The Mosaic Covenant is eternal (Exodus 33:14-17, Leviticus 24:8), so its terms are included in the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10). In Galatians 3:16-19, a newer covenant does not nullify the promises of a covenant that has already been ratified, so it does not nullify our need to obey God's law in connection with the promise.

Moreover, a day that is holy is set apart and in order for something to be set apart there needs to be something else that it is set apart from, so to treat every day the same is to treat none of them as holy. In theory, God could have commanded to keep every day holy if that wasn't contradictory, but in His wisdom He commanded to keep the 7th day holy, so we should not think that we know better than God. If we did on every day what God wants us to do on the Sabbath, then we would do no work, but God also wants us to work.

In 1 John 2:6, those who are in Christ are obligated to walk in the same way he walked, so walking in obedience to His law is the find way to rest in Christ. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus invited people to come to him and to learn from him, not inviting people to reject his example of walking in obedience to God's law. By saying that we would find rest for our souls, he was referencing Jeremiah 6:16-19, where God's law is described as the good way where we will find rest for our souls.

In Hebrews 3:18-19, they did not enter into God's rest because of their disobedience/unbelief, and in Ezekiel 20:13, it specifically mentions that they greatly profaned God's Sabbaths. In Hebrews 4:9-11, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, we should rest from our work as God rest from his, and we should strive to enter into that rest so that no one may fall away by the same sort of disobedience, so entering into God's rest should not be used to justify the same sort of disobedience. Christ lived in obedience to God's law, including keeping the 7th day holy, so that is the way that we live when he is living in us.

The Colossians were keeping God's holy days in obedience to God's commands in accordance with the example that Christ set for us follow and Paul was encouraging them not to let anyone judge them for doing that, so it is ironic when people try to use that verse to justify their refusal to obey God.

In 1 Peter 1:16, it instructs to be holy as God is holy, which is a quote from Leviticus where God was giving instructions for how to do that, which includes refraining from eating unclean animals (Leviticus 11:44-45) and keeping God's Sabbaths holy (Leviticus 19:2-3)

The way to live in righteousness and holiness all of the days of our live involves following God's instructions for how to do that, which includes the command to keep the 7th day holy.

In Romans 14:1, the topic of the chapter in regard to how to handle disputable matters of opinion, not in regard to whether followers of God should follow God, so nothing in the chapter should be interpreted as teaching that it is ok to rebel against God. Human opinion must yield where God has given a command, so we are free to have our own opinions only where God has given no command. For example, in Romans 14:2-3, they were judging and resenting each other over whether they chose to eat only vegetables even though God gave no command to do that.

In Romans 14:5-6, Paul spoke about those who ate or refrained from eating unto the Lord, so he was speaking about those who esteemed certain days for fasting as a disputable matter of opinion. For example, some people chose to fast twice as week and were judging those who did not even though God gave no command to do that (Luke 18:12). Paul was not suggesting that we are free to commit murder, adultery, idolatry, theft, break the Sabbath, or rebel against any of God's other commands just as long as we are convinced in our own minds that it is ok to do, but rather that was only said in regard to things that are disputable matters of opinion in which God has given no command. The reason why we are to keep the Sabbath holy is not because man esteemed it as a disputable matter of opinion, but because God rested on it after creating the world in six days, He blessed it, He made it holy, He commanded His people to keep it holy, and because what is holy to God should not be profaned by man.

Yes. Still, the context is in regard to things that are disputable matters of opinion for which God has given no command, so he was not speaking about what God has commanded. Even if Paul had been speaking against obeying what God has commanded, then then bottom line is that we should obey God rather than man, so we should be quicker to disregard everything that he has said than to disregard anything that God has commanded, though the reality is that Paul was a servant of God who never spoke against anyone obeying anything that God has commanded.

That post reeks of desperation. And it abjectly fails to answer the question... Where is the evidence in scripture that God replaced the observation of the literal 7th day Sabbath by keeping it holy, with either Sunday or a permanent rest? Certainly, the rest we have in Christ is a blessing and bring great peace to the heart, but that augments the observance of the Sabbath, it doesn't replace it. At least not in scripture anyway.
This is an important question. So important, because it deals with a commandment of God and has ramifications for ultimate acceptance of or submission to authority. If you don't have evidence that God has replaced the 4th Commandment, whose authority are you surrendering to? Seriously. You need to be honest here. You are all trying very hard to justify the ignoring of the 4th Commandment, but surely you can see that all your attempts are based on human reasoning? For example.
Luke 1:74,75. I'll put this as simply as I possibly can. You claim to be holy and righteous every day. Does being holy and righteous include obedience do you think to God's Commandments? Was Israel being holy and righteous when they abandoned the Sabbath and were taken into captivity in Babylon as a result?
"If ye love Me, keep My commandments".

in the PRIESTHOOD of Melchisedec. Hebrews 1:3 "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" ONE MORE, Hebrews 10:12 "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;"

once again, a priest who sits is at REST, "NO WORK" ..... now how long is this rest/Sitting? Psalms 110:4 "The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek." how long is "FOR EVER?" every day.
and if one is in CHRIST JESUS then one is at "REST".

this is just too easy, basic bible study.

I have found that to be a common practise among those opposed to God's laws, particularly the Sabbath. For example, they will quote
KJV Mark 2:27-28
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

in order to justify ignoring the Sabbath, but for the life of me I cannot see it in any other way than supporting obedience. I think in some cases people were scripture hoping it will Bamboozle you into submission. Can't argue with scripture... it's scripture.

If someone reads a verse and thinks that it is speaking against obeying what God has commanded, then they should be quicker to think that they must have misunderstood it than to think that it makes perfect sense to interpret servants of God as speaking against obeying what God has commanded.
