Calvinism is Gospel !

I have told you and many others have told you and been over all those verses with you one time or another over the years. They all apply to the elect, thats it
You are wrong because you do not know who the elect are.

First

No verse ever says the elect are a closed, pre-fixed headcount chosen arbitrarily with no reference to response, faith, or history. What Scripture does do is talk about different kinds of choosing for different purposes.

There are individuals chosen ahead of time — for roles, not salvation

Examples:
Jeremiah 1:5“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…”
.....This is vocational election, not a statement that Jeremiah had no choice or that others were excluded.

Abraham (Genesis 12) is chosen to bring blessing to the nations, not to be the only possible saved human.

Job is described as righteous, but the text never says he was eternally decreed while others were damned.

Israel itself is “chosen” (Deut 7:6–8) — yet many Israelites perish in unbelief. That alone proves “chosen” does not “guaranteed salvation.”

So yes—God does sovereignly choose specific people at specific times to ensure His redemptive plan moves forward. That does not cancel free will. It guarantees history doesn’t derail.

Who are the Elect?

Ephesians 1:4
“He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world…”

Notice what’s chosen before time:

The category (those “in Christ”), not a secret list of names.

Christ is the Elect One (Isaiah 42:1).
Anyone united to Him by faith shares in His election.

That means Christ is eternally chosen , The means (faith in Christ) is set , The offer is real , The response is meaningful

IOW,,,
God sovereignly elects His redemptive plan, its timing, and its key servants.
God graciously invites all into Christ.
Those who respond in faith become the elect in Him.

IOW
Election in Scripture is primarily Christ-centered and purpose-driven, not a secret roll call of individuals. God chooses the means and the mission; humans genuinely choose whether to trust Christ.

Sorry, but you are positing a falsehood.

And you never address these

The fact you never address the scriptures posted shows your claim is false

A plain lie

You ignored all these verses that state who Christ died for.

Christ died for all these

1 Tim 2:6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.

2 Cor 5:14–15 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.

1 John 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

Heb 2:9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Rom 5:18 So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.

2 Cor 5:19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

Isa 53:6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.

John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Rom 14:15 For if because of food your brother is hurt, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

1 Cor 8:11 For through your knowledge he who is weak is ruined, the brother for whose sake Christ died.

2 Pet 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.

Note Christ died for more than those you claim

1 Tim 4:10 For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

All men are greater in number than just believers.

Christ died for all, not just the elect.

Finally, contrary to your man-made doctrine, it is only those who believe who are saved.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
Acts 16:31 They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Rom 10:9–10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
John 6:47 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.
John 11:25–26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
John 20:31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.
Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Eph 2:8–9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
1 John 5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
Rom 3:22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;
Gal 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
1 Cor 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
2 Tim 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Heb 10:39 But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.

Sadly, you are not a believer of all scripture and only affirm what your man-made doctrine affirms.

Yeah Christ died only for the elect. All those scriptures refer to the elect. Thats Gospel Truth
If I write this pout for you will you even read it?

Here is the truth you can stand on

Your statement:

“Christ died only for the elect. All those scriptures refer to the elect.”

Question…is Calvinism reading itself into the text, not Scripture speaking for itself?

The Bible teaches.... and if you want scriptural references let me know.....

1. Christ died for all

2. Salvation is offered to all

3. The elect are those who respond in faith

4. Election is in Christ, not before Christ!!!!!

Jesus teaching refuted tulip/ Calvinism

Matthew 13- The Parable of the Sower

1The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

T- man can choose to hear, see and receive the gospel
U- all can choose to believe and receive as demonstrated in the parable of the 4 soils
L- all soils received the seed without exception
I- 3 soils resisted all but 1 soil remained faithful and did not resist
P- 3/4 soils ( minds/hearts )did not preserver in the faith

1- Only something alive can be choked. You cannot choke the dead. And as we can see they all had life to begin with in each soil.
2- Only something alive can be scorched by the Sun and withered.
3- Only someone alive can receive the word in the heart and have it snatched away
4- Only someone alive can receive the word with Joy and endure for a while

Luke 14:23 And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel (αναγκασον) people to come in, that my house may be filled. 24 For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste my banquet.’” @synergy. Remember this from the old forum :) The Greek word αναγκασον is to urge or compel, not irresistibly draw.

There are 4 major Calvinist pillars that fall with the Parable of the Wedding Feast which is connected to the Parable of the Sower above.
  1. Monergism (Total Depravity),
  2. Preservation of Saints (many called by God but few chosen by God),
  3. Irresistible Grace (many called by God but few chosen by God),
  4. and even Limited Atonement because as many as could possibly be found were invited

hope this helps !!!

Yeah Christ died only for the elect. All those scriptures refer to the elect. Thats Gospel Truth
3. The elect are those who respond in faith

4. Election is in Christ, not before Christ!!!!!

address the passage like I did instead of ignoring what Jesus said and prove me wrong. Stop turning a blind eye to the plain teaching of Jesus and replacing His teaching with calvin.
Im not able to prove you wrong to you. Also read the thread points I made already

You can write all you want, Christs death is only for the elect, or Sheep Jn 10, they're the same
3. The elect are those who respond in faith

4. Election is in Christ, not before Christ!!!!!

3. The elect are those who respond in faith
Yes because they were elect, they're the only ones given Faith, hence the faith of Gods elect which acknowledges the Truth Titus 1

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness

If one never responds in Faith, its simple, they were never elect. Just like Jesus say here Jn 10:26

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

A musing......

How many Calvinism people... who follow the very words of John Calvin including Tulip.... are anti Trin....?

When Calvin was a solid supporter and teacher of the Trinity......!

4. Election is in Christ, not before Christ!!!!!
The elect are in Christ before the foundation of the world Eph 1:4 and thats a Gospel Truth. When Christ is preached according to the scriptures, then its proclaimed a people was chosen in Christ b4 the foundation and grace was given them in Christ b4 the world began 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Im witnessing the Gospel to you now
