1000 thousand years is not literal

I’m so happy I don’t need friends to be validated. But Damn me if I can’t say I hate the things we all gotta do to get by in life.

Allow the body to break for as long as you can.

The battle of Armageddon is still future

The word Armageddon is used generically today to refer to any type of catastrophic conflict, especially if it’s seen as likely to result in widespread destruction or the annihilation of human life. In the Bible, Armageddon refers to a climactic future battle between God and the forces of evil, as recorded in the book of Revelation. The word ultimately comes from the Hebrew word Har-Magedone, which means “Mount Megiddo,” the predicted location of the battle.

Revelation 16:12–16 is the record of what will happen toward the end of the tribulation, when an angel pours out the sixth bowl judgment on the earth. The word Armageddon makes its only appearance in the Bible in this passage:

“The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty. . . . Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.”

In Revelation 19:11–20, a final battle occurs at Christ’s second coming as the conquering Christ defeats the forces of the Antichrist. We take this to be a description of the Battle of Armageddon mentioned in Revelation 16:

“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter.’ He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

“And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, ‘Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.’

“Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.”

The exact location of Armageddon is unclear because there is no mountain called Meggido. However, since Har can also mean “hill,” the most likely location is the hill country surrounding the plain of Meggido, some sixty miles north of Jerusalem. Throughout history, armies have fought countless battles in that region: Egyptians, Assyrians, Greeks, Romans, and Crusaders fought in Megiddo, as well as the armies of Napoleon. Megiddo was the site of battles during World War I and the Arab-Israeli War of 1948 (Weintraub, P., “Rewriting Tel Megiddo’s Violent History,” Discover, Sep 30, 2015). In the future, the plain of Megiddo and the nearby plain of Esdraelon will also be the focal point for the battle of Armageddon.

The plain of Megiddo, or Armageddon, was famous for two great victories in Israel’s history: 1) Barak’s victory over the Canaanites (Judges 4:15) and 2) Gideon’s victory over the Midianites (Judges 7). Armageddon was also the site of two great tragedies: 1) the death of Saul and his sons (1 Samuel 31:8) and 2) the death of King Josiah (2 Kings 23:29–30; 2 Chronicles 35:22).

According to the futurist interpretation of Revelation, which is our view, the Battle of Armageddon will be a real battle in the future, near the end of the tribulation. Demonic influences will cause the kings of the earth to gather their armies for an all-out assault on Jerusalem. The Antichrist will be leading the charge (Revelation 16:13–16). Jesus Christ will return to earth with the armies of heaven (Matthew 25:31; Revelation 19:14); His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:4); He will defeat the forces of evil (Revelation 19:15–16); He will cast the Antichrist and the false prophet into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20); He will bind Satan; and He will set up His kingdom on earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1–6). At Armageddon the Lord Jesus Christ “treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty” (Revelation 19:15), and all things will be made right.got?

1-What is the GREAT TRIBULATION ?

2-Has it already happened ?

3-Or is it still in the future ?

The tribulation is a future time period when the Lord will accomplish at least two aspects of His plan: 1) He will complete His discipline of the nation Israel (Daniel 9:24), and 2) He will judge the unbelieving, godless inhabitants of the earth (Revelation 6—18). The length of the tribulation is seven years. This is determined by an understanding of the seventy weeks of Daniel (Daniel 9:24–27; also see the article on the tribulation). The Great Tribulation is the last half of the tribulation period, three and one-half years in length. It is distinguished from the tribulation period because the beast, or Antichrist, will be revealed, and the wrath of God will greatly intensify during this time. Thus, it is important at this point to emphasize that the tribulation and the Great Tribulation are not synonymous events. Within eschatology (the study of future things), the tribulation refers to the full seven-year period while the “Great Tribulation” refers to the second half of the tribulation.

It is Christ Himself who used the phrase Great Tribulation with reference to the last half of the tribulation. In Matthew 24:21, Jesus says, “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be” (ESV). In this verse Jesus is referring to the event of Matthew 24:15, which describes the revealing of the abomination of desolation, the man also known as the Antichrist. Also, Jesus in Matthew 24:29–30 states, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days . . . will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (ESV). In this passage, Jesus defines the Great Tribulation (verse 21) as beginning with the revealing of the abomination of desolation (verse 15) and ending with Christ’s second coming (verse 30).

Other passages that refer to the Great Tribulation are Daniel 12:1b, which says, “And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time” (ESV). It seems that Jesus was quoting this verse when He spoke the words recorded in Matthew 24:21. Also referring to the Great Tribulation is Jeremiah 30:7, “Alas! That day is so great there is none like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; yet he shall be saved out of it” (ESV). The “distress for Jacob” refers to Israel’s experience of persecution and natural disasters such as have never before been seen.

