to going back to Heaven, Christ might have said, “time’s up, no sense in being a man any more” and shed himself of a body and retake the form (or lack of form) inherent in being the second member of the Trinity.

He could have “dissolved” or “disappeared,” but instead, he physically ascended to a place from which he will physically return to earth in the same physical body. So Jesus became a man (first coming, incarnation), defeated death and assumed his eternal body as a man (resurrection), and went back to Heaven as a man (ascension) and will return as a man (second coming; and as our first fruits raising our self-same bodies as bodies like his). He will reign over the New Earth as the God-man. He has become a permanent member of the human race.

So if you’re ever wished you could walk the earth with Jesus, like his disciples did, good news...if you know Him, you will. You will have a new (raised) body, and it will be a New (raised) Earth, but it will really be you, it will really be Jesus, and it will really be Earth. No sin, no death, no curse. I will be me without all the bad parts, and the Earth will be Earth without all the bad parts. (New bodies are not non-bodies and new earth is non-earth, no more than a new car is a non-car.)

As Job said, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” (Job 19:25-27)

How does the ascension confirm His body of flesh went into heaven?
Can you give that a little thought and then explain from scripture and logic how you reached your concluson? Please keep it short, we can always ask for further ellucidation. WE know He did not take His body to the land of the dead, and we also know that no one recognized Him after He resurrected

the man Christ Jesus -- He is fully human and fully God, and thus able to reconcile God and humanity (see 1Co_8:6; Eph_4:5-6).

The absence of the definite article before Man in the Greek suggests the better translation, “Christ Jesus, Himself a man.” Only the perfect God-Man could bring God and man together. Cf. Job_9:32-33.

anthrōpos|G444|N-NMS|[the] man Χριστὸς Christos|G5547|N-NMS|Christ Ἰησοῦς, Iēsous|G2424|N-NMS|Jesus, --

As we can see-no Definite Article before "Man"--Noun - Nominative Masculine Singular and the only occurrence of this in Scripture.

Various people groups do not each have their own gods, though they may imagine they do; all must come to the one true God for salvation. This means that Jesus, God’s incarnate Son, is the one and only mediator, the only way to salvation (cf. Act_4:12).

Four arguments for universal prayer to the One True God -- 1Ti_2:5-6
1) One God for all men
2) One mediator for all men
3) Availability of ransom for all men - 1Ti_2:6
4) Paul's commission to the Gentiles - cf 1Ti_2:7

Thanks @sethproton
Neither 1 Cor 8:6 or Eph 4:5-6 say anything about Jesus being man and God. I think you were mistaken to include those in this discussion

I believe Jesus kept his humanity too and here's a reason some might not have considered. Have patience and be willing to go through this whole passage and I think you'll find something of interest. My commentary in blue, From Phil 2:7,11

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: <----(So there we see Christ's humanity spoken of) 8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.(Still speaking of the humanity) 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,(remember he's speaking of Christ in his humanity) and given him a name which is above every name: (Something very interesting here. But I thought Jesus always had this name. Not in the way God is speaking of here. God made a covenant agreement with a man who did what the law required. He walked perfect and upright before God without sin. He the man the humanity received a reward for doing so and what was that reward.? He God gave him a name above every name---> ( 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

So. You're saved because you've entered into covenant with YES God who is Jesus too, but really you've entered into covenant with the humanity of Jesus THE MAN, the Son of Man the Christ! You take away the Name, that is the name God gave, and remember it said God gave it....to the Son of Man or the Son of humanity you take away Christ humanity and say it doesn't exist anymore than you've done away with the Name of Jesus. Not going to happen! Jesus humanity is in tact forever.

Phil 2 is a great chapter to see that Jesus became a man, but as far as reading it to say He stayed a man forever, I don't see that stated there

Yes, I also think his humanity is key to him being our advocate in heaven right now.
Why do you think that Him being human is key to being our advocate? I was looking at two verse one old and one new that refer to advocate, Job16:19 and I John 2:1. WE had an advocate before Jesus became a man.

His body is different, however; earthly human flesh is perishable, but heavenly bodies are imperishable (1 Corinthians 15:50). Jesus has a physical body, with a difference. His resurrected body is designed with eternity in view.

The important thing is we're being transformed into his image. That were are in him. The body of Christ, That's who we are.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7

our bodies are not being transformed,we are, We are not our bodies
Our bodies will be exchanged for the new heavenly ones,

Rockson . as for exalted man that phrase is not in the Bible. So I hesitate to use it.
The question is not if we become God but rather if we remain human. And the questtion is not if we become exalter men, but human at all?
Post resurrection. that was not his ascended body, REmember John's quote He had seen Jesus but didn'know what the ascended body looked like.
And you have concluded like men that we will not be humanity anymore?
We are a new humanity but still humanity. We don't become some other kind of creation. Just as a new breed of dog is still a dog, we are a new breed of human beings. It isn't revealed yet just what that will look like, but if we are walking by means of the Spirit, we should be getting a taste of things to come.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
