No its right Rom 8:8Wrong
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
You think the unregenerate in the flesh can please God in direct opposition to the truth.
No its right Rom 8:8Wrong
Impossible because of Rom 8:8Again
Scripture clearly shows One must believe to be regenerated
Because mommy and daddy sinned or because YOUR Heavenly Father made you that way on purpose? We are born sinners by nature.
Its appalling to condemn innocent children- Even the calvinst Gill agree's from Jer 2:34- they are INNOCENT not guilty of sin,Because mommy and daddy sinned or because YOUR Heavenly Father made you that way on purpose?
I am going to post @TomL's reply to you so I can highlight things that YOU NEVER COMMENT ON And I want you to comment on each highlighted scripture and explain it.One cannot believe until they are regenerated because before that they are solely in the flesh and can't please God
Everything is after faith or belief...... Not after regeneration.Wrong
One must believe to be regenerated
John 7:38–39 (NASB 95) — 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ” 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Ephesians 1:13 (NASB 95) — 13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 3:16–17 (NASB 95) — 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Galatians 3:2 (NASB 95) — 2 This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
Galatians 3:5 (NASB 95) — 5 So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
Galatians 3:14 (NASB 95) — 14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Acts 11:15–17 (NASB 95) — 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning. 16 And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 Therefore if God gave to them the same gift as He gave to us also after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God’s way?”
Acts 15:7–8 (NASB 95) — 7 After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8 And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;
Believe to be made a child of God
John 1:12 (NASB 95) — 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
be Born again through faith in the word of God.
1 Pet 1:23 for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
1 John 5:4–5For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
belief is after regeneration because prior to that man is in the flesh and scripture is clear here Rom 8:8I am going to post @TomL's reply to you so I can highlight things that YOU NEVER COMMENT ON And I want you to comment on each highlighted scripture and explain it.
Everything is after faith or belief...... Not after regeneration.
Admittedly I did not read each of your scriptures so I might be repeating but there is one thing that this double predestination garbage never addresses.... Since they cannot actually say how or when things moved in their lives because they can have no memory of the Holy Spirit indwelling or truly feeloing born again because they simply accept it.....Its appalling to condemn innocent children- Even the calvinst Gill agree's from Jer 2:34- they are INNOCENT not guilty of sin,
Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible
Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents,.... Either of the innocent infants of poor persons, who were sacrificed to Moloch; or of the poor prophets of the Lord, whom they slew,
and here from Jeremiah
Jeremiah 19:2 and go out to the Valley of the Son of Hinnom at the entry of the Potsherd Gate, and proclaim there the words that I tell you…4 Because the people have forsaken me and have profaned this place by making offerings in it to other gods whom neither they nor their fathers nor the kings of Judah have known; and because they have filled this place with THE BLOOD OF INNOCENTS…6 therefore, behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when this place shall no more be called Topheth, or the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.
God judged them by having the Babylonians doing to them what they did to their children. The Jews Slaughtering their innocent children and God had them slaughtered by the Babylonians.
Psalm 106:34 They (the Israelites) did not destroy the peoples (the Canaanites), as the Lord commanded them, 35 but they mixed with the nations and learned to do as they did. 36 They served their idols, which became a snare to them. 37 They SACRIFICED THEIR SONS AND THEIR DAUGHTERS TO THE DEMONS; 38 they poured out INNOCENT BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THEIR SONS AND DAUGHTERS, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.
conclusion: how many time does God/Jesus have to say children are INNOCENT not guilty before you will believe ?
Jesus affirms the above in the N.T. Woe to those who cause any little ones to stumble.
And more scripture from Jesus
Matthew 18:2-5
And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven
Matthew 18:10
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 18:14
So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish.
Matthew 19:13-14
Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
Mark 9:36-37
Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them, “Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me.”
Mark 10:13-16
And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.
Luke 9:47-48
But Jesus, knowing what they were thinking in their heart, took a child and stood him by His side, and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great.”
Luke 18:15-17
And they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them. But Jesus called for them, saying, “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”
conclusion :There is no transmission of a fallen nature, a sin nature that originated with augustine. Lets see what God declares about sin.
