Yes unbelievers which are elect are regenerated and become believers, but even the elect, while unregenerate cant believe, cant please God Rom 8:8

Yep. That is the typical procedure he produces. Take a verse that does not absolutely support your position and ignore all that is contrary to your favored theology.
