God does not require you to clean up, before He will accept your Faith in Christ to save you.
""""Jesus came to save sinners..""""
"while we were YET Sinners, Christ died for us".
"To Him who worketh NOT.. but believes in GOD who Justifies the = UNGODLY....... = THEIR faith is counted as (Christ's) Righteousness.""
There are a lot of people who are on a "repentance Trip"... lost inside a mental hangup about "repenting"..
Listen reader, its our dirty rotten sinful lives that QUALIFIED US for Salvation.
I would estimate that if the "gay sex addict" is wanting to be saved, to be forgiven, then they are not thinking about anything but their need of Salvation.
How did Jesus address the issue of homosexual practice? First, in Matthew 5:17–20, part of the Sermon on the Mount, He makes clear that He did not come to “abolish the Law or the Prophets … but to fulfill them,” and as we read the rest of Jesus’s teachings here, we see that He takes the sexual morals of the Torah (the Law) to a deeper level. For example:
You have heard that it was said, “You shall not commit adultery.” But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.
—MATTHEW 5:27–30
Jesus took the moral laws of the Torah, which included statutes concerning marriage and sexual immorality, and took them to a deeper level—adultery included lust in the heart; murder included hatred in the heart—rather than doing away with them.
And since homosexual practice was strictly prohibited in the Torah, not just for the people of Israel but for all nations, when Jesus said He was not abolishing the Law or the Prophets but rather fulfilling them, He clearly intended that this prohibition would continue to stand as well. In fact, we could even argue that the prohibition is deepened, just as the prohibitions against adultery and murder were deepened.
Bottom line is you can't be a practicing homosexual. You must repent.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners [malakoi], practicing homosexuals [arsenokoitai], thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Some of you once lived this way. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
