MONDAY NIGHT AT THE FIGHTS
I thought of starting a thread on this under "Gentle Parenting." Anyone ever hear of this?
Anyway, my Labor Day holiday was ruined by a parenting decision by a young couple with 3 kids, ages 1, 3 and 5. The 5 yo was playing with his milk, putting it in his milk, spitting it back in his cup and repeating. The mother was talking to him about it. No yelling by the mother. The kid did not have a temper tantrum.
As I was putting the meat on the grill she took him outside to talk to him without distraction. She asked me to have her husband come out. Moments later he came up to me to say they have to go to deal with the "discipline" problem of the kid. No scolding. Someone told me this is called "Gentle parenting." The mother claimed the issue was that his behavior is disrespectful. I'm not sure how respectful it was to my wife and eye to buy all the food for them for the holiday only for them to leave, ruining the holiday for one and all. Thoughts?

We talked today after church. I invited them to come over next weekend.

Yes I beat you again yesterday my elder brother. It was close. You now have plenty of bluefin tuna in your freezer that should last you for a while. That sashimi yesterday was the bomb, that toro was some of the best I have ever tasted. That quality only comes from the fish that are over 200 pounds. I just updated my profile picture shoring one of the fish that was 250 pounds and the other one at 180 pounds.Heading to the local golf course to walk 18 holes and get some exercise while chasing the little white ball around. I'll see ya this afternoon

HAHA yes I was ahead of you on the front 9 and then you got me on the back 9 lol. And that sushi was incredible. I will be making sashimi and poke bowls tonight for my wife's birthday today.

Personally I'm a German shepherd and Labrador retriever guy. And btw these are considered the 2 smartest and most trainable dog breeds.

At one point, they paused and talked to the audience will sitting on bar stools. Graham explained they met when they were rehearsing for the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Graham recalls Russell sat next to him and he was taken by his voice and immediately thought they should work together.
Russell said in the 48 years since, they have never had a fight of any kind.
When I heard this, I thought there meeting was ordained by God.
