Are there any types of sinners / sinful behaviors that should be shunned ?
Yes, there are many.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 Men who love themselves, love money, they are boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, but denying it's power.
Avoid such men as these.
1 Cor. 15:33 "Do not be deceived; 'Bad company corrupts good morals'."
Psalm 50:18-19 "When you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and you associate with adulterers. You let your mouth loose in evil and your tongue frames deceit."
Proverbs 20:19 "He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, therefore do no associate with a gossip."
Proverbs 22:24-25 "Do not associate with a man given to anger; or go with a hot-tempered man, or you will learn his ways and find a snare for yourself."
Matthew 7:6 "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."
2 Thessalonians 3:6 "Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who leads an unruly life." Verse 10 " ... if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat either."
2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 "If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he will be put to shame. Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother."
Proverbs 24:21 "My son, fear the Lord and the king; do not associate with those who are given to change, ..."
Proverbs 23:20-21 "Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine or with gluttonous eaters of meat, for the heavy drinker and the glutton will come to poverty, and drowsiness will clothe one with rags."
Matthew 15:12-14 "Then the disciples came and said to Him, 'Do you not know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this statement?' But He answered and said, 'Every plant which My Heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted.
Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind.
Proverbs 13:20 "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm."
Proverbs 2:20 "So you will walk in the way of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous."
Psalm 1:1-2 "How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night."
Jesus welcomed sinners and at times ate with them, but He did not "hang out" with them, i.e. in the sense of joining them in their activities on a daily basis. He accepted invitations from sinners for a meal, so that He could reach them spiritually, and He did not let anything keep Him from fulfilling His mission. His constant companions and His closest friends were not sinners but they were those who did the will of His Father who is in heaven. They were His brother, His sister and His mother. Matthew 12:50
