Fellowship With Transgenders

Although no one is flawless, and everyone falls short of God's perfection; I would be
very careful about labeling gender dysphoria as a sin.
Gender dysphoria Is a deception to try an cover up homosexuality. And The Bible is against homosexuality.

Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality,
1 Corinthians 6:9

The most important text regarding homosexuality in the NT is Romans 1:26–27

26 For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one,
27 And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another—men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution.

.

It is my firm personal belief that transgendering is a gray area for Christians.
Whether it really is a gray area for Christians or not makes no difference as the
principles outlined in in 14th of Romans allow an individual's conscience to dictate
their thinking in matters relative to faith, i.e. fully persuaded in their own mind.

Plus, seeing as how I truly believe transgendering is a gray area, then the rules
spelled out in the 14th of Romans forbid me to debate the subject.
_
How convenient. You don't want to be confused by the truth. As Civic said, it's telling God that He made a mistake. Just two or three decades ago, transgenderisim was hardly even mentioned. This just shows the decadence of this secular society.

Nothing in Romans 14 forbids you or anyone from debating the transgender issue. That's just your further deception and rationalization for saying: "I'm firmly set in my opinion, so don't try to convince me otherwise, especially not from the Bible."

You are misusing and misinterpreting Romans 14. I could be fully convinced in my own mind that I can have four wives - but that wouldn't make it okay - it would still be adultery. So it is with transgenderism. It is sin because it is "exchanging the natural function" of one's God-given sex, "for that which is unnatural" - pretending to be the opposite sex. Romans 1:26-27 Verse 26 calls that a "degrading passion". Verse 27 says it leads to a burning lust for the same sex and indecent acts.

In Romans 14, Paul is speaking about deciding to eat meat or to be a vegetarian. Neither choice is a sin and neither are unnatural. But to choose to identify as the opposite sex is both unnatural and a sin.

Olde Tymer, to pretend that this has nothing to so with gays or lesbians is to be totally blind. If I thought that I was a woman, then, as a woman, I would want a romantic relationship with a man. The result would be two men romantically involved and most likely having sexual relations together. That's called homosexuality.

Then there's the pronoun issue. Don't you dare identify a trans with the wrong pronoun. Some have been arrested for speaking the truth and refusing to call a woman "he" or a man "she".

It was said earlier on this thread. Transgenderism is a lie from Satan and to allow someone to live with that deception and sin, without warning them - is not showing the love of God.

Olde Tymer, you are deceived. I hope you are not personally involved in an unnatural relationship. You need to repent of approving of and opening the door to such unnatural sin and deception.

FAQ: Should Christians shun transgenders?

REPLY: Absolutely not!

Transgendering isn't specifically addressed in the Bible, viz: it's a gray area, and as
such ought to be approached in accord with the 14th chapter of Romans which
says, in so many words, that we are not permitted to engage transgenders with
debating nor abuse them with judgmental criticism

Transgendering is a rough road to travel due to embarrassing therapy regimens;
and side effects, complications, negative public opinion, doubts, regrets,
disappointment, and mood swings that many would rather not talk about. So be
especially careful with your dialogue so as not to push them to the point where
you'll be forcing them to maintain their poise with fibs.

A little empathy, and a whole lot of tact and courtesy, can be very useful in helping
someone get thru the day, ergo: don't become a hell for transgenders, instead,
become a haven because people really ought to feel safe with Christians instead of
wary.

Matt 7:12 . . So in everything: do to others what you would have them do to you.
_

We are to love everyone, and seek for their salvation.

However we are not to have fellowship with sinners and sexual immoral people.

We are are to even eat with Christins who are sexually immoral much less those who are unsaved.

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortionernot even to eat with such a person. 1 Corinthians 5:9-11

Thus far my comments have been relative to folks who've undergone a full
transgender process; which typically includes psychiatric counseling, cross-sex
hormones, puberty blockers, and specialized surgery.

I am very tolerant of those people, whereas I am greatly discontented with guys
competing in women's sports whose bodies fail to display even the slightest hint of
femininity, i.e. they are not taking cross-sex hormones, nor have they undergone
any of the appropriate surgeries.

In my judicious estimation: guys insisting they are women while still in possession
of their full and complete natural manhood, are frauds and shameless cheats right
down there in the dirt with the lowest of wolves in sheep's clothing we might name.

I would recommend not only shunning a Christian man who competes in women's
sports solely on the basis of his "identifying" as a woman, but to avoid all
association with that guy-- both in church and out of church --lest his churlish
scruples rub off on us.

1Cor 15:33 . . Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.
_
So you would have us reach out and love trans persons - but avoid all association with a man who competes in women's sports?
Do you not see your own inconsistency? I guess the trans is worth saving, but the guy in women's sports, should be allowed to go to hell.

