VISIONS

What happened to the northern Kingdom of Judah?
In the year 721 B.C. the Northern Kingdom fell before the vigorous attack of the Assyrian enemy, and its people were taken to a foreign land as captives. Later some escaped and went into the north countries. They are often referred to as the lost ten tribes. (See Enrichment D.)

The Fall of the Northern Kingdom (2 Kings 14–20)

Isaiah 6:3
  • The Seraphim called out to one another: holy, holy, holy is Yah.weh of hosts and his glory fills all the earth!
  • So it is all about Yah.weh!
  • He fills the temple and he fills the earth!
  • Yah.weh is everywhere!
  • It is impossible to miss him!

Jeremiah 1:16

- WHY?
- Because of Yah.weh’s judgments!
- Because of the evil they did!
- Because they abandoned Yah.weh for other gods!

Isaiah 6:4

  • Yah.weh is everywhere but he doesn’t say anything!
  • On the contrary, the Seraphim speak about him!
  • And the sound of their voices is so powerful that doorposts and thresholds shake!
  • And the temple is filled with smoke!
  • A combination of sound and visual effects!
  • A powerful combination!
  • Do you remember Yah.weh speaking to Israel in the desert!
  • It was like thunder!
  • And Israel was scared to such an extent that they wanted Yah.weh to speak with Moses alone!
  • On the contrary, in Jeremiah we get a simple dialogue between Yah.weh and Jeremiah as if it was between two friends!
  • When you speak to Yah.weh, do you speak to him as if he was a friend?
  • Of course, we must show high respect!
  • Do you remember Abraham speaking to Yah.weh?
  • He was called Yah.weh’s friend!
  • But he showed high respect too!

- Yah.weh has allowed us to live on an incomparable gem!

- All we do is make it ugly!

- But that is not enough, man tries to go faster and faster!

- He leaves nothing to chance! - He thus shows his true nature, a destructive one!

- He pollutes everything, in every corner!

- He systematically contaminates everything!

- He tries to recreate an artificial, illusory world, without any meaning, a golden, tasteless prison!

- We lose our abilities to use our senses!

- But what use would they be to us in a world transformed into a dump?

- Our earth and our spirit are garbage dumps!

- Humans even go so far as to transform the Bible into a garbage dump with their human traditions!

- They don't respect anything!

- How do they want Yah.weh to respect them?

- This is why it will apply a major cleaning several times!

- They pretend to understand the word of Yahweh which was written in ancient Hebrew and ancient Greek without taking into account their very different particularities, not only between them but also with modern languages!

- To realize this, it would be enough to measure the difference between ancient Hebrew and modern Hebrew, which represent two completely different worlds!

- Not to mention ancient Greek and modern Greek!

- This seems so ridiculous!

- But hey, since everyone knows everything, in fact nothing, it doesn't change much!

- It is easier to remain in ignorance!

- When we imagine that the disciples lived with Jesus 24 hours a day throughout his ministry and that they understood nothing until his death!

- And he had to start again and again!

- Paul had to go into exile for several years to absorb his conversion before putting himself in marching order and going straight without ever deviating!

- And yet he had spent his time studying the law during his youth and his way of thinking was wrong and Jesus had to straighten it out!

- So what about visions in the Bible!

- They are associated with dreams!

- In both cases, we note extreme precision!

- We see the big difference with our dreams or our visions which are blurry!

- The Book of Jeremiah is presented as a dialogue between Yah.weh and Jeremiah!

- Jeremiah 1:5 says: “Before I formed you ( mould into a, form, as a, potter, determine) in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

- Jeremiah answers in verse 6 that he doesn’t know how to speak because he is only a child!

- Thus Yah.weh chose for Jéremiah!

- He looked for him!

- He doesn’t give him the choice!

- Jeremiah 1:7 says: For to everyone I send you, you must go, and all that I command you, you must speak.

- Here there is a direct connection between Yah.weh and Jeremiah!

- Something very special!

- Something from mouth to ear!

- Then we get Jeremiah 1:9:

Yah.weh reached out his hand / he touched Jeremiah’s mouth / he said to him that he has put His words into his mouth

- Can you think about Jesus curing people, how fast it goes, straight away!

- Can you think about this woman touching Jesus and being cured at the same time?

- Can you think about SIMULTANEITY?

- Then Jeremiah 1:10

I have appointed you today over nations and kingdoms / to uproot (To pull or pluck up, root out) / and tear down, (To pull down, break down) / and overthrow, (To pull down, in pieces, break, & destroy) / to build and plant.

- Yah.weh gives Jeremiah many responsibilities!

- And these responsibilities will bring a lot of unhappiness!

- But the people will be warned again and again!

- As usual!

- Then Yah.weh asks Jeremiah about what he sees!

- When Jeremiah answers him, he tells him he sees correctly!

- In fact, he asks him twice the same question!

- Thus, Yah.weh wants to attract the attention of what is visualized!

- Something specific with a lot of meaning!

- There is no room for doubt!

- A message must be transmitted!

- Everything is well organized!

- In the Book of Isaiah, it is quite different!

- There is no dialogue between Yah.weh and Isaiah!

- There is nothing personal between them!

- Yah.weh tells His message directly to the people!

- The expression used in Isaiah 1:2 is interesting!

Listen, O heavens, and give hear, O earth, speaking to the kings and the people of the time,

- A biblical expression quite usual but not for the majority of people today who take it literally and thus mix everything for nothing!

- In the book of Isaiah, we are told about Israel’s attitude toward Yah.weh!

- They have rebelled against me!

- A sinful nation!

- A people laden with iniquity!

- A brood of evildoers!

- Children of depravity!

- They have forsaken Yah.weh!

- They have despised Him!

- They have turned their backs on Him!

- The country is destroyed!

- If they want to go back to normal, they must go back to Yah.weh!

- Yah.weh’s anger against His people!

- In Ezekiel 1:1, Ezekiel simply says he sees visions of God!

- And in Ezekiel 1:3, Yah.weh’s hand was upon him!

- Then he speaks directly about the vision!

- When we think about the differences between the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, the time they were written is essential!

- With Isaiah, time is left!

- With Jeremiah, time is urging!

- With Ezekiel, everything is written, Ezekiel is in exile in Babylon and Babylon is about to fall!

- In Zechariah 1:3, Yah.weh tells the Hebrews to return to Him and he will return to them!

- Nothing new!

- Same with mankind!

- Till the end, it will be so, even if people don’t care!

- Then Yah.weh won’t anymore!

- Only for those who care!

- Then in the Book of Daniel, it is the exile and the assimilation!

- The Hebrews live in Babylon!

- Some work for the king!

- They behave as if they were Babylonians except that they keep their traditions!

- At least, we are told about four of them!

- Once again in Revelation 1:10, John is the only one who tells us about the Lord’s day!

- and it is solemn as he hears a loud voice like a trumpet!

- In the Book of Jeremiah, Yah.weh asks Jeremiah twice what he sees!

- The branch of an almond tree and a boiling pot!

- Yah.weh wants to attract the attention of the fact that he is going to strike the country!

- And we are told about the kingdoms of the north!

- Thus Yah.weh explains the vision directly!

- Jeremiah 1:15 can’t be more clear!

Their kings will come and set up their thrones at the entrance to Jerusalem’s gates. They will attack all her surrounding walls and all the other cities of Judah.

- It will be a total war against every part of Judah!

- It is no game!

- When Jesus strikes mankind, it will be the same!

- It won’t be any game!

- it’s going to be the worst catastrophe the world has ever faced!

- It is just a repetition!

- The Bible is just a repetition!
