Joel was prophet to the southern kingdom. Joel was speaking on behalf of God TO ISRAEL:Jesus stated that the Holy Spirit will be poured out on all peoples, as In heaven will be saved out from every tribe, tongue, and nation and that includes Gentiles
Yahweh not God of just Jews, but God for all peoples
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel,
And that I am the LORD your God, and none else:
And my people shall never be ashamed.
28 And it shall come to pass afterward,
That I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh;
And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions:
Joel 2:27–28.
Stop reading Hebrew Scripture and making it mean Gentiles. There is NO Gentiles in any of God's covenants.
Stay in context. Joel is referring to ALL HEBREW FLESH.
Stop looking at Scripture like a Gentile. The Old Testament was not written to Gentiles. It is God's Word to His covenant people Israel.