Adonai commanded after the initial creation to be fruitful and multiply.[/i][/color]

Gen 1:28. . God blessed them and God said to them: Be fruitful and increase

Some interpret that verse to be an edict demanding married couples to have
children; and that they have no business getting married for any other reason.
But the wording is obviously a blessing rather than a requirement.

It's always best to regard blessings as benefits, approval, and/or empowerment
unless clearly indicated otherwise. Some blessings have to be merited (e.g. Deut
28:1-13) but not this one. It was neither requested nor was it earned-- it was freely
given without any strings attached and nothing asked in return.

doesn't show up in the Bible till Gen 15:2

God does not require you to clean up, before He will accept your Faith in Christ to save you.

""""Jesus came to save sinners..""""

"while we were YET Sinners, Christ died for us".

"To Him who worketh NOT.. but believes in GOD who Justifies the = UNGODLY....... = THEIR faith is counted as (Christ's) Righteousness.""

There are a lot of people who are on a "repentance Trip"... lost inside a mental hangup about "repenting"..

Listen reader, its our dirty rotten sinful lives that QUALIFIED US for Salvation.

I would estimate that if the "gay sex addict" is wanting to be saved, to be forgiven, then they are not thinking about anything but their need of Salvation.
Sure He does, it's called repentance. To repent, in relation to salvation, is to change your mind in regard to sin and Jesus Christ.
Repentance involves recognizing that you have thought wrongly in the past and determining to think rightly in the future. The repentant person has “second thoughts” about the mindset he formerly embraced. There is a change of disposition and a new way of thinking about God, about sin, about holiness, and about doing God’s will.

Repentance and faith can be understood as two sides of the same coin. It is impossible to place your faith in Jesus Christ as the Savior without first changing your mind about your sin and about who Jesus is and what He has done. Whether it is repentance from willful rejection or repentance from ignorance or disinterest, it is a change of mind. Biblical repentance, in relation to salvation, is changing your mind from rejection of Christ to faith in Christ.

Repentance is not a work we do to earn salvation.

Yes

Matthew 3:8- Produce fruit in keeping with repentance

Acts 26:20
First to those in Damascus and Jerusalem, then to everyone in the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I declared that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds worthy of their repentance

Romans 2:4
Or do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance?

2 Corinthians 7:10
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Are there any types of sinners / sinful behaviors that should be shunned ?
Yes, there are many.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 Men who love themselves, love money, they are boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, but denying it's power. Avoid such men as these.

1 Cor. 15:33 "Do not be deceived; 'Bad company corrupts good morals'."

Psalm 50:18-19 "When you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and you associate with adulterers. You let your mouth loose in evil and your tongue frames deceit."

Proverbs 20:19 "He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, therefore do no associate with a gossip."

Proverbs 22:24-25 "Do not associate with a man given to anger; or go with a hot-tempered man, or you will learn his ways and find a snare for yourself."

Matthew 7:6 "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."

2 Thessalonians 3:6 "Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who leads an unruly life." Verse 10 " ... if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat either."

2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 "If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he will be put to shame. Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother."

Proverbs 24:21 "My son, fear the Lord and the king; do not associate with those who are given to change, ..."

Proverbs 23:20-21 "Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine or with gluttonous eaters of meat, for the heavy drinker and the glutton will come to poverty, and drowsiness will clothe one with rags."

Matthew 15:12-14 "Then the disciples came and said to Him, 'Do you not know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this statement?' But He answered and said, 'Every plant which My Heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted. Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind.

Proverbs 13:20 "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm."

Proverbs 2:20 "So you will walk in the way of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous."

Psalm 1:1-2 "How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night."

Jesus welcomed sinners and at times ate with them, but He did not "hang out" with them, i.e. in the sense of joining them in their activities on a daily basis. He accepted invitations from sinners for a meal, so that He could reach them spiritually, and He did not let anything keep Him from fulfilling His mission. His constant companions and His closest friends were not sinners but they were those who did the will of His Father who is in heaven. They were His brother, His sister and His mother. Matthew 12:50

Some girls choose to keep their uterus just in case they change their minds about
becoming a mommy. But the thing is: +/- two years of taking cross-sex
medications during puberty can cause a growing girl's uterus to become
permanently atrophied and no more fertile than a plastic throw-away shopping bag.
So even should girls decide to keep their uterus, they are at risk of losing its use for
the rest of their lives if they don't stop taking cross-sex medications in time to save
it.

So you yourself give one more reason here why transgenderism is destructive as well as sinful. It is truly the mutilation of the body that God gave them.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are."

Please confine your remarks to gender dysphoria. This thread wasn't set up to
discuss gays and lesbians.

