World = US = John 3:16

Behold

Well-known member
21 """"For God hath made him to be sin for US..., who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."""

That is a Very interesting verse., as its speaking about everyone's opportunity to become a Christian.

Notice the "US".

Now a deceived Calvinist, will see that word and their Calvinism cult mind takes over and they read "elect". or "pre-destined".

But the verse does not say "elect" or "pre-destined"..

Its says "US">.

Who are the US?

A.) Sinners......... as the verse is talking about God giving Jesus "to the World".... so that "US" might be made righteous.

Who is that "US"?

That is... "For God so loved THE WORLD".. = US..... Everyone..

See "the World"? That is not talking about the dirt and the clouds.....that is talking about EVERYONE. = The "US".

Now, where to go with this verse, if you want to show someone how to understand it further.

Remember Reader... we learn the NT, from Paul, regarding "doctrine"... so, its Paul who tells us that to get the fullest understanding, is to "rightly divide" and "discern", and "compare scripture with scripture".

Now, if you are just water baptized and religious, and you are not really born again, then the Bible, regarding you, is "under lock and key".
And if you try to learn it, and you are not born again, you will become confused and end up believing some very strange ideas.

So, when you read... "God made Jesus to be sin for US".... = you then read Corinthians 5:19, as that explains John 3:16..

And you get this...

"God hath made Jesus to be sin ... .. for US".

How?

"For God so loved the WORLD that He gave Jesus" (John 3:16)

Consequence. ....

2 Corinthians 5:19

God was in Christ, 1.) reconciling the WORLD unto himself, (there is the US)..... 2..)not imputing their trespasses unto THEM (world) ; and hath committed unto..US .. 3.) us (the already born again)... the word of reconciliation.

Now notice.... "that we MIGHT BE made the Righteousness of God, in Him".
Why does the verse say "MIGHT BE made"?, when in fact, All are made righteous, who are Saved?
Its because not all will Believe....... some choose to reject Christ, even tho ALL are given The Cross of Christ.. .yet not all will have it.

Hebrews 6
Hebrews 10
Acts 28:28

So, that 'MIGHT", means.....>"IF they will believe" and if they will then God does the rest.

However they MIGHT NOT., as Free Will gives you that CHOICE.

Any who do not believe are a part of the world Christ came to save

John 12:47 (ESV) — 47 If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

notice the parallel to

John 3:17 (ESV) — 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

The "world" is in context to who Saul is writing to. He's writing to the "world" of Jews and Jewish Christians.

God has covenant only with the Hebrews/Jews. They are the "world" for whom Saul is writing.
The Greek word is interpreted in context. Being that God has covenant with the seed of Abraham and was sent to deliver them by dying for their sins, they are the only ones who are recipient of the covenant promises.
God has no covenant with Gentiles and is under no obligation to save any non-Hebrew.

The "world" is in context to who Saul is writing to. He's writing to the "world" of Jews and Jewish Christians.

Jesus sent Paul to the Gentiles, not to the Jews.

Paul is the "apostle to the GENTILES".. so, that is "not only the jew"... is it..

So, the context of "world" is.. : John 3:16

"For God so loved the WORLD = that He Gave JESUS".... to the world as their opportunity to become a CHRISTian.

Jesus sent Paul to the Gentiles, not to the Jews.
Why? Because it states he is apostle to the Gentiles? But which Gentiles? Those who are present in synagogue, allied with Israel, citizens of Israel, obedient to the Torah, circumcised, and closest to the nation of Israel and receiving the blessings of Abraham and not being in covenant?
Or do you mean the hard-core, uncircumcised, non-Hebrew, non-covenant Roman, Scythian, and Barbarian enemies to the Jews Gentiles? Everywhere Saul went he went first to the synagogues and then into the homes of Jewish Christians where born-again proselytes and God-Fearers were present to hear him speak and responded accordingly. These are the Gentiles spoken of in the NT unless the context identifies the enemy-Gentiles.

20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:
21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
22 What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.
23 Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;
24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law. Acts 21:20–24.

It is a Hebrew covenant. Christ was the fulfillment of promises and prophecies to save HIS PEOPLE (the Hebrews) from their sins and the reason why He died. The prophecy about His being the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the "world" of Hebrews is in accordance with Scripture. It's their covenant, He's their Messiah. Let's not continue the inheritance theft that belongs only to Israel.
Paul is the "apostle to the GENTILES".. so, that is "not only the jew"... is it..