Ezekiel 18:4
For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child—both alike belong to me. The one who sins is the one who will die
Ezekiel 18:20
“The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son.”
Deuteronomy 24:16
Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.
2 Kings 14:6
Yet he did not put the sons of the murderers to death, but acted according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, where the LORD commanded: "Fathers must not be put to death for their children, and children must not be put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin."
Jeremiah 31:30
Instead, each will die for his own iniquity. If anyone eats the sour grapes, his own teeth will be set on edge.
And we have the wisdom of Job below who knew had he died as a child he would be at peace with the Lord as an innocent and not condemned in hell as guilty as some falsely teach/believe. Job knew there was no torment and suffering if he had died as a child.
Job 3:11 “Why did I not die at birth, come out from the womb and expire?…13 For then I would have lain DOWN AND BEEN QUIET; I WOULD HAVE SLEPT; THEN I WOULD HAVE BEEN AT REST.
The Bible is in one accord on the innocence of children and that there is no guilt of sin.
hope this helps !!!
Scripture says not truebelief is after regeneration because prior to that man is in the flesh and scripture is clear here Rom 8:8
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Why did God make it so difficult for Himself? He could have made the elect follow as planned and when they die they go up... and the others live any old way and when they die they go down. His way is complicated, even for those who understand it. Because you can never be 100% sure. Not really.8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Where in my answer do you think I suppose that Adam came into contact with Satan and not just his ideas???
The question is indeed simple but the answer is not because it challenges the base of all Christian theology, ie, that we are created here on earth.
belief is after regeneration because prior to that man is in the flesh and scripture is clear here Rom 8:8
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Some men, but not those condemned already, those who ignore the truth they know to be true because they love sin more than the truth as per Rom 1:18 to the end. The truth only benefits those who are reborn by grace thru faith.Isn't God's Truth supposed to set men free from that bondage?
ImpossibleScripture says not true
He didn'tWhy did God make it so difficult for Himself?
This is a ball of confusion in order to avoid the plain truth of Rom 8:8FreeInChrist is right to point out the Scriptures to you.
Certainly when a person considers more than just one sentence in a message, a clearer understanding can be acquired, in my view. Even children being instructed by their Mom or Dad are told not to interrupt, but to listen to all of the (I'll use Mom in my analogy) Mom's instruction, and this so as to understand her instruction because she loves her children, and knows what is better for them..
If my Mom was a Spirit, and she says to clean my room, and I obey her, then I am walking in the Spirit of Mom, Yes? And if I refuse to listen, and refuse to clean my room, then I am not walking in the Spirit of my Mom. The Spirit of my Mom isn't guiding me if I'm not following her instruction, I am guiding myself by my own thoughts, not the mind of Mom.
Romans 8 is trying to teach men this very thing, but they are interrupting, and are only listening to just a part of the instruction.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
If Mom is the Spirit, and my thoughts are the Flesh, then by my works it is shown who I want to please.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
You see in the analogy I used, if I reject my Mom's instruction, that mindset is enmity against my Mom. Such a mindset is not subject to nor can it be subject to the Spirit of Mom.
8 So then "they" that are in the flesh cannot please God.
And this by creation, no different than a child and his mother. A child that refuses to listen and "Do" what Mom instructs, "CANNOT PLEASE MOM". For this child's own well being, it must "Learn obedience" to Mom, because Mom knows more than the child, and Mom Loves the Child, and wants the child to prosper.
Paul is explaining this exact same Truth in Rom. 8., to children of God who have turned away from their old rebellious self, and have "Yielded themselves" to God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Theologians, By refusing to consider the whole message from Paul here, have created a philosophy that isn't being taught by Paul and there are many who have adopted their philosophy.
It's good to consider EVERY Word inspired by God, if he is our adopted Father.
Yep, forgiveness, adoption, eternal life, the Holy Spirit, and regeneration.I am going to post @TomL's reply to you so I can highlight things that YOU NEVER COMMENT ON And I want you to comment on each highlighted scripture and explain it.
Everything is after faith or belief...... Not after regeneration.
You answered no questions at allImpossible because of Rom 8:8
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
