What's Wrong with Calvinism?

Try reading the text as the concept of being in Christ is seen multiple times

Ephesians 1:1–13 (NASB95) — 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight 9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him 10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him 11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Read it. So it says "even as He chose us". Who is the us and when was the choice made?

"Chose us in Him". Thats what it says. Not "those on Christ".
Is there a reason you keep avoiding the whole verse

Ephesians 1:4 (NASB95) — 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love

He chose that they would be holy and blameless before Him. In love

It does not state He chose we would be in him or us to be in him.

BTW where did you get on Christ

To everyone who had English in the 6th grade.
You did not make it?

Didn't want to respond to the following?

What the passage does not say, however, is he chose so that those spoken of would be in Christ.

Rather, he chose that those spoken of—those in Christ—would be holy and blameless before him in love.

"Just as He chose us". Who is the us? And who did actually do the choosing? The only choice made in the text. Is there a reason your avoiding my simple questions? Right. The reason He chose us was to be holy and blameless. No one disputes that.

"HE CHOSE US", Who chose us? NOWHERE does the Bible say He chose you because you chose Him which is basically what your saying.

Read it. So it says "even as He chose us". Who is the us and when was the choice made?
The us is those who were in Christ

God chose that they would be holy and blameless before him in love

He did so before the foundation of the earth

The text simply does not state he chose the us to be in Christ.

No, its not "He chose that", its "He chose US". For what you ask? Good question. To be holy and blameless.
Read the verse

Ephesians 1:4 (NASB95) — 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love

that appears in it

He chose that.

The text does not read he chose that we would be in him as you read it.

The us is those who were in Christ

God chose that they would be holy and blameless before him in love

He did so before the foundation of the earth

The text simply does not state he chose the us to be in Christ.
So you were in Christ from the foundation of the world then? I never said He chose us to be in Christ. God knew His elect would be and has always known for a eternity.

I did. It says "He chose us". Why? To be holy and blameless. It does not say He chose that. It spells out why the us were chosen. To be holy and blameless.

No, its not "He chose that", its "He chose US". For what you ask? Good question. To be holy and blameless.
There is no "for what you ask" in the verse

And the us are those in the passage

The us are the

Ephesians 1:12–13 (NASB95) — 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

One is sealed in him by believing not by unconditional election

Those who believe are sealed in him

One is made in Christ by believing in him

They are then made holy and blameless before God in love

So you were in Christ from the foundation of the world then? I never said He chose us to be in Christ. God knew His elect would be and has always known for a eternity.
You are being silly now asking that question

Are you saying God could not know there would be those who would believe in Christ?

but now you say

"I never said He chose us to be in Christ."

That is the Calvinist view are you now rejecting it?

and

"God knew His elect would be and has always known for a eternity."

You would not deny that God could know there would be those who would believe in Jesus?

Ephesians 1:12–13 (NASB95) — 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

and believing in Jesus they would be sealed in him with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Sorry but They did not exist then.
Yes in the mind and purpose of God. Like He knew Jeremiah to exit B4 he actually existed Jer 1:5

5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Really? There is no "for what you ask"? You sure? I will simply repeat myself. He chose "us". Why? To ne holy and blameless. No one says your sealed by unconditional election. Now your running from verse 4?

He chose us not a that. Why? To be holy and blameless. That is ecactly what it says.

He chose us in Him to be holy and blameless. All those things occur in Him.

Really? There is no "for what you ask"? You sure? I will simply repeat myself. He chose "us". Why? To ne holy and blameless. No one says your sealed by unconditional election. Now your running from verse 4?
Textwise no. There is a that to see what God chose

However examine the passage and see how one gets to be in Christ

Ephesians 1:13 (NASB95) — 13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

It is by believing that one is sealed in him and not being unconditionally elected