So, the context of "world" is.. : John 3:16

"For God so loved the WORLD = that He Gave JESUS".... to the world as their opportunity to become a CHRISTian.
God so loved the "world" of Jews whom He came to save:

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Mt 1:21.

His people are the Jews.

Why? Because it states he is apostle to the Gentiles? But which Gentiles? Those who are present in synagogue,

There were no gentiles in the Synagogues, at that time.

Here is the reality.

Jesus said that He chose Paul to take the GOSPEL to the "Gentiles"....

Paul is the "Apostle to the Gentiles".

When?

"In the Time of the GENTILES"...

When is that?

From The Cross of Christ.... to the beginning of the Trib.........this is the : "Time of the Gentiles".

If you read Acts 28:28, you'll see Paul going to the Gentiles with the GOSPEL.

God has covenant only with the Hebrews/Jews. They are the "world" for whom Saul is writing.

sorry world is not a synonym for jews only

2 Corinthians 5:18–19 (KJV 1900) — 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

And you are simply denying scripture

Ephesians 2:11–22 (KJV 1900) — 11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Both are reconciled

There were no gentiles in the Synagogues, at that time.
There definitely were Gentiles in the synagogues. They're called circumcised, obedient to the Torah, proselytes and uncircumcised, uncommitted God-Fearers like the devout Cornelius (Acts 10.)
Proselytes were allied with Israel and committed to the Torah and raised their families in the Torah.
Here is the reality.

Jesus said that He chose Paul to take the GOSPEL to the "Gentiles"....

Paul is the "Apostle to the Gentiles".

When?

"In the Time of the GENTILES"...
The Times of the Gentiles one scholar says began around AD 68. I put it more after the destruction of the Temple after AD 70.
When is that?

From The Cross of Christ.... to the beginning of the Trib.........this is the : "Time of the Gentiles".

If you read Acts 28:28, you'll see Paul going to the Gentiles with the GOSPEL.
The Gentiles he was commanded to go to were proselytes and God-Fearers.
Romans, Scythians, Barbarians, and other non-Hebrews were enemies of the people of Israel. To Israel and God, they were unclean, uncircumcised, idol-worshipers. And they had thousands of idols.

sorry world is not a synonym for jews only

2 Corinthians 5:18–19 (KJV 1900) — 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

"Kosmos" is a word used of anyone in context to the discussion. There is the "world" of Jews just as there is a "world" of Gentiles or a "world" of trouble.
Context.

Sorry you have not demonstrated that claim from scripture, and you have no lexical support. You invent your own word meanings apart from scripture

There definitely were Gentiles in the synagogues.

Meaningless.

Jesus came to the House of Israel.

After He was crucified, He later sent PAUL , who is the "apostle to the Gentiles", and that is because once Jesus was risen, then back in Heaven, the "time of the Gentiles" had come, and its still going.... and so, Paul was chosen by Jesus to be THAT Apostle.

The Gospel that Paul was given, that He calls "MY Gospel" is what the born again are to preach in "the time of the Gentiles".

Its this..

"The Preaching of the Cross"... "Justification by faith".... "the imputed righteousness of Christ".

This.

2 Corinthians 5:19

John 3:17

Strong's:

Probably from the base of komizo; orderly arrangement, i.e. Decoration; by implication, the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively (morally))

"including its inhabitants."

The word can identify Jews as well as Gentiles as these two groups of people exist on the planet (world.)

Context.

And there is "Jesus made the World".

And there is the "World Series".

So, While there are Jews and Gentiles....... the deeper perspective is Saved or unsaved. Believer or unbeliver.

This is John 3:16... "For God so loved the WORLD".....of SINNERs........

And that is why this verse says...>"Jesus came into the WORLD, to save SINNERS".....

Who is that?

A.) The World

And there is "Jesus made the World".
Agree.
And there is the "World Series".
Yup.
So, While there are Jews and Gentiles....... the deeper perspective is Saved or unsaved. Believer or unbeliver.
There have always been obedient and disobedient. There have always been the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. Always two groups of people in the 'world' (on the planet.)
And the seed of the woman are those in covenant, or in the case of Eve, the marriage covenant and those born in the marriage covenant.
It begins here.
Being that God 'married' Adam and Eve it can be accepted God continued such coupling thereafter.
But the seed of the serpent are those not obedient to do it God's way through marriage and shacking up without making marriage covenant before God is disobedience to God. The seed of the woman can also be figurative of those born of God in Christ, and those in Christ are those in covenant, which the seed of the serpent are illegitimate or bastards.
This also prefigures the Church who is Israel in Scripture and to whom God is betrothed. Thus, those "born of God" (John) are those in marriage covenant and the marriage covenant is with Israel. Israel is the biblical Bride of Christ (God.) And the children born are those in covenant, legal, and will not only "be (ye) holy for I am holy" but will after the completion of their sanctification become holy. Or, as it is said, "washed by the water by the Word."
Ya falla?

