What is the Purpose of Redemption?

Subject Heading:- What is the Purpose of Redemption?

'But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested,
being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ
unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood,
to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past,
through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness:
that He might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.'

(Rom 3:21-26)

Praise God!

Arial, you banned me from Christ Centered Apologetics Ministry because I posted that Jesus called Gentile's "dogs" and you did that because you acted like a Karen offended. You didn't even let me post my proof by posting the Scripture which proved me right. Well, here is my proof:

26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Mt 15:26.

27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
Mk 7:27.

You violated the rules when you banned me. You were wrong.
You owe me an apology.
Actually. it's "little puppies" in the Greek text.

'For dogs have compassed Me:
the assembly of the wicked have inclosed Me:
they pierced My hands and My feet.'

(Psa 22:16)

@jeremiah1five,

* Figure of speech Hypocatastasis. "Enemies" being implied (not expressed) in Psa. 22:16 (above).

* Matthew 15:26/Mark 7:27:- G2932 - 'Puppies, or little household dogs; this is true only of such. Dogs are not cared for (in the East) when grown. The Lord used the Figure of speech, Hypocatastasis, implying that she was only a Gentile, and thus had still no claim even on that ground. Gentiles were known as "dogs" by the Jews, and despised as such (Mat_7:6; 1Sa_17:43. 2Sa_3:8; 2Sa_9:8. 2Ki_8:13. Php_1:3, Php_1:2).'

* Not intended to be offensive.

This woman may well have been a mixed heritage Hebrew. She knew who Jesus was in calling him, "Son of David" implying she knew some things of the Hebrew Scripture - like the Roman centurion who love that nation (Israel) - and since she was still seed of Abraham was heir according to the promise, part of the "other" flock Jesus said He needed to "bring in" and "graft" these wilds into the Olive tree.

Matt. 15:22-28

Hello @jeremiah1five,

I have read that the use of the title 'Son of David' by one of the children of Israel to their King, (when making a request or plea), placed upon the King the obligation to respond and meet the need expressed. Spoken, as in the case of the Canaanite woman, by someone of another nation, it imposed no such obligation, for she had no right to it's use as a Gentile. It was when she tried again using the word, 'Lord' (Kurios) ('Lord, help me'), and prostrated herself before Him as the word translated 'worshipped'(proscuneo) implies, showing by this and her further response, the faith she had in Him, that He responded, not from obligation, or even necessarily compassion, but in recognition of her faith in Him. Then Jesus answered and said unto her,' O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.' And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

There is no warrant to believe that the Canaanite was anything other than what is written of her. She would have heard others around her using the term, 'Son of David', and used it too, perhaps, without realising it's significance to a Hebrew: but she had obviously heard Him herself, or of Him, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The one thing we do know is, that our Lord only did and said that which His Father did and said, so these words and actions of His were divinely wrought.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

well a lil puppy is still a dog .
The key thing we should take from this example is
LOOK at the wonderful humble spirit that woman had .
YES LORD but even us little dogs eat ..........
HUMBLE PIE , lets all take a big ol fat bite of that . FOR GOD resists the proud .
Many look to their own intellect and much learning as though they the big wise thing .
May i suggest a whole other approach . WE AINT SQUAT DIDLY the doo
in fact the only truth i know , ITS A GIFT FROM HE WHO IS THE TRUTH . ME is but a wee little flea
BUT GOD , MAN HE BE THE ALL IN ALL . lets EAT SOME HUMILITY my friend and my friends . take a big bite
on REALITY , ON TRUTH and let us realize , WE Just aint the wise things we might think we is
and rather lets just spend our time THANKING GOD for HIS MERCY , FOR HIS GRACE
for HIS EVEN allowing and letting us know what truth we even do know . YET folks think I AM THE PROUD ONE .
YE can learn a lot from a little dumb wee thing who has been humbled by GOD . never forget , however
to always test ALL things that ALL MEN do say . GOD aint looking for wise scholars
HE looking for humble hearts ready to learn and to SERVE HIM and not ourselves .

I have put off the old man and have put on the new man, which is renewed in the knowledge after the image of Him Who created me (Colossians 3:9,10).

I have given, and it is given to me; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, men give into my bosom (Luke 6:38).

I am part of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people (1 Peter 2:9).

I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21).

I am the temple of the Holy Spirit; I am not my own (1 Corinthians 6:19).

I press on toward the goal to win the prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward (Philippians 3:14).

For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

It is not I who live, but Christ lives in me (Galatians 2:20).

Matt.

Chris
She wasn't Gentile. She was a mixed heritage Hebrew and possibly the offspring of one of the two southern kingdom tribes and a Gentiles. A lot of that happened after God scattered and exiled His people among Gentiles, specifically, Babylon. So, having ties to Judaism and the Law as well as the Hebrew Scripture she recognized who Jesus of Nazareth was. And "kurios" merely meant "sir." She also worshiped Him. Jesus accepted no Gentile worship, and He was never in a situation in which a Gentile did so. Non-Hebrew Gentiles had nothing coming to them of God, the Law, or Jesus. Thus, proof that Jesus healed her proves she would have been seed of Abraham an heir according to the Promise, for if she were truly a non-Hebrew and Jesus gave her the blessing of Abraham then Jesus would have violated the Law which is covenant between God and the children of Israel.

