Matthew 4:4-7
Jesus replied to the Devil/Satan and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Then the Devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:
‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’
and,
‘In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”
Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”
Any doctrine that did not come from the Mouth of God and confirmed in His Word is either:
a.) man attempting to explain something that is not found in or supported by Scripture
b.) from Satan to deceive
c.) from Scripture but TWISTED by Satan that nullifies the Truth and/or turns the Truth into a LIE
pre-trib rapture is a clear example of all three = a,b & c
as is: Christ not being Divine/Elohim
as is: the Resurrection occurred in 70AD
Placing your faith in any one of these (and more) will only result in a false representation of the Holy Scriptures and of yourself as a communicator of Truth
Whereas a genuine love for God and the Body of Christ is always seeking the TRUTH from the Mouth of God.
Where in the following verse does it say why God came to the earth as a man?@Peterlag
Greetings, Peter. You asked: “If God was going to come to the earth as a man. Then there had to be a reason for it. What would that produce? In other words what would that accomplish?”
It would produce salvation. I believe John 3:16 explains the reason why Jesus (God) came to the earth in a flesh body. He came to give those who would believe in Him the opportunity to live eternally (to be saved) and avoid the death sentence that Satan received, which is to perish in the lake of fire (the second death). Jesus came to destroy death, which is the devil.
Hebrews 2:14-15 (NKJV) 14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Here is why God came to the earth as a man: “that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”Where in the following verse does it say why God came to the earth as a man?
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Dear civic:
We know Jesus Christ gives eternal life. That's precisely why we follow Him. Such eternal life is in his words (John 6:63). Such words are the words that the Father asked Him to speak. (John 14:24)
But Jesus does not call himself "The True and Only God". Jesus calls himself "The One You Sent", which is just what He kept saying about Himself over and over. If Jesus were making himself equal to the Father, He would have said instead: "And this is eternal life, that they know us, the Only True God".
Not only God. .

I quoted John 3:16, but here are some more scriptures that answer the question where you ask: “If God was going to come to the earth as a man. Then there had to be a reason for it. Peterlag, consider that if Jesus Christ had not come in a flesh body (man), He could not have died on the Cross for the sins of humanity.
Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV) But He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [He was] bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace [was] upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV) In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
