His glorification of flesh came after he was resurrected.

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Acts 2
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

1- devoted to teaching of the apostles
2- fellowship
3- breaking bread
4-prayer
5- everything in common
6-gave to those in need
7-meeting together daily, not once a week
8-met in their homes, not a church building
9-the ate meals together
10-they were in unity, one accord
11- the Lord blessed their numbers
12- the gospel spread through them adding to their numbers daily

hope this helps !!!
Sounds like church to me

A few of us are considering a home church and we are praying about it. We have been meeting in small groups together for years and we served as elders together in a church 25 years ago.
I've heard of quite a few churches that start out in people's living rooms then they end up renting a building and next thing you know they're a mega church. You should add that to the prayer request. I'll definitely lift it up in prayer.

The idea would not become mega but to train others to start home groups in their neighborhoods. Just like the Acts church who met in homes and the great comission of making disciples who in turn make disciples.

I think the church in acts was unique and new and nearly impossible to replicate today. Churches and people try but it was the Holy Spirit doing miraculous things through the Apostles causing the growth, fellowship , unity etc….. often being duplicated but never replicated today. It can be used as a model but not in the same way we saw God move in the early chapters of acts.

What do you think ?

Notice....

They met daily for teaching.

Not just on Sundays, and maybe a Wednesday.

And, keep in mind... They were all simultaneously baby Christians.

Are we all to remain as baby Christians?

That is a point.

Many when things become tough can become nostalgic for their childhood days. Likewise...
Christians who can not cope with the pressures that must come (to reach maturity) may flip
into a spiritual unreality as a form of escapism which does not please God. Acts 2 is a place many will seek.
Others may become legalistically religious and devout as a form of escapism.

God is seeking for mature Christians. Adults who think like adults with God's Word..
Those who will be having great inner contentment and joy.
Even when in pain like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the furnace.

Too many babies today teaching babies.. that its good to be babies.
Too many simple solutions presented that do not form into national blessings.
No "salt of the earth?" We become trampled underfoot by humanism.

It was the start, beginning of the church so everyone starts out the same a babes in Christ. Growth and maturity happens over time. Some remain stunted in their growth as Paul indicates in Corinth and also as we read in Hebrews.

I know people who are well versed in Scripture who behave immature. So growth is not just knowledge its wisdom too. And without love its all in vain. 1 Cor 13.

hope this helps !!!

Paul was very diplomatic with the Corinthians and Galatians.. He recognized their position in Christ and emphasized it.

But, in the Greek? He also referred to them kindly as "knuckleheads" ... in a nice way. 🤨 ;)
Yes,,,, Paul was sarcastic at times in the Lord... It gets lost in English translation.

Yes, this caused them to seek remission of sins via being baptized in the name of Jesus(immediately).

The Holy Ghost is not given for the remittion of sins, but the name of Jesus being verbalized during immersion in water is.
when i baptize its in the name of the father son holy ghost as Christ taught

You see, the Holy Ghost infilling compells us to be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins.

it is not given to vindicate our beliefs.
so do we follow the words of peter or CHRIST? Matthew 28:19 your taking peter words out of context

Did Peter disobey Jesus here?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,...
