Paul's Theology #2 "Rightly divide"

I would rather prefer to pray AND study the Scriptures and not go on "experiences"-esp. emotional goosebumps fluctuating sensational experiences-it is by FAITH we apprehend the promises of Christ Jesus-but you may disagree.

I think we should "prefer" to do what Scriptures tell us, and not just paint something as evil.

My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. (Ps. 84:2 NKJ)

Heb 1:1 In many parts and in various ways earlier, God, having spoken to the fathers by the prophets,
Heb 1:2 in [last days these] spoke to us by the son, whom he established heir of all things, through whom also [the eons he made];
Heb 1:3 who being the radiance of the glory, and impression of his essence, and bearing the whole by the word of his power, by himself [a cleansing making] of our sins, he sat at the right of the greatness in heights;
Heb 1:4 [so much better than having become] the angels, [as much more diverse from them he has inherited a name].
Heb 1:5 For to whom said he at some time or other of the angels? [my son You are], I today engendered you. And again, I will be to him for father, and he will be to me for son.
Heb 1:6 [whenever and again] he should bring in the first-born into the inhabitable world, he says, And let [do obeisance to him all angels of God]!
Heb 1:7 And indeed to the angels he says, The one making the angels his spirits, and his ministers [of fire a flame].
Heb 1:8 But to the son, saying Your throne, O God, into the eon of the eon. A rod of uprightness is the rod of your kingdom.
Heb 1:9 You loved righteousness, and detested lawlessness; on account of this [anointed you The God your God] with oil of exultation above your partakers.
Heb 1:10 And, saying You in the beginnings, O Lord, [of the earth laid the foundation], and the works of your hands are the heavens.
Heb 1:11 They shall perish, but you abide; and all as a garment shall grow old.
Heb 1:12 And as a wrap-around garment, you shall coil them, and they shall be changed; but you [the same are], and your years shall not fail.
Heb 1:13 [to which And] of the angels said he at some time or other? Sit down at my right, until whenever I should put your enemies as a footstool of your feet!
Heb 1:14 [not all Are they] ministering spirits, [in service being sent] on account of the ones being about to inherit deliverance?

the letter kills but the spirit gives life
Context.

2Co 3:6 who also made us fit servants of a new covenant, not of contract, but of spirit. For the contract kills, but the spirit restores to life.

2Co 3:7 And if the service of death in contracts having been impressed in stones, happened for glory, so as for [to not be able to gaze the sons of Israel] into the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, the one being cleared away;
2Co 3:8 how not more the service of the spirit will be in glory?
2Co 3:9 For if the service of condemnation be glory, much rather abounds the service of righteousness in glory.
2Co 3:10 For also not even [has been glorified the thing having been glorified] in this part, on account of the exceeding glory.
2Co 3:11 For if the thing being cleared away was through glory, much rather the thing which remains is in glory.
2Co 3:12 Having then such hope, [in much confidence we deal];
2Co 3:13 and not as Moses put a covering upon the face of himself, for the thing [to

not gaze of the sons of Israel] unto the end of the thing being cleared away.
Hath made us able ministers (ἱκάνωσεν ἡμᾶς διακόνους)
An unfortunate translation, especially in view of the conventional sense of able. The verb ἱκανόω from ἱκανός sufficient (see on Rom_15:23), means to make sufficient or fit. It occurs only here and Col_1:12. The correct sense is given by Rev., hath made us sufficient as ministers. Compare enabled (ἐνδυναμώσαντι), 1Ti_1:12.
Of the new testament (καινῆς διαθήκης)

See on Mat_26:28, Mat_26:29. There is no article. Render, as Rev., of a new covenant, in contrast with the Mosaic. See on Heb_9:15. Of course the term is never applied in the gospels or epistles to the collection of New-Testament writings.
Of the letter (γράμματος)

Depending on ministers, not on covenant. For letter, see on writings, Joh_5:47. Here used of the mere formal, written ordinance as contrasted with the Gospel, which is “spirit and life.” Compare Rom_2:29; Rom_7:6.
Killeth
See on Rom_5:12, Rom_5:13; see on Rom_7:9; see on Rom_8:2. Compare 1Co_15:56. “The living testimony borne to his authority in the Corinthian Church suggests strongly the contrast of the dreary, death-like atmosphere which surrounded the old, graven characters on which his opponents rested their claims” (Stanley).
VWP

1) "And not as Moses," (kai ou kathaper Mouses) and not as or like Moses;" We of the church, His new covenant people, His light reflecting agents and agencies, put no veil on our faces or basket over our head, Mat_5:13-16.

2) "Which put a vail over his face," (etithel kalumma epi to prosopon autou) "when he put a veil on his face," Exo_34:33-35.

3) "That the children of Israel could not steadfastly look." (pros to me atentsai tous huious Israel) “to the end that the children of Israel should not gaze either upon the reflected glory of God, or upon the face of Moses, who had been in God's presence to receive the new tablets of stone (ten) commandments, Rom_3:23; Exo_34:27-33.

4) "To the end of that which is abolished," (eis to telos tou katargoumenou) "unto the end of the thing being done away;" The "that which is abolished," and is done away," which was glorious," is the Law of Moses which was a schoolmaster to point to Christ, the Redeemer, till He came, Gal_3:19; Gal_3:24-25. The Law of Moses was annulled, had its program of religious, ceremonial, and worship rites invalidated in the death of Christ on the cross, Col_2:14-17; when He cried, "it is finished," men were liberated from any and all Mosaic law claims of adjudication over them, Joh_19:30.

I still study my Bible.

'Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh,
who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
.. That at that time ye were without Christ,
.... being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel,
...... and strangers from the covenants of promise,
........ having no hope, and without God in the world:
But now
.. in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
.... For He is our peace, Who hath made both one,
...... and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
........ Having abolished in His flesh the enmity,
.......... even the law of commandments contained in ordinances;
............ for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
.............. And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross,
................ having slain the enmity thereby:
.................. And came and preached peace to you which were afar off,
.................... and to them that were nigh.
For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
.. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners,
.... but fellow-citizens with the saints,
...... and of the household of God;
........ And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
.......... Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone;
............ In Whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
.............. In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit
.
(Eph 2:11-22)

' For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
That he would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,

to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;
that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints
what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages,
world without end.
Amen.'

(Eph 3:14-21)

May God be Praised!