This is John 3:16... "For God so loved the WORLD".....of SINNERs........
That's not what it says. You're interjecting what YOU THINK it should say and adding to the bible. Stay with the text.
For God so loved....WHO? (Jn. 3:16.)
Well, here's a clue:

7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Deut 7:7–8.

At the time written it didn't mean the world of non-Hebrews but exactly that: the children of Israel (the last covenant after divorce and remarriage)
At the time John wrote 3:16 the context would have to be the 'world' of Jews.

Therefore, God so loved the world of Hebrew/children of Israel/Jews.
That's who He was sent to and also the people He would save. (Hebrews/Jews.) Hence, His Name - Jesus/Yeshua.

Although in this life there are obedient and disobedient Jews, they are all as seed of Abraham and still in a covenant, an eternal covenant, with God (which is what marriage is.)
And that is why this verse says...>"Jesus came into the WORLD, to save SINNERS".....

Who is that?

A.) The World
Jesus came "into the world" of men to save His people (Matt. 1:21) and to take out of the world ([of men] John 17) His people.
The problem with Gentile interpretation is they've unmoored true, biblical Christianity from its Hebrew roots, stole their covenants, their terms and language such as "Bride" and "Church" and "saints" and made it their own. But those terms identify the children of Israel.
So, take those terms into the New Covenant which is Christ was sacrificed according to the Scripture (which is the Law) and His death for sin was not for the whole world of mankind, but His people the Jews (Hebrews.) They are the recipients and participants of God's covenants are they not? Yes, they are.
When you look at everything covenanted and prophesied in the Hebrew Scripture (OT) with the Hebrew people FIRST ("to the Jew first...") THEN you can correctly see the place Gentiles take in salvation (notice I didn't say covenant.) Because Gentiles that are born again become "in Christ" and merely being in Christ does not make for being in covenant UNLESS one is a Jew.

Had the Temple NOT been destroyed God's people (the Jews) would still occupy a predominant role in salvation 'world' history would have come out much differently and as born-again of the Spirit, just like proselytes, would be obedient to the Torah because as the Law is spiritual and, in our conversion, we become spiritual, the Law now instructs in righteousness and MAKES one righteous when obediently obeyed and applied. Sanctified by the washing of the Word/Law.
Salvation is of the Jews.
Start there.
THEN you can begin to see what place Gentiles have in the Jewish salvation.

I do not see any limitation which would mean jews only

John 12:47 (KJV 1900) — 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

here world includes any unbeliever

you just ignore scripture

Any who do not believe are a part of the world Christ came to save

John 12:47 (ESV) — 47 If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
Yeah so let's focus again in this. Quite interesting.

To a Calvinist if someone hears God's word and does not keep them they would be a part of the ungodly world. So the context is the ungodly world. But Jesus clearly states HE CAME TO SAVE THEM. Not what they're idea is of the elect BUT.....he came to save all! THEY CLAIM, Calvinists claim he didn't. I think we'll stay with the words of Jesus.

That's not what it says. You're interjecting what YOU THINK it should say and adding to the bible. Stay with the text.
For God so loved....WHO? (Jn. 3:16.)

Who is the "world "?

These.

""""""God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing THEIR trespasses unto them""

Thats all the human race.

Exactly it is so clear that only by a willful refusal to believe scripture can one reject this.

Exactly it is so clear that only by a willful refusal to believe scripture can one reject this.

How can God "Predestine" a person to be born... and not be GOD chosen to trust in Christ,..... and then God send them to Hell, for being a Christ Rejector.?

How can God JUSTIFY, being "God is Love" and Truth, and Honesty, and a lover of JUSTICE, if God wont choose you to be the "elect", and then God sends you to Hell for not believing in Jesus?

That is a Psychopath God : = and that is John Calvin's Theology.

Its from The DEVIL.
