"Works Salvation"

Do we present our bodies as a living sacrifice BEFORE or AFTER salvation?

Do any of the verses you've posted speak to obedience?

Your verses:

John 3.16
16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

IF we believe in Jesus we will have eternal life.
What does BELIEVE mean anyway?
If we believe in Jesus are we required to obey Him?
Or is it a choice?

John 3:36
36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

Some on this very forum have stated that obedience is a work.
Do YOU believe obeying God is a work?
So they try to change the word OBEY above to NOT BELIEVE...which, if you know anything about the Greek language,
means exactly the same. But it seems that the word OBEY is objectionable.

John 6:40
40 "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

Yes sir, the will of the Father is that none be lost. 1 Timothy 2:4
And those that obey the Son will NOT be lost.
Does obedience to Jesus include good works?
Did Jesus preach about this for over 3 years?

John 10:28
28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never * perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

John 10:28 is different from the other verses you've posted and I don't know why you have.
But, yes, nothing can take us from the love of God.

Why would Christians find it objectionable to state that we are to obey Jesus' teachings?
Does the word BELIEVE signify obedience or not?
Do we present our bodies as a living sacrifice BEFORE or AFTER salvation?
Only AFTER Salvation can one present their body as a Living sacrifice unto God

You are a liar

you have falsly accused me multiple times. and lied about what you have or have not done

Maybe show a little humility. and you will not be called out so much.

as for not saved. again, I question your salvation/. I have not said you are not saved. so again, you have been caught in another lie.

Keep it up girl.. The mods are watching
Sure doesn't seem like they are.

It is right and true to obey Jesus' teachings. That is the right response to being given eternal life. As others have said

I've heard otherwise or I wouldn't be on this thread.

Please pay attention to what some Christians have to say about obedience to God and the teachings of our Lord.
I find it pretty shocking.

those "actions" are preceeded by................God or man???
We love because God loved us.
We act because God acted and commanded us to action as well.
Jesus died to secure salvation for us, to make it possible.
We must accept salvation through obedient faith: through doing what He said results in receiving His gift.

you just proved me right..

I am moving on..

You can't tell me I am wrong. then prove me right by your words..
You see what you want to see. Answer my questions (which you have ignored twice now) please:
Did Naaman contribute anything at all to his cleansing by doing what the prophet told him God told him to do?
Did the Israelites contribute anything at all to their healing when they looked at the bronze serpent Moses put on the pole?
Did the widow contribute anything at all to extending her food when she gave here last meal to the prophet?
Did the other widow contribute anything at all when she borrowed the jars the prophet told her to borrow to pour oil into?
Did Israel contribute anything at all to earning the Promised Land when they went to war with the nations in the land God had already given to them?
Did Israel contribute anything at all to the fall of the walls of Jericho by marching around it like they were told?

This is what JESUS says works on our behalf unto Salvation - John 6:28-29

Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Well.. mailmandan and eternally greatful both would say it is right to do good works..but that these works do not save someone. That is what is being said. No one is saying don't obey Jesus. But they are saying obedience isn't bound to salvation.

Again, "believe" is from the Greek word "pistis" which means "faith". It is not the American connotation of "intellectual assent", but an active faith as described in James 2:20, 22, 24, 26. The work of God is that you have faith, doing what He commands and acting as His servant (Luke 17:7-10).

When did I ever say otherwise??
when you say we work to keep salvation.

when you say obedience is required to keep salvation

I do not see why you do not understand that gaining salvation and keeping salvation are both the same

If I have to work to gain salvation. I have to continue to work to keep salvation or I was never saved completely I am continually trying to gain salvation

saying you come in the spirit (by faith) but mist continue in the flesh 9works ) to keep saved. you are trying to gain salvation.

but if you want actual posts. here you go

1. Works keep us saved.. ie, I am doing works to ensure I am saved or maintain my salvation. or in the end, to gain salvation
They keep us saved.

No obedience.
No salvation.
we can not be saved without obedience to God.. ie. we gain salvation by our good deeds..
Obedience to God is mandatory to our salvation.
if need. I can find more. But only one is really all I need. and I have found 2
