What is an "idol"?

One of the resident charlatans @Runningman always insists that I have an idol in Jesus Christ.

If that is true, then I would love for him to show us one single man that is ever witnessed in Scriptures that has ever been referenced as being an idol.

In fact, Jesus dealt with this very thing when he referenced a Psalm of Asaph. A priest.....

Psa 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;

Joh 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
Joh 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Joh 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Joh 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Over and over again... all Unitarians ever do is reveal with they really are.

It is impossible to classify Jesus Christ as an idol. Idols are man's attempt to recreate god. Jesus Christ came forth from above. He came from God.

There is a future anti-Christ. Notice... the word "anti-Christ" that will set and present himself as God

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

So we actually have these evil Unitarians here presenting Jesus Christ as the anti-Christ.

Such people can't sing....

"Oh how I love Jesus".
"Oh how I love Jesus" and say such things as they say. It isn't anything but a show for them.

Scriptures teaches you have an idol.

Worshipping Images as God is idolatry:

Romans 1
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images of mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Jesus is an image:

Colossians 1
15The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Therefore, yes you have an idol. It is pardonable if you repent. I recommend you abandon your idolatry and come to God. Begin with John 17:3 and 1 Corinthians 8:6.

I didn't create Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came from above. I can't make Him an idol.

How can you say I've crafted an idol?

The onus is upon you to show that I have crafted an idol of something God made.

Well, Paul described images as idols. Images of God are not God, i.e., they are idols. Take it up with God at your coming judgement.
