When I first started reading the Bible, I saw Deuteronomy as such a tedious chore to read. Now I love it. It's like a predictive story of history.
I set before you a blessing or a curse. Here's all you have to do for the blessing. You're not going to do it, so I'm going to curse you.
Then along comes the key: "4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear."
The issue of regeneration goes all the way back to Deuteronomy. Amazing.
