Behind Enemy Lines

* Halftime *

This isn’t rocket science. (I had courses in rocket science in college.)

Wage your spiritual warfare, trinitarians. Don’t be surprised when non-trinitarians wage their spiritual warfare.

Trinitarian theology isn’t the spiritual friend of other theologies, nor are other theologies the spiritual friends of trinitarian theology.

Reporting live and under fire behind enemy lines,

The hound of Jewish monotheism.

Read rule 2 and stop the goading. If this continues I will close this thread.

Closing this thread would penalize the others who have posted in it, and rob others from the opportunity to post in it in the future.

I would rather be banned - temporarily or forever - than have others penalized.

I’ve read the rules. Please penalize me, if that’s what you’re set on doing; not the others.
Here are the rules everyone agreed to when they joined the forum.

Rules List:

1a.
No vulgarity, profanity, name calling, or slang expression(s) that could be interpreted as a suggestion of impropriety or generally regarded as demeaning in nature. (Ephesians 5:3-5)

1b.No abusive, insulting, or derogatory language. (Colossians 3:5, 8)

1c. No attacks on another poster's religious beliefs, race, national origin, or gender.

1d. No chats that deteriorate into petty bickering, gossip, backbiting, or argumentative bantering.

2. No Flaming, Goading, Gaslighting or Harassment.

2a. All members should be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy at all times following the rules of civil discourse.

2b. No insults are allowed. Included in this are all forms of flaming, harassment, and trolling/goading as determined at the discretion of the Berean Board Team. Trolling/Goading is defined as repeated attempts through the use of images, cartoons, smileys or text that is designed to be explicitly demeaning, patronizing, embarrassing, or otherwise upsetting to a member or group of members in the community.

2c. This further includes making false statements or accusations about a member. Do not lie about anyone or call them a liar.
Sarcasm is not included under this rule.

2d-Do not attack another member's character in any way. Address the post content, not the member's character, family, denominational affiliation or any other subject that may be perceived as a personal attack by the Berean Board team and is not germane to the topic or post at hand.

2e-Do not state or imply that another member or group of members who have identified themselves as Christian are not Christians. Please privately contact the Berean Board Team to voice your concern and not in public.

2f-If a member requests the cessation of all personal contact, then please respect that member's wish.

2g- when a thread starts becoming heated, our staff may edit any offending posts that are targeted negatively toward another member or otherwise disrupt the flow. A staff member may address you in the offending thread or in Private Message. You may be sent a system notification with a brief description of why the message was deleted from the staff member who removed your post

I’ve already told you that I’ve read them. Perhaps you should consider posting them to trinitarian forum members who have been harassing me (and others). It’s just a suggestion. Do whatever er you think best.

Please report them. This thread was reported so that is why I became involved. Everyone is under the same set of rules.

Please report them.

I won’t be reporting anyone.

This thread was reported so that is why I became involved. Everyone is under the same set of rules.

I’ve taken some time to review the conversation with you. As part of that review, I ruminated on a definition of goad:
”to make a person or an animal react or do something by continuously annoying or upsetting them.

My purpose in posting what I did was not made with the motive of annoying or upsetting anyone.

The last communication addressed to me by @civic that I’ve seen and read conveyed the message that there is no problem.

I don’t know who reported the thread, nor do I want to know or need to know. The thread was reported and you acted as you thought best.

Upon examining myself, I know that I didn’t act in the manner which you think I did.

Out of respect for your authority on this forum, and having no desire to challenge it, I’ve decided to act - as a goodwill gesture - in the way which I would have acted had I been in your place and believed what you believe. (I would have spoken with me privately about the matter, if I were you, but it’s too late for that now.)

Though I’m convinced that I didn’t violate the rules, I’m nevertheless acting as I think you should have once it went public and you, apparently, didn’t believe me when I told you that I had read the rules,

Therefore, I’ve decided that a fair decision would be for me to impose a 24 hour ban on myself. The self-imposed ban will expire at 10:00 p.m. EST on September 24.

Your fellow trinitarians have the spirit of trinitarianism. Whatever else might be said about them, they know that anti-trinitarianism isn’t their spiritual friend.
This touches what is missing from this discussion.

So far it has been a discussion about the idea, trinitarianism, and the idea, non-trinitarianism.

However, the spiritual reality has not yet been discussed.

The trinity is a relationship, in the same way, we are to emulate this relationship in seen and unseen aspects of life.

The trinity that says the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Father, and the Holy Spirit is not the Son or the Father, and that Father, Spirit and Son are God expresses a relationship.

Jesus prayed to the Father in John 17 about those who would believe through the apostles. He said, may they be one as we are.

In spirituality, there is a form of oneness that ignores the individual essence of the person and treats them as an object of the whole. This is the default oneness spirituality on the planet.

However, in trinitarian spirituality, personal boundaries are actually respected.

Another big however though, only those who have been born again by the Holy Spirit can experience this trinitarian oneness as a parable.

So it stands to reason most people quoting bible passages don't get it, because they don't experience it.

Furthermore, a Christianity without trinitarian spirituality isn't any different that wicca, hinduism, buddhism, shintoism, judaism, islam, etc. except for the words used in discussion.

Since non-trinitarianism is being promoted to the point of saying "repent of idolatry," I will also provide a counter offer on repentance: repent of witchcraft.

Thanks. Now why in the world would I or anyone else consider this a violation of the forum rules? It isn’t.

I'd prefer that we respect our positions so I can just end my explanation at "only those who have been born again by the Holy Spirit can experience this trinitarian oneness as a parable."

Since it's not possible to make sense of the trinity, until you experience the reality of it, there's no need to force people to believe stuff they simply cannot.

I’m a Jewish monotheist. You’re a trinitarian. You expressed something about my unitarian theology which is consistent with your trinitarian theology.

Do you recognize and acknowledge that those who practice witchcraft (which is what you’ve said my practice is) aren’t your spiritual friends? That they are, in fact, your spiritual enemies?

I’m an ex-trinitarian.

I’m an ex-trinitarian.
My regenerated Spirit experiences trinitiarian spirituality. However, my body still experiences the default continuum, I still feed my body and take care of it.

Thanks.

I do really think in that polarized kind of way. Those who practice witchcraft are not spiritual friends of mine. Those who practice witchcraft are spiritual enemies of mine.
Everyone outside of God's continuum of spirituality practices a form of witchcraft. There are church goers that do it too. It all goes back to Adam, being born again changes everything.

I almost died when the depth that sin has infected all of creation was revealed to me. Most people totally lose it, but over a decade or so, I found a new way to exist spiritually.
