But you brought up ability. The Provisionist says just hearing the gospel means we have ability by hearing. So if I read you the whole law you should have the ability to desire to keep it perfectly. So why not simply choose the desire to do so?

The ability to believe and the ability to be perfect are simply not the same thing

Why not? It's simply a matter of desire and choice. I read you the law. You certainly have the ability, according to you. You choose your desires so why not choose to desire perfection?