Considering the information Christ gave us in Matthew 24:15–30, it is easy to conclude that the beginning of the Great Tribulation has much to do with the abomination of desolation, an action of the Antichrist. In Daniel 9:26–27, we find that this man will make a “covenant” (a peace pact) with the world for seven years. Halfway through the seven-year period, this man will break the covenant he made, stopping sacrifice and grain offering, which specifically refers to his actions in the rebuilt temple of the future. Revelation 13:1–10 gives even more detail concerning the beast’s actions, and just as important, it also verifies the length of time he will be in power. Revelation 13:5 says he will be in power for 42 months, which is three and one-half years, the length of the Great Tribulation.

Revelation offers us the most information about the Great Tribulation. From Revelation 13 when the beast is revealed until Christ returns in Revelation 19, we are given a picture of God’s wrath on the earth because of unbelief and rebellion (Revelation 16—18). It is also a picture of how God disciplines and at the same time protects His people Israel (Revelation 14:1–5) until He keeps His promise to Israel by establishing an earthly kingdom (Revelation 20:4–6).got?

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

John 17:17
Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.

1 Thessalonians 2:13
And we continually thank God because, when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it truly is, the word of God, which is also now at work in you who believe.

Matthew 4:4
But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Isaiah 55:11
so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it.

Acts 17:11
Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.

Ephesians 6:17
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

All there mostly is talk on here is just trinity banter on this website … lol….

It seems like a lot of users aren’t real but extra accounts set up by people here to talk to themselves.

It’s really weird. There are so many people out there that just want to cause division and name call and tell people you ain’t Christian cause you don’t think like me, talk like me, read the bible like me.

Type stuff.
The Trinity is the True God. So we teach and preach the truth about God.

I'm glad you noticed most members here believe in the Trinity.

Jesus came to bring division. Gods truth is divisive to those who are " religious"

Luke 12:51
Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.

Matthew 10:34
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword

Dude you can’t even accept a simple request of leaving me alone I think you are crazy. Rude. And arrogant truly.

You excuse your own behavior for yourself so you can continue to banter about without any real repercussions or consequences.

That’s alright though. God will take care of us both cause he cuts people back.

you don't have to respond to anything I post.

and btw your behavior in this thread would have you banned on any christian forum on the internet. no exceptions.

you do not talk with any grace, love, respect etc......... there is no fruit of the spirit which includes self control.

but it doesn't seem like you care what Jesus thinks about this, or the Holy Spirit.

you just want to rant and give your unbiblical opinions.

I'm sharing scripture about what I believe unlike you. Thats the difference between us. You can care less what the bible says as I have demonstrated in this thread. You refuse to discuss the scriptures. @Administrator

on a side note I'm not going anywhere as this is my forum that I started. several believer wanted me to start this forum so
I did and God is using in in peoples lives.

just like the churches in different cities we all have a choice where we choose to go to church on a Sunday, weekly prayer and study groups. the same with christian internet forums as there are plenty to choose from.

and I'm the one extending grace, patience, love etc....... any moderator or forum owner on the internet would never tolerate such disrespect.

so hopefully you will heed my advice and either ignore my posts ( I'm never going to stop posting in threads that I'm passionate about) or move on to a different discussion.

p.s. I'm not asking for you to like me as I don't care who likes me or not. you signed up on this forum agreeing to its rules that apply to everyone.

here are thr rules everyone agrees to

Love endures long and is patient and kind…
1 CORINTHIANS 13:4

The first quality of love listed in Paul’s discourse in 1 Corinthians 13 in the Bible is patience. Paul writes that love endures long and is patient. Love is long-suffering. It remains steady and consistent when things are not going the way you wish they would.

Ah but truth hurts.

lol… god forbid a person be honest about a situation.

I can’t help how people feel.

And I can’t be Jesus to everyone. Jesus was Jesus. I am not him.

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18

Christlikeness The process by which believers are conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ, especially in relation to obedience to and trust in God. Through the Holy Spirit, God refashions believers in the image of his Son, who is set before them as a model of the form of the redeemed life. Believers are to become Christlike.

Ignorance is bliss. I hate religious people… they are the most condescending people in the world.

Love for Enemies

43You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[and hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:43-48

I don’t have any enemies quoting this is irrelevant…

If all you can do is quote scripture you miss the entire point…

You’re not Jesus.

the only true enemy I have is myself, and the darkness which resides within me….

I don’t have to fear satan he was done away with the bible says so…

I don’t have to fear human beings…

I only have to fear my own capabilities of what is know that is capable of.

Pointing the faults of others is not a crime….

It’s the sensitivity and feelings of the person which can either be calloused and not give two penny’s…

Or they absolutely hate the beliefs of others.

I don’t hate the beliefs of others but I do believe there are many people misusing scripture and twisting it for their own personal benefit…

But if pointing out faults of another human being is a crime.

I just need to be put in prison.
