Refuting effectually caused faith

Logically, he was saved first and then called. But he did not know that at that time. Ananias only healed his eyesight and prayed for the Holy Spirit to fill Paul.

Acts 9:
10In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!”

“Yes, Lord,” he answered.

11The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”

13“Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”

15But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

17Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

Yes, God had plans for him, but that did not transpire right away.

In order to be made an apostle he had to be made or believer

Here is an instance in scripture where men was effectually caused to believe the gospel Acts 28:24

And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

In the greek the word believed ἐπείθοντο is in the imperfect passive indicative which means they were acted upon, caused to believe

By this its understood that it given to them to believe Phil 1:29

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;, ; for faith is the gift of God,

Acts 28:24 (NASB95) — 24 Some were being persuaded by the things spoken, but others would not believe.

That is not irresistible.

Acts 17:4 (NASB 95) — 4 And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large number of the God-fearing Greeks and a number of the leading women.

persuaded is passive here as well

No one is caused or forced to beliveve on Christ.

However everyone is given the opition to place their faith in Christ.
Will they,, or wont they?
Its up to you, and God honors YOUR CHOICE with Salvation or damnation.

Acts 28:24

Notice some believed not, that's because #1 they were not of Christs Sheep Jn 10:26 and #2 God didn't give them the Gift of Faith Phil 1:29

You totally failed to show an irresistible causing of faith

Lol Acts 17:4 confirms what Im saying, they were caused to believe, its passive voice.

They were caused to believe, they were acted upon by God. They weren't forced to believe, they were persuaded to believe. Thats Gods work in them causing them to will and do of His good pleasure.
Acts 28:24 (NASB95) — 24 Some were being persuaded by the things spoken, but others would not believe.

They were not caused to believe or all would. The offer was out there and by free will choice each made their own decision.

They were not caused to believe
Yes they were caused to believe, its passive voice. God gave them the Gift of believing in Christ which causes belief in Christ Phil 1:29

29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

They were Christ Sheep, if we are not His Sheep we are reprobates He didnt die for Jn 10:26

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. BTW Sheep and Elect are the same
