Christ paid our sin debt

I always thought that the sacrificial death of Jesus wiped away our sin, removed the sin barrier between mankind and God. And now we can come boldly to the throne.

And the resurrection is what gives us eternal life. Jesus died and rose again. Before we accept him as savior we are dead in our sin but because of the cross that sin barrier is removed. Because of the Resurrection we've gone from being dead in our sin to be in alive in Christ.

So it's not just the sacrificial death of Jesus... it's also his resurrection that gives us eternal life.

2 Corinthians 5:19–20 (KJV 1900) — 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Again, you interjected the Christ dishonoring comment " Christ death saved no one" Rom 5:10 doesnt make such a hellish remark, it says the reconciled by His death shall also be saved by His Live, that's two positive saving statements about the Work of Christ, of what He did and is going to do.

You dishonor Christs life and resurrection

The passage declares if Christ is not risen, raised from the dead, resurrected then our faith is in vain and we are still dead in our sins. We are saved by His life/Resurrection not His death. His death atoned for sin but does not give life.

Romans 4:24-25

but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Paul declares in Romans 5:10 the following: For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Cf Acts 17:31.

John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

We know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ. Romans 10:17. We know that God saves those who believe – 1 Corinthians 1:21. We know that we receive the spirit and are sealed with the spirit through belief in the gospel- Ephesians 1:13.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be blessed! On account of his vast mercy, he has given us new birth. You have been born anew into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Its you who denies the resurrection of Christ, you teach there will be sinners He died for, paid their sin debt, but they will never be saved, regenerated, or be given a New Birth.

Christ’s Death Actually Saves

If the Lord Jesus died for absolutely everybody, then why are not all actually saved? Romans 6 makes it clear that those who are united to Christ in His death are dead to sin (6-7) and “alive unto God” (11), and will be raised bodily to glory (5). But many spend all their days “dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1) and will rise in the “resurrection of damnation” (John 5:29). We can only conclude that they were not united to Christ in His death (i.e., He did not die for them), for if the reprobate were united to the Son of God in His death (i.e., if He died for them), they would die to sin and live unto God (Rom. 14:9; II Cor. 5:14-15).

Scripture teaches that both faith (Eph. 2:8-9; Phil. 1:29) and repentance (Acts 5:31; 11:18; II Tim. 2:25) are gifts of God’s grace. Faith and repentance are instances of “spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Eph. 1:3). God’s blessings in Christ come through the cross (Rom. 8:32; Gal. 3:13-14). But “all men have not faith” (II Thess. 3:2) nor do all repent (Rev. 16:11). Thus faith and repentance were not purchased for everybody head for head on the cross and so the Saviour did not die for all.

Titus 2:14 explains that the Son’s purpose in His redemption on the cross is the sanctification of His own “peculiar people” that we would be purified and be “zealous of good works.” But many die impenitently and are “filthy” (Rev. 22:11) because of their “ungodly deeds” (Jude 15). Since the purpose of the omnipotent God always stands (Rom. 9:11) and can never be resisted (II Chron. 20:6), it was not the Lord’s purpose to sanctify and redeem the reprobate by the cross. Thus Christ did not die for them.

If you are not in Christ you do not receive the benefits of being in Christ

Ephesians 1:4–7 (KJV 1900) — 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

no faith in Christ then no redemption no forgiveness

Five things the death of Christ accomplished for all whom He died!

#1. All for whom Christ died have been made righteous by imputed righteousness Rom 5:19; 2 Cor 5:21; Rom 4:6

#2. All for whom Christ died have had their sins put away before God's law and Justice Jn 1:29; 2Cor 5:19; Dan 9:24; Col 2:14

#3. The death of Christ accomplished for all whom He died, A freedom from the guilt/punishment of sins Heb 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

The word for purged katharismos means:

A *cleansing from the guilt of sins! And that is why for them sins can't be imputed or charged to them, for that would reverse what Christ death had done/accomplished.

In His sovereign wisdom our Lord knew that His followers through the centuries would need a continual reminder of the essential truths of their faith—the sacrificial death, the triumphant resurrection, and the victorious return of Christ.

For His disciples, Christ shared the Last Supper and introduced the signs of the new covenant—His broken body and shed blood—symbolized by the bread and the cup. With this supper as the model, He then gave instructions that this feast of remembrance should occur regularly in our worship of Him until He comes. After that, it will culminate in heaven with the saints of the ages in the Wedding Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7, 9).

Kenneth W. Osbeck, Amazing Grace
The Lords supper was a special covenant made only to those who will sit on thrones( Luke 22:29-30)--these are called the little flock( Luke 12:32)=144,000 bought from the earth( Rev 14:3)=the anointed bride of Christ. The covenant was not made to the great crowd( Rev 7:9) of other sheep( John 10:16) who are not of that fold. Its a great sin to partake if not of the little flock( 1Cor 11:27)--only blind guides tell all to partake.

BTW where is the great crowd

Revelation 7:9–17 (KJV 1900) — 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