Jesus appealed to Jews, not non-Hebrew Gentiles. Gentiles were the enemy of Jews. And no Gentile would know anything of the covenants to approach Jesus as this woman did for no Jew would seek to circumcise a Gentile male nor to command their obedience to the Law. It just never happened for all Jews knew their covenants are their covenants and neither covenant included uncircumcised, non-Hebrew Gentiles.

God desires life and rather the wicked repent . THUS HE DONT SUPPORT SATANS ANTI CHRIST INTERFAITH .
The "wicked" Christ called to repent were Jews. Neither the high priest nor the High Priest (Jesus) didn't offer any sacrifices to atone for the sins of Gentiles. There is no Scripture that either had done so for that would be a violation of the Law and sin.
Jesus didn't sin. His sacrifice was to and for the children of Israel.

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal. 4:4–5.

Saul, as rabbi and Pharisee, was held in high esteem by the Sanhedrin and the Jews and Jewish Christians. If he did anything contrary to the Law, he would have sinned and caused an uproar among the people. But Saul was obedient to the Law especially in his ministry to Jews living in and among Gentiles in Gentile lands (Rome, Ephesus, Corinth, Philippi, etc.)

24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
Acts 21:24.

Purifying and shaving the head are Nazarene vows. Saul did say he was separated to God at birth. If Saul sought to circumcise a Gentile of command a Gentile to obey the Law there would have been a problem for the Law does not include Gentiles.

Greek (Hellenized), not Gentile. There's a difference. Especially since it was God who scattered His people among Gentiles. There were sure to be Jew-Gentile births, especially when you consider 25-30 generations since the Assyrian conquest. And when only a remnant returned with Nehemiah that left 90% of Jews alive remaining in Gentile lands.

The Law of Moses is a covenant between God and the children of Israel. The ministry of the high priest was to pray for the children of Israel and to offer sacrifices for the children of Israel. Jesus, as High Priest, fulfilled the Law and neither did He sacrifice Himself for Gentiles. He sacrificed Himself under the Law for Jews, the children of Israel. That's why He never claimed to be offered for Gentiles nor did He seek to bring Gentiles under the Law for that would have violated the Law, and He would have failed God. But as High Priest He did everything according to the Law. And the Law did not include Gentiles.

As for being born-again. Such an experience requires the Holy Spirit of Promise who was promised to Israel. There is no Scripture that says the Holy Spirit was promised to Gentiles nor did the Holy Spirit save Gentiles. So, to hold the theology that God saves Gentiles cannot be found in Scripture for God made no covenant with Gentiles. They got nothing coming to them of God.
Nothing.

17 All nations before him are as nothing;
And they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
Isaiah 40:17.

There are no Gentiles in any of the three Hebrew covenants.

This is the limitation of the Abraham Covenant:

7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
Gen. 17:7.

The limitation of the Mosaic Covenant:

5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Ex 19:5–6.

The limitation of the New Covenant:

31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD,
That I will make a new covenant
With the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer. 31:31.

None of these covenants include Gentiles. ANYONE who is a Hebrew, even mixed heritage Hebrews, are still seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promise.

God never included Gentiles and every Jew knows this. No Jews would ever seek to circumcise a Gentile nor to command a Gentile to obey the Law. It couldn't be done for all the requirements included the children of Israel ONLY.

You're holding to false teaching about Israel's Messiah and WHO He came to redeem.

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal. 4:4–5.

Saul as rabbi and Pharisee would know the covenants did not include Gentiles. Nor did Saul seek to circumcise Gentiles nor command Gentiles obey the Law of Moses as He was known far and wide to have done. He was an obedient Jew who obeyed the Law, and the Law included no Gentiles.

24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
Acts 21:24.

Keeping the Law meant NO GENTILES.

When did Jesus Christ agree to become the Surety/Redeemer of the Elect ? Consider that scripture says He was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world Rev 13:8

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Set forth before the world began as the coming redeemer 1 Pet 1:18-20

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

God gave the Ark of the Covenant to the Hebrew people. It contained the Mercy Seat, which, according to Covenant was the method/vehicle of God redeeming a sinful people who are identified as the Hebrew people since it applies to them only. When the army of Israel went to war with the Ark going before them, they were invincible. None of this applied to Gentiles. The Hebrews were fighting Gentiles. They were not fighting 'kin.' If God loves everyone including Gentiles, why does God direct Joshua to utterly destroy a people God loves living in the Promised Land? Wouldn't God's love be better expressed to involve commanding the Gentiles living on the Promised Land to leave the territory so that the Hebrews possess it? And what land did God promise Gentiles? And if God wanted to redeem Gentiles wouldn't He also provide them some sort of promises of land and blessings towards their offspring as recorded in the Old Testament/Hebrew Scripture which He does for the Hebrew seed of Abraham? If there is a covenant between God and Gentiles for their redemption in the likeness of His covenant with the Hebrew seed of Abraham, where is this covenant recorded and with what Gentile is it promised to? Who are their prophets and where is their Scripture record of their relational history with God as is done explicated with the Hebrew seed of Abraham? Who are their high priests, and what is their ark called or described?
