Like Jerusalem the literal physical city was literally taken, houses were literally rifled, women were literally raped, and the literally went into captivity.

Thats what prophecy does.

God tells us, these things will happen. and this is how and what will happen.

the question is. Did all that God said would happen happen?

If it did (like say Jesus was born of a virgin in Bethlehem. and when he comes the lame will walk. the blind will see etc etc. Or he comes 69 weeks after the command to restore jerusalem. Literal prophecy which came true to the T

I've seen it happen throughout my life. Someone will have a very old manuscript fragment that is potentially very valuable. People will hype the significance of that fragment to increase website traffic or museum traffic. They will create photocopies of the fragment and sell them for $60 bucks or more. It can become very lucrative. People make money off Bibles. People write Bible software and that is free and then sell modules. All of this is often little more than a marketing strategy.

I'm not against anyone doing most of this but they shouldn't pretend they are only "in it for Jesus". You read the same intent in John chapter 6:26....

Very few people in this world do what they do solely for Jesus. I've once told myself I was doing what I did for God while I was trying my best to make a living from doing it.....

I chose to have a career and to do what I do for Christ "of no charge". I don't want to abuse my position in Christ. Did you know that "without charge" is found in the Bible.....
