No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Present tense verbs ...
  • now believing = life (now)
  • now not believing = no life (later); damnation (now)
All the Calvinists said ... "AMEN!"

Again, you are arguing with God, not me
No I'm not, I'm in agreement with God. Another verse in the same chapter confirmed that His Death causes or effects Faith Jn 12:23-24

23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

The fruit is believing converts, as a result of Him dying!

That appears to be an assumption

Christ's death provides an opportunity for salvation to all men

Those who believe receive it those who do not believe do not receive life

Those He has mercy on BELIEVE! :)

And not only so, but also when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac, though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad--in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls-- she was told, "The older will serve the younger." - Romans 9:10-12 [ESV]
This has nothing to do with salvation, but rather God’s sovereignty to do as he pleases, regardless of human protocols or traditions. God chose to work through the younger rather than the first born twin.

Scripture puts belief before all effects of salvation in man.

Believing in Christ is the effect of Salvation by Christ

What did Calvin say? Did he believe in this double predestination, including God’s sovereign reprobation of certain human persons to hell?

He wrote: “God once established by his eternal and unchangeable plan those whom he long before determined once for all to receive into salvation, and those whom, on the other hand, he would devote to destruction.” Lest anyone misunderstand him, Calvin drove his point home by ridiculing those who accept election but reject reprobation, calling that an “absurd” notion:

“Therefore, those whom God passes over, he condemns; and this he does for no other reason than that he wills to exclude them from the inheritance which he predestines for his own children.”

What a the horrible Teaching.
