1000 thousand years is not literal

Not according to Revelation....

See what I mean by people using scriputre just so willy nilly.

Doesn't even make any sense.

But of course many people don't believe Jesus returned either so....

Its kind of like - I just throw my hands up - believe what you want to.

Im not gonna change just cause you or anyone else believes I need to...

Im not gonna say you are not chrisitan just cause you don't understand what is being talked about... that would be rhetorical and critizing in an abusive way.

Thats what people say to me. Matthew youre not a christian cause you believe Jesus came back already or whatever...

Its really stupid.

Extremely stupid actually...

People say I take away their hope... but I am not the one who was hoping to see Jesus come back...

Those people in that day were encouraged to stay faithful and remain patient and they would see times of his return nearer and to not lose faith, and the bride would be perfect, blameless, and spotless...

That bride on earth today doesn't exist.

But someone is gonna come around and quote scripture and act like they doing some type of service for you when they are not.

Those are the people you need to be weary of...

Those who act...

An act can be just as good as a betrayal.

Act of good measure to someone when you never asked in the first place...

Oh look at my goodness I am helping my brother...

Oh I am concerned for my brother... I need to help him, he has lost faith....

All kinds of man-ipulation exist... from male or female doesn't matter...

This is why its important to explore and study and seek what is going on for oneself...

Never trust me, never trust anyone else... seek out information and grow in knowledge and grow by the spirit in living a faithfully filled life...

CAuse even though I believe Jesus had come back I still have faith and hope, one day to die and go to heaven...

It's not like I just don't have beliefs that correlate concerning the things JEsus had done in which we see we too will rise again like him one day when we die.

I hope to go to into the city gates of heaven... if I dont get to go and God says no matthew, thats fine too.

But I don't for a minute not think that God doesn't love me or care about me, or you.

Satan attacks our minds.

For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.
[Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 2 Corinthians 10:4,5

Satan attempts to set up “strongholds” in our mind. A stronghold is an area in which we are held in bondage, in prison
due to a certain way of thinking.

Strongholds are mental habit patterns of thought. Some call them “flesh patterns.” These strongholds are memory traces burned into our minds over time or by the intensity of traumatic experiences. They are similar to what psychologists call defense mechanisms, and they always reveal themselves in a less-than-Christlike temperament.

The only attack is the darkness that lives in you.

Jesus speak on the heart of man... he experienced what was in the heart of man.

You can find it in Marks Gospel...

Maybe Matthews.

I am not gonna keep talking about Satan.

You are literally your own worst enemy.

There is darkness inside of you - that you have to wrestle around with... don't care if you are a 6 year old child.

It's funny people can't even realize this....

Its probably cause people dont ever sit and actually read the bible...

They just qoute whatever other people have said and just go with that...

I can be a stronghold against my own self by telling myself - I am stupid, I am not good enough, Ill never be able to do ... These people don't like me because this and that and the third. - you can also have dark thoughts, hatred, greed, lust.

That is why you are your own worst enemy.

People just think when you believe in jesus you just because a light ray of sunshine when really you still have darkness in you...

Its more complex than the simplicity people can create it to be... and make it sound all sweet like God will bless you and never cut you back.

You gotta get real... you gotta get serious.

But if you are only someone who wants to surface, stay on the surface or go deeper the deeper things of God....

Thats on you... and I can't do anything but encourage people to think for themselves.

Get a study bible like Thompson Chain Reference Guide.

No we are not. But believe it if you want.

A coworker believes we are too. Great do that.

I don’t have to.

Thanks for the disagreement.

It’s retarded to go back and forth.

All those quotes are to people who were breathing and living at that time.

I don’t want help.
So if you believe Jesus kingdom is now, and you understand the given fact that a kingdom is a reflection of it's king, how do you explain this? I mean, I do believe that the Earth is a reflection of its "ruler" and that is Satan. You don't have to look very far to see this. Would Jesus, the righteous, sinless Lamb of God, be the reflection of this world, as the world would be the reflection of its ruler? Or is that Satan? If it is Satan, does that mean that when scripture says that Satan has a little while, that we are STILL within that "little while" given to Satan?

I say Jesus took care of Satan. (Eventually you see in revelation that Satan is done away with; god forbid it be true to people.)

Other people do to; they say : “Satan was defeated but not yet.”

How does that in itself make any sense?

I believe God is in control today… but people say oh Matthew look at the world…

So what? God has allowed all to be.

I think humans are incapable of reflection of Jesus..

Cause you are not him. The only fruit which can be discerned is between bad or good fruit.

That good fruit comes from him and not you.

