The Law is understood by Jesus and the Apostles as every single OT command given to God from the garden to Mal.

Modernists have parted it out like an old car at the junkyard.

They sell parts and melt down what they want.

They categorized it into 3 sections of parts but resell the moral parts and melt down the judicial and ceremonial parts.

But, since homosexuality and adultery cannot be the death penalty and are moral Laws, they melt those down as impossible to enforce along with half of the other moral Law parts.

The end result is a rat rod religion...LOL.

I kind of agree.

We are seen that the Law stands or falls as a single entity here:

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. (Jas. 2:10 NKJ)
And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. (Gal. 5:3 NKJ)
"For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. (Matt. 5:18 NKJ)

Paul does tell us "the Law is spiritual."

That means the Law is not just external commands to do, there is something spiritual about it, it commands invisible attitudes and does something to us.

Paul also tells us "the Law had a shadow of the good things to come."

Which means there was symbolic elements in the Law as well.

Excellent post.

The Law is all or nothing.

We are to keep this now....

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Paul said he was carnal. The spiritual nature of the law he reference had a spiritual aspect of death. More than just the judgment of our flesh. Also, such shadows only make you want it look at the light. It peaks your desires to know what you can't see from the shadow.

I disagree the law of sin and death is a reference the judgment of mankind. It is distinct from the law of Moses and judges every man. The law of Moses was never given to me nor has it ever bound me to sin.
Nope....

9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

The Law of Sin and Death is the principle of Original Sin.

It is different than the Law of God which in practice activates the Law of Sin in us because we have been sold to sin.

So... the Law of God activates the Law of Sin.

Contextually, the Law of sin and death is the OT Law.

It taught Paul what sin is and sentenced him to death.

Everyone else too....

19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Same book or Romans.

I agree mostly with this. However, it is the natural law of the consequence that condemns me. I'm lawless. Only bound by the silly laws of my ancestors who knew not God..

There is a blending of the various laws mentioned by Paul in the statement. You really need to proper deal with the entire discourse. Not just pick a few verses and claim victory. It is very clearly found in the Book of Romans where Paul stated "the Gentiles that have not the law"...read Romans 2:14 again. Read it more than once.

Paul spoke of himself. I never was given the law of Moses. Prove I'm under the law of Moses.

How did you figure out what sin is?

No, not Laws, but Law.

Modernists have changed "God's Law" into "Laws".

They do this to teach "partial Law".

A convenient way to keep some and discard the tough stuff.

It is why folks now fight over the Law now.

It was no fight in the first century.

They knew it was all or nothing.

The law of sin and death settles our damnation apart from Christ. He died for us.

I know what sin through the Spirit of God. Not the law of Moses. I was never given the law of Moses. Again..prove I was.

Have you killed your children because they cursed you?

Was the old testament law your schoolmaster to bring you to Christ, or was the law of the Spirit the schoolmaster to bring you to Christ?
Are you no longer under the OT schoolmaster? Or is the schoolmaster the Spirit you are no longer under?

Did you read where Paul said that Gentiles have not the law?
You never labored under the training of the schoolmaster. Don't pretend you did. Now that we have Christ, there is no place for the schoolmaster. The schoolmaster is gone. Christ alone remains.

So you really believe the schoolmaster still brings men to Christ?. The Gospel is the good news. The schoolmaster controlled Israel until Christ came.

You're not proving I was given the law of Moses. Try again.

I was under condemnation for failing to keep the Law, thus I was delivered from the Law by obeying Acts 2:38.

Every human being is born under the same Law and stuck in the same circumstance.

Nobody escapes it....

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

...including you, right?

Let's look at if the gentiles have the Law again...

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the (WRITTEN)law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;

19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin....

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Via context, the gentiles were under the Law but did not possess the written Law on parchment. The Jews held the written Law for all the world.

The Law is written on the hearts of all humans.
