Sure there are many baptisms mentioned in the NT, but there is only one that is associated with salvation, and that is water baptism.Your right, there is only one baptism that saves.
But your wrong. there are many baptism in the New testament
He does not say that it is by that baptism that we will be saved.the baptism that saves is the one John the baptist spoke of.. As he said, I indeed baptize with water. but there comes one mightier than I. He will baptize with the HS.
LOL, This baptism, of the Holy Spirit and fire, was received by the 120 on Pentecost and by those Gentiles in Cornelius' house in Acts 10. It has not happened again.Sadly. it also says he will baptize with fire. Lets pray we are not part of this baptism. because this fire will never be quenched
There doesn't need to be water in Rom 6 or Col 2. Those two passages are talking about how we become saved, in the one baptism that saves, and 1 Pet 3:21 says that the baptism that saves us is the truth of which the Flood is the shadow. It is clear that water baptism was taught by Phillip to the Eunuch, because it is the Eunuch who asked for water baptism as they went along. No it does not.
No. there is no water in romans or Colossians.
Do you not understand the difference between being baptized IN something versus being baptized INTO something? Israel was baptized IN the Red Sea, and IN the cloud, but they were baptized INTO Moses in those things.Rom 6: 3 ;Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ (not water) Jesus were baptized into His death (not water)? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death (not water),
Again, we are baptized IN water INTO the body of Christ. We drink of the Spirit when He removes our sin IN (DURING) water baptism.1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body (not water) —whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.