Faith and love is the two most important things.

great question brother !!!

if satan didn't exist and rule this world then neither would sin and evil exist.

thats why in the new heavens and earth sin/evil will no longer exist and be done away with in the eternal kingdom of Christ/God.

p.s. - on a side note believers are Christians who have been born of the Spirit, have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them, they are Gods temple where He lives and they are given the mind of Christ.

hope this helps !!!

Im so happy Satan has been taken care of by Jesus.

Foolish people don't realize that it's the darkness we fight against.

That lies within ourselves.

Jesus spoke about this.

But if you dont like taking accountability for your own decisiosn just blame Satan...

Lol...

Im very far away from your thoughts. If that makes me lost, so be it.

I find rest for my soul looking at the Lord Yeshua, and what I could never do.

What did Jesus say?

You gonna fight these things til the day you die.

In Mark 7:21-23, Jesus teaches that what comes out of a person, such as evil thoughts, deceit, envy, and pride, defiles them more than what goes into a person from the outside. He emphasizes that the true impact of sin goes beyond just outward actions; it affects a person’s inner being and their relationship with God.

It's your heart that is the important matter.... it's not this fight against Satan people continue to suggest...

They are lying... They believe in Jesus but they dont believe he has taken care of Satan....

think about how senseless that is.

If that’s the case then why are you tempted to sin, why do you sin if Jesus actually took care of sin and Satan ?

Everything in life—the decisions we make, the words we speak, and the actions we take—begins in the mind. Before we say or do anything, we think about it. The fact that our thoughts are so powerful and wield so much influence over every area of our lives is why the enemy, Satan, attacks our minds so often and so strategically.

No matter what the enemy does, he is a defeated foe. Jesus has won the victory over him, and He wants us to enjoy the victorious life He died to give us. To enforce the victory Jesus wants us to have, we need to know how to recognize and resist the enemy’s attempts to use our thoughts against us.

The Bible has a lot to say about words, thoughts, and the mind. I believe you will quickly locate the source of many of your problems when you begin to think about what you have been thinking about.

The thought of evil spirits that can influence the way we think may be new to you, and it may be disconcerting. But the Bible teaches that they do exist.

For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
Ephesians 6:12

If you think Satan no longer has assess to our minds you have already lost the battle and your being deceived by him.

:) It doesn't matter what people think.

It says its true in the bible.

Jesus came to take care of the devil and crush his head.

You are pretty useless with a crushed head, especially if you are not considering the total victory of Jesus.

God has reconciled the world unto himself, its no longer possessed by Satan.

But if you are someone who doesnt believe this is the case live in fear...

All I know is myself and what I am capable of and the darkness within myself.

I also know that in this world there are people human beings that are bent on committing evil, and have influnces that can effect other people and its best to know yourself and not be in bondage to them.

But heck I might be wrong, but I dont believe I am... never believe me...

But dont believe any on the internet anyway... be careful discern for yourself!

It's strange you have a bible but don't know the answer, @civic.

James 1:14-16

14: Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15: These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

This all co-relates back to what Jesus said.

I actually don't think about sin all that much... I know right from wrong and what I define as evil within the context of my own life...

If a person desire to murder someone that is evil.
If a person desire to harm a child in illegal activities, that is evil.
If a person desires to want to steal things from someone, that to me is evil.
If a person desires to want to be jealous and do something in this jealousy to have something for themselves - that is evil...
If a person desire to want to be prideful and look at others as though they are stupid and ignorant and not worthy of God, that is evil.

There are people whom are ignorant, I am still ignorant of some things, however that doesn't disqualify me as a believer in God, or someone who is not loved by God.

Just as everyone else I see with my own two eyes - people are loved by God.... and it's up to them to have faith, and look towards him and his son and that is where they will find God is pleased, and those who seek him out will be rewarded.

Even so, I have no problem with watching movies that have horror elements in them, or music that might be horror esk, cause I dont listen to country all that much. Ill listen to music with drug use and what not in the lyrics it's not like its 24/7 all the time, but I dont mind listen to music i like, or watching movies that have murders in them like a hitman movie or something even that of horror.

I dont mind shooting people down in Call of Duty, just pass time on a game.
Or watching the evils of other people on youtube and watching them get caught.

There many christians that say you can't do that... they are very wrong... I know what is evil, and I know what is right.

And as long as I know these things that means I am aware of them, and all things are lawful for me though not everything is benefical.

Then there is 1 Peter 5:8, which warns believers to be watchful because their adversary, the devil, "prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour," urging them to resist in faith and stay alert against spiritual danger.
Seems like Satan is not done away with according to the bible.

2Thessalonians 2:9–10 says, “Satan comeswith all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.” Satan hates the truth of the gospel and the truth of the cross more than any other truth.
