I just found an old blog of mine it has some of my studies done on Islam. I think I'm going to have to update it some.

Jesus died for sinners.
We all qualified long ago.
Most Muslims are looking for Hope and Love and Peace and financial freedom, just like most everyone else.
Their religion is a LIE, and it offers them nothing good., but just this Whore-house heaven, and they have to die to get there....
Christianity, is God as a man coming down from GLORY..... to love them, to give them peace, to give them JOY and HOPE... To bring them into God's family.
They want it.
Everyone does, actually, but the devil blinds the mind, and keeps people from Truly SEEING this God who loves us so much.
Muslims have a big hurdle, as for them to Believe in Christ can get you killed., and it will get you kicked out of your family.
That's a very hard situation, and the devil created it to send billions of them to Hell.

You're right and I do see similarities but I don't think we're not supposed to call them Cults here. I was thinking about it yesterday what's another word you could use it's not degrading. I can't think of one so I guess you got to just call them by what they call themselves. If we want to have dialogue with people that think and believe different than we do we have to be respectful.
I realize I'm feeling miserably In that regard on this thread. It's it's a tough one. When I go to the VA hospital for an appointment and I'm in the waiting room and I see a young guy missing both legs and one arm with his wife sitting next to him and his kids climbing on him it just really ticks me off to know that happened to him by a bomb hidden in the ground (IUD). That's such a cowardly way to fight a war.

Not too long ago i was in the Mount of Olives with my Wife.
And a Palestinian saw us, and came over to chat.
I always will become a guard dog in these situations, as Israel is a place where you can die, quickly, at the hands of these fanatics.
So, in thinking about what im going to have to do, to protect my wife, should this one decide its his day to meet "allah".
He turned out to be, just mostly a somewhat manical preacher for "allah", and he knew all about Christianity..
I didnt have to really even preach.
Mostly We talked about Christian TV, and he had met Benny Hinn, once, near Jerusalem.
He had already decided that i was some kind of "christian" as only a "christian" goes to the Mount of Olives... as this is "bible stuff", you know.
So, he wanted to show me the "exact place" where Muhammed and the White Horse, "ascended to Heaven".
Whenever i hear this, i always think of the "cult of mary" and Her "ascension into heaven".
Cults are cults.
The Devil Loves them all, tho His love, is a little different than God's.

Yes, the Resurrection proves that what Jesus said, did, and died for, is True.
We can find the bones of The Buddha, and maybe some of Peter's, if the Catholics are telling the truth, regarding their collection of "relics".
But, we can't find one single Bone that belonged to Jesus The Christ, ... because Jesus is Alive.
We could have seen them, when He was on the Cross, as they were exposed during His scourging.
But, he still has them all.. and not one of them was broken... (Bible Prophecy).

I think you would have to define your terms. Exactly what is alive. Have a pulse? Be able to walk and talk? The Romans made pretty sure he was dead physically (had no pulse) before they allowed him to be taken off that cross. After the resurrection Jesus was definitely able to walk and talk.
The real question is... Why did Jesus die? The Bible says that Jesus’ death was the only way for redemption. That means someone holy and perfect had to die. Someone not tainted by sin. Someone born of a virgin. God himself.”
