Paul says in Colossians 1:13 that God “has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.”
Thats, were I want to be. Spiritual Warfare I believe is Satan's attempt hijack our walk with Jesus and other believers. That ole ruler of the powers of darkness, Satan, is none too happy about what God has accomplished in Christ. So Satan’s main goal is to destroy the faith of us Christians by getting us to doubt God’s goodness, love, forgiveness, protection, provision, and promises.
In Adam and Eves time, it wasn't God's "goodness, love, forgiveness, protection, provision," that satan caused Eve to doubt. It was His Wrath, the consequences He promised for blowing off His Commandment in favor of the imaginations of your own mind.
When Satan sets up difficult circumstances in our lives, it is not just to inflict pain; it is for the purpose of destroying our trust in God.
I thought the difficult circumstances in our lives, according to Scriptures, were "trials of our Faith".
1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:
"but God is faithful", who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
So who is in control of the difficult circumstances in our lives if not God? How can Faith Grow if it is not tested?
1 Peter 5:10 - But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Rom. 5: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
So then, given these and many other Scriptures, the purpose of satan is to increase men's Faith, not destroy it. At least according to the Testimony.
We know from Scripture that Satan will not win the spiritual war, but every time he gets a Christian to give up on God, he wins a spiritual battle:
According to Jesus, there are "many" who call Him Lord, Lord, that never trusted God in the first place. We are to "Take heed" we are not deceived by them. But must first prove ourselves as not being "like unto them" as Jesus teaches in Matt. 6.
1NOW THE serpent was more subtle and crafty than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And he [Satan] said to the woman, Can it really be that God has said, You shall not eat from every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat the fruit from the trees of the garden,
3 Except the fruit from the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.
4 But the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die,
5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing the difference between good and evil and blessing and calamity.
Genesis 3:1–5
Satan attempts to deceive humanity in order to make God look bad.
4 But the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die,
Isn't the serpent trying to convince Eve not to trust God's Word?
5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it
(In the day you reject God's Judgment) "
your eyes will be opened", and you will be like God,
knowing the difference between good and evil and blessing and calamity.
Isn't the prince of this world teaching that God's Laws are "against us"? That as long as we "Yield ourselves" servants to obey God, we will remain blind and ignorant.
Isn't that the same message promoted by this world's religious system today?
And he will go forth to deceive and seduce and lead astray the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth—Gog and Magog—to muster them for war; their number is like the sand of the sea. Revelation 20:8
But there are those who repent and turn to God, Yes?
Rev. 14: 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they
that keep the commandments of God,
"and" the faith "of Jesus".
Although Satan has been given temporary freedom to oppose God in this world
19 We know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one.
1 John 5:19
Christ came to ultimately destroy his efforts
It seems like HE came, to give us God's Armor that HE wore to resist the devils efforts. He Himself said "the prince of this world cometh", just before HE ascended into heaven. We have the Armor of God, if we believed enough to "put it on".
From the very beginning the strategy of satan was to be a voice the "professes to know God", who "transforms itself" into an Apostle of Christ. If we "put on the Armor of God, which includes living by "Every Word" that proceeds from the mouth of God, we will be able to overcome, even as HE "put on" the Armor of God and overcame.
