An honest inquiry into the nature of Christology by a Trinitarian

You may as well say Adam's body was divine on that basis, maybe even more divine as only God had anything to do with preparing that body. That body also was without sin.

Christ's body on earth was exactly like ours except it didn't have a sin nature because He had no biological father.
Adam had no biological father as well.

That is why the scripture calls Adam a 'son of God' = Luke 1:38

I know but my point was, if you say Christ's body is Divine because He had no biological father and no sin nature then you must also say Adam's body was divine because his body was formed on the same basis.

Adams body was sinless as was the LORD'S.

Of course the difference was that the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary for His body to be formed.

Hebrews ch10
Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”

Agreed the sad and unbiblical doctrine of a sin nature from birth nowhere found in scripture
I'm definitely going to have to study this one out. I'm sure you have studied this out and know what you're talking about and maybe you could point me in the right direction.

I was always taught that only Jesus did not have a sin nature. That his virgin birth allowed him to enter our world while bypassing the curse passed down from Adam. But we are born with a sinful nature that we inherited from Adam.

Say again....!!!

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

@Wilber truthfully says: "I was always taught that only Jesus did not have a sin nature. That his virgin birth allowed him to enter our world while bypassing the curse passed down from Adam. But we are born with a sinful nature that we inherited from Adam."

100% TRUE and always check the scriptures because there are many who speak in unbelief, religion and out of plain ignorance of the Scriptures.

I've already just now check the scriptures and all the ones that I've looked at under the topic of sin nature seem to point to us inheriting it. I just want to see if there's something I'm missing.

I'm not seeing your point. You said originally that Christ's flesh was Deity on the basis it was prepared (not Divinely Begotten) by God and without sin, but so was Adam's body. You don't consider Adam's body to be Deity do you? I'm sure you don't, just asking to be sure. :)

His flesh was deity only in this perspective = his Body was Divinely Begotten = being formed without sin
His body wasn't Deity or it wouldn't have been able to die.

And you would be correct. Romans 7 tells us of the different law that is at work in our flesh, a law that cause abnormalities, disease and ultimately physical death. It is passed on through our fathers which, is why Christ had no human father.

And just to note something: it is not a "nature" as we understand nature. That is just nomenclature. It is a genetically formed corruption in the flesh.

No sin nature.

Jesus has two natures, but is only God.

If I study and teach something for twenty five years I must be correct.

Is there a "name" to this sect?
Its none I know of....

What is an example of a sinful nature?

''Hatred'' (Gk echthra), i.e., intense, hostile intentions and acts; extreme dislike or enmity.

“Discord'' (Gk eris) quarreling, antagonism; a struggle for superiority (Rom 1:29; 1 Cor 1:11;3:3 )

''Jealousy'' (Gk zelos), i.e., resentfulness, envy of another's success (Rom 13:13; 1Cor 3:3)

My gosh! I just realized that some I needed to put on Ignore have a sin nature!
