What is Evolution ?

AMEN !!!!
Then what would you have thought of the apostles?

Acts 4:13

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”

Have you ever wondered why they thought they were unlearned and ignorant men? I'm sure they did not pronounce their words as distinct as they did and use words improperly in their speech.

1 Corinthians 1:26-28

“For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:”

Where do you fit into these scriptures? I'm all of verses 26-28!

@civic, @TibiasDad,
let's do what the Lord God say do, "Let's reason together". this is what these forums are for, Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

REASON: 1. the power of comprehending, inferring, or thinking especially in orderly rational ways : intelligence. 2. proper exercise of the mind.

101G is sure we all have this capacity with the Holy Spirit wisdom leading the way.

ERROR, Genesis 1:20 "And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven." Genesis 1:21 "And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:22 "And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth." Genesis 1:23 "And the evening and the morning were the fifth day."

man day 3 see Genesis 2:4-7

the bible do not agree with you.

That’s what I said… “birds day 5, mankind day six.” I said “No,” to Adam being there on day 5. Thus, birds day five, mankind day six.

Greetings Doug, I must respectfully disagree with you for this is not true~In my almost eighty years. I have seen some very smart folks with no education. and maybe could not spell very good, yet they had great common sense and could use logic with the best of them, thinking of my grandfather, etc. Again Doug consider the apostles of our Lord Jesus, they were fishermen, common folks, Paul was an exception to the rule, but exceptions only proves the rules stands! Christ had zero education as far as this world goes, yet, without question the smartest man that ever lived, for never a man spake as he did!, which you know well.

Doug, I know a man personally that can not spell very good or read that good, yet he has made millions, and probably one of the richest men in our area with a net worth up in the millions, and I mean up. He even mentioned to me once if my wife would consider helping him to read and spell better, which I told him she would be happy to do so as a friend, This man is very gifted he just fell through the cracks of our school system that did not measure intelligence the right way~he can do almost anything he puts his mind to, great common sense and logic, I know, I have known him since he was a teenager, he is now just over fifty years old. A net worth over 100 millions I'm sure. He lived next door to me for many years until I sold and down sized three years ago.

Agree, but, 2 Corinthians 11:5 "For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles." 2 Corinthians 11:6 "But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things."

Romans 12:3 "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."

this is 101G's point, man was here before day 5 when the winged fowl was made, once more. Genesis 2:18 "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Genesis 2:19 "And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof." Genesis 2:20 "And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him."

Now, if Adam was Created on day 6, (as you say), why have Adam "alone", on day 6 and the make the, "fowl of the air", out of the ground, (on day 5?). and then bring them to him, that makes no sense at all.

the truth of the matter is this. Adam was created on day 3 and was made "male and female" on day 6.

The devil at work in the details all over again questioning what God hath said.

Just the same way as Eve was deceived
Matthew 7:13 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:"

To All,
if Eve was deceived *by not knowing then the devil is a creature of truth.

Red Baker,

I appreciate your sentiment, and I agree. My father-in-law had an eighth grade education, but could dig a hole beneath an existing house, raise it up and load it on a truck and move it to another location. He could also just barely read and do math.

He was smarter and wiser than me by far. But excellence is not achieved by sloppiness. I try to be patient, knowing that English is not everyone’s first language. But you can generally tell when writing is errant by ignorance and not laziness. I’ll admit, I have a low threshold for lazy writing.
If you have something to say, say it well!

I would, as an aside, suggest that inerrancy of scripture includes spelling and punctuation and grammar. It is part of the “high calling of Christ” too!

Okay, one more time.

Adam was alone, meaning he was the only one of his “kind”, his species! Not that there weren’t other things and creatures in existence. He had no means of reproducing his species. That’s why it wasn’t good for him to be the only member of his species.

GINOLJC,
and with your education you cannot tell the difference from CREATED and MADE? just a simple question, was man "CREATED" on day six, or was "MADE" male and female on day 6. this no put down, but simple "REASONING". 101G ask you to closely examine Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

examine those verses and tell us what was "CREATED" on day 6

101G say MAN was "CREATED" male and female.
