Freed from : Calvinism-TULIP-5 points Hyper-Calvinism

The gospel of the hyper-Calvinist is a declaration of God’s salvation of the elect and His damnation of the lost. Hyper-Calvinism takes a biblical doctrine, God’s sovereignty, and pushes it to an unbiblical extreme. In doing so, the hyper-Calvinist downplays the love of God.

Hyper-Calvinism Is an Error. Hyper-Calvinism makes a good start because it begins with scores of biblical passages, including the ones we quoted above, that affirm God’s absolute control over whatever comes to pass. But hyper-Calvinists, being unwilling to give adequate weight to an equally impressive number of Scriptures that teach genuine human responsibility, minimize human responsibility or deny it outright. Hyper-Calvinists have taught that God does not answer prayer; rather, we pray for our own benefit. While benefit comes to those who pray, the Bible plainly teaches that God answers prayer.

Hyper-Calvinism has also downplayed or opposed evangelism in the name of God’s sovereign grace. Scripture teaches God’s sovereign grace, and it also teaches that the sovereign Lord of all has ordained the use of evangelism as the means of bringing his people to himself. In the end, in spite of its good beginning, hyper-Calvinism is a form of rationalism—elevating human reason above some of the truths of God’s Word.

Who are the New Calvinists, and what are the beliefs of New Calvinism?

@civic
yet all believers were children of wrath before conversion.

see Ephesians 2:1-3
civic,

"Only" by nature, not legally! Please consider carefully Paul's words:
Paul clearly said: we were BY NATURE children of wrath, but not so by God's election of grace! There has neve been a time form eternity past, now, or ever when we will not love us, to cement this truth, Paul adds more proof to what he said when the said these blessed words:
We were chosen IN Christ, given to him in an everlasting covenant of grace, whom God appoint the HEAD of the elect body and made him their representative/surety before his law, and accounted what he did as though they themselves did it which is why Paul here said: "hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, even NOW legally speaking!

Legally speaking our salvation from sin and condemnation was FINISHED at death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, for that is where we died and arose with Christ and are now even sitting in Christ in heavenly place in Christ for it is impossible to separate the body from the head~ this part of the Mystery of Christ's salvation that he secured for his people, which is hidden from most, revealed unto his saints, but not to all of them, if they harden their hearts to this blessed truth.

This should help, but only if one hardens not their heart, which is not a good sign of being one of His children, but that's not for me to say, the Lord truly knows them that are his, when we may never know, at best can only be persuaded.

Who are the New Calvinists, and what are the beliefs of New Calvinism?
Whoever put this article together do not know what they are talking about~New Calvinism is not hyper Calvinism, not even close. Now if you desire to go into this with me, then I'm more and willing to oblige you. True hyper Calvinism is OLD Calvinism as preached by the early Baptist during and shortly after the Reformation period when a more moderate Calvinism was introduced, that most of the Reformed Calvinist embraced in our day. I know well what I'm speaking about having been in this circle for over fifty years and have read behind just about everyone of them from Luther/Calvin until now.

@ biblelesson would be more from John Calvin's school of thought, which I am not, but DO consider them by brethren, probably more than they consider me, since I'm more in line with the Particular Baptist, men like Samuel Richardson and John Gill some of the Baptist that lived shortly after the Reformers. The Reformers, the Puritans (John Owens, etc.) and the Particular Baptist and many other like Jonathan Edwards a Congregationist, may sound a lot alike at times on Seteriology, but differ on a few other subject, like baptism, etc.

There is no true religion in the world which is not Calvinistic—Calvinistic in its essence, Calvinistic in its implications.… In proportion as we are religious, in that proportion, then, are we Calvinistic; and when religion comes fully to its rights in our thinking, and feeling, and doing, then shall we be truly Calvinistic.… [Calvinism] is not merely the hope of true religion in the world: it is true religion in the world—as far as true religion is in the world at all.—Benjamin Warfield
I tend to agreed fully with these words as said by Warfield.