Thank You.
_
Gender dysphoria inescapably involves gays and lesbians. Its common knowledge that among gay couples, one plays the role of the male and the other plays the role of the female. When my gay niece married her female partner, which I refused to attend, she had a black tuxedo on like a man, and her female partner wore the traditional white wedding dress. Talk about mental confusion. So you could say that my niece has gender dysphoria, acting as if she is a man.

The Bible even refers to this in 1 Corinthians 6:9, where Paul lists sins that will keep unrighteous souls out of the kingdom of God. Paul acknowledges that homosexuality is one such sin. But he also names effeminate as another such sin. That would be the man who, through perverted thinking and desires, pretends to be a woman - like Chris Jenner, for example. Of course the opposite sin would also not make it into the kingdom - where the woman pretends to be a man.

Thank God that He offers hope and forgiveness for ANY AND ALL such persons who REPENT and turn from such perversion, and turn to Him. Yes, as God gives us opportunity, we should share the gospel with them and warn them.

Beware of profiling!

For example it is the personal belief of some that if you're a white man, then you
are automatically a toxic male. Is that true? No, of course not, because not every
white guy is a bad person; in point of fact: quite a few white guys are very decent
folks. You see; profiling fails to take into account an individual's personal characteristics.

In the same vein, not every transgender person is militant, nor are they all political
activists, nor are they all together unified to poison the minds of young children. In
point of fact, many of the transgenders I've reviewed on YouTube are anxious to warn
children about the hazards associated with altering their sex.

Therefore I highly recommend dealing with transgenders on an individual basis, i.e.
one at a time, viz: should you meet with a transgender, resist jumping to
conclusions-- first get to know that person before deciding how best to classify their
thinking because if there is one thing on this earth that everybody despises it's a
prejudiced bigot, and too many Christians I encounter online are exactly that.
_
And I would caution you to not prejudge all Christians who express their opinions - as bigots. A bigot is by definition, "a person who is obstinately and intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices." Webster's dictionary. This could imply an unwillingness to listen to other's opinions, and it could also imply being a racist.

We have listened to your opinions and have expressed ours. I think that most of us here would be more than willing to listen to the opinions of a transgender person, as well as gay or lesbian opinions. But they too must be willing to listen to ours, or they themselves are bigots. I hope that nobody on this forum is racist, but if they are, they are not a Christian.

Actually, in Bereishit (Genesis) 1:28 says "Hashem blessed them and Hashem said to them, "Be fertile
and increase, fill the earth and master it; and rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and all the
living things that creep on the earth"

"השם בירך אותם והשם אמר להם", היו פוריים והיו
הגדל, מלא את הארץ ושלוט בה; ולשלוט בדגי הים, ה
ציפורי השמים, וכל היצורים החיים הזוחלים על הארץ"

Ths verse reveals God's first and foundational commandment to humanity: to be fruitful, multiply, and fill
the earth. Whether Jew of Gentile, the first calling of all humans is to reproduce---to create families,
communities, and nations that thrive under the leadership of God the Creator; obey His commands;
and enjoy His blessings.

Why when God's word says it's a sin?

.

I have yet to figure out why it is that so many Christians are in the habit of
conflating gender dysphoria with gays and lesbians; but I suspect the mistake is
due to a failure on their part to research the condition-- easily done by simply
taking the time to look for it on YouTube.

From what I've learned thus far: gender dysphoric folk are not what I'd call a bad
influence. For the most part they are simply harmless guys and girls who truly
believed they'd be happier as the opposite sex; and actually quite a few do find
satisfaction in that direction; though of course many oftentimes discover that the
dream was better than the reality as there are some rather inconvenient
complications associated with their surgeries.

NOTE: Transgendering isn't specifically addressed in the Bible, viz: it's a gray area,

It is not a gray area. Homosexuality, transgenders and gender dysphoria violates God's order of
creation as outlined in Genesis chapter 1. This isn't rocket science. See Revelation 21:8 and 22:15

Then in Deuteronomy 22:15 "A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a
woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God"

This commandment insists we maintain the distinctness between male and female that was established
by the Creator: "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female
He created them" (Gen 1;27) This law prevents cross-dressing is aimed at preserving gender roles and
avoiding confusion about gender identity.

Eve was the first to taste the forbidden fruit, and when she did; nothing happened.
She went right on unashamed in the buff the same as before, viz: it wasn't till Adam
tasted the fruit that Eve became sensitive about her body's appearance naked.

Now the thing is: Eve was constructed with material taken from Adam's body, but
she was already fully formed and fully sentient prior to his tasting the fruit so it was
too late for Adam's eating to effect Eve by means of heredity.

So: if Eve's feelings about her naked body weren't altered by means of the chemistry
of the fruit, and if they weren't altered by means of heredity; then by what?

