Thats Tulip, the doctrines of Grace. And the Gospel is only good news to the elect saved. Its a word of death to the non elect reprobate

Your theology makes the Cross look like a "Niche Market" And yet Jesus told us to preach the gospel to EVERY creature. Gospel means GOOD NEWS....again that's good news for EVERY CREATURE. But you call Calvinism or Tulip good news? Think of a king who says they're gong to saved 50 people of 1000. Is that good and great news? Nope. That's a local tragedy with a very small silver lining. Are you sure you want to side in with that?

Think of a Sovereign who says Hes going to save a multitude of elect people for His Pleasure that number this:

Rev 7:9-10

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Amen we are dealing with another gospel as Paul tells us in Galatians 1:6-9

When was tulip formalized you ask ?

A question for readers: does anyone know the origin of the anglicized acronym T.U.L.I.P.?

I’m not referring to the conceptual original (I know it’s from the Canons of Dordt)–but rather to the first time that the doctrines were given these English titles and order to form the word tulip?

(The 5 mains points of doctrine in dispute at Dordt were in this order–ULTIP–though of course with different terminology.)

I’m not doing a research project or anything–just curious, as I’ve never seen the answer to this question!

Update: In the comments below Ken Stewart provides the surprising answer: apparently the first recorded use of the acronym is in Loraine Boettner’s popular book, The Reformed Doctrine of Predestination, published in 1932. Stewart doesn’t believe that Boettner himself devised it, but has been unable to document any earlier use of it.

You can read more about this in Stewart’s essay, “The Points of Calvinism: Retrospect and Prospect,” Scottish Bulletin of Evangelical Theology, 26. 2 (2008): 187-203, which will be revised into a chapter for his forthcoming book, Ten Myths About Calvinism (IVP, 2010).

Update 2: See the comments. It’s now been pinpointed back to 1913, and the author records hearing it eight years earlier. So it goes back at least to 1905. Unless someone can locate an earlier reference, I’m going to say 1905 is the best date we have, with 1913 as the first documentation in the historical record. Nice work Ched and Bart (and Google Books!). https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/justin-taylor/origin-of-tulip/

hope this helps !!!

Imagine a doctor who only treats patients he’s already decided are healthy. That’s not a physician; that’s a Country Club manager.
The Jesus I preach His Gospel tells us He healed all His Patients Gods elect at the Cross 1 Pet 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

So I preach that as good news ! Do you believe it ?

Calvinism has no gospel

Tulip is not a gospel

It is an error teaching total inability, unconditional election, limited atonement, and irresistible grace

Faith precedes salvation

Rom 10:9–10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Acts 16:31 They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Rom 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

John 6:47 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

Gal 2:16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.

Rom 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Rom 1:16–17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by faith.”

Gal 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Rom 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

1 John 5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.

Acts 15:11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are.”

Titus 3:5–7 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life

Salvation is not unconditional, requiring the faith seen above

The atonement is not limited, as Christ died for the whole world

God's grace, Christ's death for all, does not cause all to be saved, so irresistible grace is another falsehood.

We have no inherit faith in us, as our very nature is to be enemies and at war with God
Yes the natural man has a natural inherit faith, but its of the law. So if a person insist on their natural faith to be a condition for salvation, they are seeking salvation by the law Matt 23:23

But faith that is required in salvation, is given by God in Grace. Once Christ saves us, He gives us the Gift of Faith to believe in Him, that is not our inherit faith by nature. Its the fruit of the Spirit.
