No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

See if a person fears God, which none do by nature Rom 3:18 and does works of righteousness as Cornelius did, then they have already been accepted of God, saved. So Peter says of Cornelius Acts 10:35

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Cornelius was a saved accepted man before he met Peter
Did you even read the text

Acts 11:13–14 (LEB) — 13 And he reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying, ‘Send to Joppa and summon Simon, who is also called Peter, 14 who will speak words to you by which you will be saved, you and all your household.’

Yes and it is true. Also Cornelius was already a saved man. I gave you evidence of that. The Gospel was sent to Cornelius by God so he can hear the Gospel of his salvation and be persuaded of it.
Sorry, but you ignored this verse.

Cornelius was not yet saved if he had to hear the words by which he would be saved

No I didnt, I concur with that

I agree with it. Cornelius was already saved.
Sorry no

brightfame52, what if you're chosen by God, but your wife and kids are NOT chosen? Are you okay with God sending them to burn in hell for all eternity? What if you're NOT chosen by God, but your wife and kids ARE CHOSEN? Are you okay with God sending them to heaven while you burn in hell for all eternity?

Yes, Cornelius was a saved man that feared God and worked righteousness
You are ignoring the obvious

God is Righteous

Cornelius was already saved and I am in agreement with Peter in the passage you keep quoting. Peter knew Cornelius was saved when he preached the Gospel to him
You fail to address this

Cornelius was already born again or regenerated and the Gospel saved him practically and instructed him in the finished work of Christ and was given comfort and assurance of his Salvation.

Hearing the Gospel can save practically and doctrinally. What does Paul mean to Timothy here ? 1 Tim 4:16

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Hadn't Paul already ordained Timothy in the ministry and knew he was a saved man?

There is simply no evidence Cornelius was born again - regenerated

Were that so, he would have been saved, but it is simply not true.

And anyone who has not been indwelled by the Spirit is not regenerate or born again.