Mr. Serpent is the logical source (a.k.a. the Devil & Satan, Rev 20:2) He has the power
of death (Heb 2:14) and the ability to tamper with the human body and the human
mind in ways not easily detected; e.g. Luke 13:16, Mark 5:1-5, and Eph 2:2.

The Serpent was apparently all set and ready to wield his power the moment that
Adam crossed the line and ate that fruit. It amazes me how quickly it takes effect.
Not long after Adam tasted the fruit, he and his wife both immediately set to work
cobbling together some rudimentary aprons to cover their pelvic areas.

FAQ: When does the Serpent go to work on people . . . in the womb or out of the
womb?

REPLY: Adam and his wife demonstrate the Serpent's ability to work on adults, but
I'm guessing he gets to most everyone else in the womb. (Ps 51:5 & Ps 58:3)

FAQ: So you think this Devil of yours has something to do with the current wave
of gender dysphoria?

REPLY: Duh!
_
In my opinion, those verses do not necessarily say that Satan gets to infants in the womb. In fact, I find it hard to believe that God would even allow that. Jesus said "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Then He laid His hands on them - the same hands that brought healing to thousands of people. Matthew 19:14-15

From this verse, we know that children who die young or who are aborted will go directly into His presence. We also understand that there is, apparently, an "age of accountability" where they will no longer automatically go to Him if they die.

Also, Satan can't "go to work" on anybody - unless God gives him permission. Job makes that clear.

In fact, especially if the parents cover their children with prayer, as Job did, the main One "going to work" on them, is the Holy Spirit, not Satan.

In Psalm 51:5, "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.", I tend to go along with the alternative interpretation, that David's mother had him illegitimately. That would explain why David's father and brothers seemed to be so hard on him. In Psalm 27:10, David says: "For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me up." It would also explain why David's father did not present David, along with his brothers, to Samuel - to anoint one of them as king.

The reason is that you have been deceived. Your mistake - not ours - was researching "the condition" on YouTube, rather than researching God's word on "the condition". Many of us HAVE researched the Word, and it is plain to see that it is unnatural and sin. And it is VERY CLOSELY ASSOCIATED with homosexuality and lesbianism. You have to be blind to not see the connection. Several of us have clearly explained that to you and given you several verses to confirm this, but it seems as though you are ignoring what we say, apparently blinded by what you heard on YouTube or other secular sources.

Wow, you misunderstand this too. When God tells you to do something like "Be fruitful and multiply ...", that's a command. Sure, it's a blessing to have kids, but it's also a command. When you deny the truth of other scriptures directly relating to transgenderism, it's easy to see why you deny this truth as well. And once again, having children is DIRECTLY related to transgenderism. If a father or mother decides that they are really the opposite sex, the confusion that puts on their children is devastating, especially when they are young and innocent - not to mention the immense harm it does to the spouse.

Jewish tradition regards God's charge to Adam and Eve, "Be fruitful and multiply," as the first
of the Torah's 613 commandments. While the injunction, when read in context, sounds more
like a blessing than a command, Jewish tradition understands the verse as mandating marriage
and procreation. A chapter later, Genesis 2:24 proclaims: "Therefore shall a man leave his father
and mother and cling to his wife, so that they become one flesh."

Although God's words seem to be directed toward both Adam and Eve, Jewish law rules that the
obligation to procreate devolves only upon the man. Meshech Hokhma, a biblical commentary
by Rabbi Meir Simcha of Dvinsk (1843-1926), explains: "The Torah freed the woman from the religious
obligation to "be fruitful and multiply" because the woman endangers her life in pregnancy and
childbirth and hence cannot be obligated to have children. But for the sake of the preservation
of the species God so formed woman's nature that her yearning to have children is stronger than
the man's" (commentary on Genesis 9:1)

The freeing of women from the obligation to procreate implies that, according to rabbinic law, only
they can ever practice birth control. Thus, although most Orthodox rabbis severely restrict the right
to practice birth control, in those instances where they permit it, only the woman is allowed to
practice contraception. Non-Orthodox rabbis generally leave decisions concerning birth control to
the couple's discretion.

Although males are considered responsible for observing Jewish law starting at the age of thirteen
(Bar Mitzvah), the talmudic Rabbi's ruled that the obligation to procreate (restricted to people who
are married) becomes mandatory only at age eighteen.

The Bible itself never addresses the question of how many children one is required to have to fulfill
this commandment. The Talmud's prevailing view, as articulated by Rabbi Hillel, is two, one child of
each sex, in other words a couple are obligated to replace themselves (Mishnah Yevamot 6:6).

The biblical view might be more lenient than Hillel's, since it seems to acknowledge that two children,
even though of the same sex, fulfill the divine injunction. Thus Isaac has two sons (Jacob and Esau)
but no daughters, and there is no indication that he is deficient for this reason. Likewise, Moses has
two children, both sons.
