Acts 11:14 (ESV) — 14 he will declare to you a message by which you will be saved, you and all your household.’

Acts 11:14 (NASB 2020) — 14 and he will speak words to you by which you will be saved, you and all your household.’

Acts 11:14 (KJV 1900) — 14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

Acts 11:14 (NIV) — 14 He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’

Acts 11:14 (UASV) — 14 he will speak words to you a message by which you will be saved, you and all your household.’

Shall be saved future passive verb sozo

It is something which had not yet happened

not a past tense informing them they were saved

you are as I stated twisting the text

@Fred
why are you sad? got caught in a title pawn? ..... (smile). just repent, the price has been paid

101G.

If one were to still insist that based on the noble qualities of Cornelius he was already saved before Peter met him and that this event cannot be used to prove salvation took place when he received the Holy Spirit before his water baptism one must also demonstrate that all those with him (relatives and close friends, cf. Acts 10:24) also shared these same noble qualities. That is something they cannot do.

do you know by scriptures what happen to Cornelius before Acts chapter 10? if you do post those scriptures.

101G.

LOL, LOL, LOL, Fred, Fred, was Cornelius already sin free before Peter came to his House? yes or no.

this will end this argument. your answer please.

101G.

No.
This is why Peter said what he did to Cornelius and the other Gentiles with him as seen here:

Acts 10:43
Of Him all the prophets bear witness, that through His Name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive forgiveness of sins.

No.
This is why Peter said what he did to Cornelius and the other Gentiles with him in Acts 10:43.
(smile), well why was the Lord Jesus crucified? Galatians 1:4 "Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:"

1 John 2:2 "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
propitiation? Romans 3:25 "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
what do you believe why God showed Peter the vision? and you said no, was he not sin free. and was he not devout? yes another word for Devout is FREE FROM SIN, meaning PURE. LOOK UP THE WORD CLEANSED AND SEE WHAT IT MEANS.

was he not sin free.
No

and was he not devout?

I already addressed this and you ran away from Acts 10:7 in post 204 and post 205.

LOL, LOL, LOL, so, you contradict God Word, for he was Cleansed from sin, by God. did not God had to visualized it to the apostle Peter? let's see. Acts 10:7 "And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;" Acts 10:8 "And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa." Acts 10:9 "On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:" Acts 10:10 "And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance," Acts 10:11 "And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:" Acts 10:12 "Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air." Acts 10:13 "And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat." Acts 10:14 "But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean." Acts 10:15 "And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common."

G2511 καθαρίζω katharizo (ka-tha-riy'-zō) v.
1. to purify, to make pure.
2. to purge.
{literally or figuratively}
[from G2513]
KJV: (make) clean(-se), purge, purify
Root(s): G2513

pure? another word for PURE is "FREE FROM SIN". when used (of a person) Wholesome and untainted by immorality. one can find it here, https://www.wordhippo.com/what-is/another-word-for/pure.html#C0-3

and as for the devout soldier in a Military capacity. for the term Devout means, 1. having or showing deep religious feeling or commitment. but the second definition is, 2. totally committed to a cause or belief

our brother Cornelius, as a MAN was as definition #1. and #2. clearly states. and his Devout soldier was definitely #2.

so you tried to throw in confusion. (smile), LOL, LOL, LOL, but it want work.

God said he Sin Free, and you contradict the word of God, which is classified as a false prophet/teacher.

so good day to you.

none of which states he was saved

Acts 11:14 (KJV 1900) — 14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.(future tense)

oh yes we have, God salvation is by FAITH, and if you cannot understand this stay in IGNORANCE, good day.

It is something which had not yet happened

not a past tense informing them they were saved

you have not been able to deal with it

this is why IGNORANCE run rampant in congregations. people say that they are believes, but are not.
