Heaven? Not Interested.

Heaven is a place. Its a place where God's presence is sensed and understood constantly.
But, just the same? Its a place.
Only God is Eternal.
If heaven is a place and it is just as eternal as God then God gave His Nature to a place. God reduplicated, copied, His Nature in a location, He gave His Glory to a place.
That is hogwash.
God is Eternal. Only God, and Christ is God, is Eternal and we are hidden in Christ.
Heaven is a Person.

Heaven is a person....
A few blessed husbands can say that about their wives.

Yes!
We are now hidden in Christ.
Hidden in Him like the woman was hidden in Adam before she was to be revealed.

But, we will be revealed outside of His body in the Resurrection!
Then He will say about us...
"Now, this is bone of my bones and flesh of my glorious body."

After all?

As Eve was the wife of Adam. Right?
So shall we be as the manifested Bride of Christ!!!!

We are not going to remain hidden in His body after the Resurrection!
Only hidden in his body while waiting to be revealed..

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing
with the glory that is going to be revealed in us. For the creation eagerly waits
with anticipation for God’s sons to be revealed. " Romans 8:18-19

In Jesus Name I pray.....

grace and peace ..........

No, heaven is a place. We don't eat each other...

7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Yes. And He's going to make two into one with Himself.
In God we will experience eternity. There' nowhere else to go.
We won't be eternal outside Him. There's no such existence outside of God.

I guess all this is imaginary and not real.

Rev 21
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. 16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia[c] in length, and as wide and high as it is long. 17 The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits[d] thick.[e] 18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.[f] 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.

22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

It's right in front of you:

"I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple."

And it all is Him.

There will be no more time. Eye hath not seen....

We will become one flesh in the Resurrection.

will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body." Philippians 3:21

Do you think we will still be IN His body???

What do you mean by in His body ?

What do you mean by in His body ?
You are asking the wrong person..

He said:

Yes. And He's going to make two into one with Himself.
In God we will experience eternity. There' nowhere else to go.
We won't be eternal outside Him. There's no such existence outside of God.

Nowhere else to go? Why? God is omnipresent!

He also said this that led me to believe he thinks we will be inside Christ's body, which will be heaven for us.

God is Eternal. Only God, and Christ is God, is Eternal and we are hidden in Christ.
Heaven is a Person.

I was trying to figure out why he set a limitation as to where we could go.
It was not making any sense in the light of the fact God is everywhere present.
And, he seemed to be saying we will remain in his body for all eternity.

If he can not make sense out of it? He is here to be wasting our time...

So the detailed depiction of heaven in Rev 21 and 22 is fake?

Try copy and pasting some of it to to prime the pump.

Just citing numbers alone does nothing in this case..

.....here!

from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the
throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.
They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from
their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has
passed away.”

That sound like quite a nice place to be.

God has no boundaries. Even the body of Christ itself is boundless.
But let me ask you this: If you close your eyes and try to picture God (who is light) what do you see? Typically, you'd see a 'ball' of light in your view surrounded by shade or darkness. But what did Paul see after he was blinded? He didn't see darkness. He saw total light encompassing his 'limited' view. Remember, the revelation of God in Scripture uses terms that we can understand. But God Himself there are no words to describe Him. He is 'awe-inspiring' and even that word falls short of true description.
I just have this unspeakable words-kind of idea about God. That it is true that eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, nor entered in the mind of men what God has prepared for those that love Him and it will be other-'worldly' and beyond our present comprehension that only in our glorified state we can only see and know only a portion of the eternalness of Almighty God.
But I don't believe God shares or incorporates any aspect of His Deific Attributes or Nature to a location or thing. He is ALL-places and no place at the same time.
Just my thoughts.

So the detailed depiction of heaven in Rev 21 and 22 is fake?
No, not fake. But who's to say that these 'locations' and structures are not part of the all-encompassing Presence of God?
I just don't accept that God shares or reduplicates or incorporates His Deific Attributes and Nature in a place or structure. The language can be for our limited benefit but God Himself is more, eternally more.
After all, didn't the items in the Tabernacle all represent some aspect of Christ using type and shadow?
