Christendom's Trinity: Where Did It Come From?

Doug Brents:

I asked you a TRUE or FALSE question at Post 389 that you refuse to answer. The answer must either be TRUE or FALSE. Anything beside that amounts to evading.
No, adding to the response beyond true and false is not evading. Because when your question is misleading the answer must be more than true or false.

Now you're wasting my time going back and forth. This is not a game. That's the red flag that I was looking for. It means you are not interested in being corrected by scripture.

Our conversation is over. You can now joint the other six Liars for Trinity that are already on my Ignore List. Go waste somebody else's time.
Sweetheart, if you don't want to learn the Truth then don't come to argue with those who know the Truth.

I'm assuming that Alter2Ego placed everyone on ignore and thus could not continue conversations with any Christians.
I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; 9in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and [e]moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 11Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.

. 11Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.

a.) Why would the Holy Spirit have the Apostle Paul write that down with such a clear unambiguous authoritative commandment for the Body of Christ to follow???

b.) Has the Holy Spirit changed His Mind since that became Scripture???

c.) What are the conditions by which the Holy Spirit approves of a woman teaching???

Shalom

David, I am not arguing that with you and in none of the posts I have made in the last 16 or 17 years on any forum have I ever once claimed I am teaching.... nor am I preaching.....

There are none that I would ever say was qualified to be behind a pulpit.

By the same token I also do not think the USA should ever have a woman president but I digress.

But would it not be nice if there was a woman's and a men's side ?

One forum I am on does do this....

Christian Women Forum
A forum for Christian women.

Christian Men Forum
A forum for Christian men.

In any event... I am not here to teach, but I will correct obvious errors.

Since you may find this to be surprising... the Holy Spirit does , from time to time write responses through me. If it is not from Him then someone is occupying my body and responding... and I know this because when I am reading, especially to catch up where behind I will see things under my name that I do not recognize and they always are in line with the subject and spot on biblically.

Now... having said nothing much at all... I give you leave to not read me at all... and I in tur will be sure I dont trample on you down the line in a reply you may already have replied in..... tipping_hat_smiley.gif

Are we in agreement ... Because I now shall ignore you ....

I know this because when I am reading, especially to catch up where behind I will see things under my name that I do not recognize and they always are in line with the subject and spot on biblically.

lol my sister in Christ = i enjoy your posts = do not be offended at my post to you for it is for your benefit to know the Truth from God, thus the questions presented are from the Holy Spirit and the Answers in Scripture

Are we in agreement ...
When we agree on Truth = "Thy Word is Truth" = we AGREE with GOD

Because I now shall ignore you ....
Not sure why you would ignore me..........."God is for us"

What are the conditions by which the Holy Spirit approves of a woman teaching?
You mean like this?:
"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers,
not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be
sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home,
good, obedient to their own husbands, that The Word Of God be not blasphemed."

Op: Where did christendom's trinity come from?

Christianity's Trinity Came From The Bible: Why The Triune GodHead Is Correct!

So, the Real Question Should Be: "Where did christendom's:
"another Jesus" (2 Corinthians 11:4 AV) come from - ie:

JW's = Jesus is "a god", Mormon's Jesus is "brother of Lucifer", etc, etc. etc.

That's the claim by Trinitarians, Grace ambassador. God's inspired word, the Judeo-Christian Bible, provides no support for that.

Only those that are NOT born again from above, believe there is no Trinity.

Really, Rockerduck? None of the Trinitarians that showed up in this thread have thus far been able to present a single verse of scripture that says God is a Trinity. Perhaps you should try to succeed where they have all failed. Start by presenting your first three "Trinity" scriptures. Three scriptures at a time for each person is how I approach these types of discussions.

Proceed.

If you are not Born Again from above, received the Holy Spirit of Promise and can say positively, without a doubt, you are going to Heaven if you died today, then you believe the man made lie there is no trinity and you have no salvation. God loves me, Jesus saved me, I have the Holy Spirit in me. Yes, I know for a fact I'm going to Heaven whether by death or rapture. If you look for scripture to justify beliefs, the remember everyone who is born again from above like me, never owned a bible until after they were saved and read the word of God after. So I could post 100's of verses, but it would not convince you otherwise because you have been indoctrinated with a belief system that will deny other beliefs.

The Bible Says: Without THREE, no one could be Saved!!!

Sure. I'm hearing that if one little detail changes in the JW system or doubt arises that JWs will lose everything they think they have in truth and security.

The salvation issue for trinitarians is based on their ignorance of who God is. Jesus stated that knowing the Father as the only true God is eternal life. I am not one to judge, but Jesus couldn't have been any clearer. @Rockerduck @civic @DavidTree @every trinitarian on this board.

John 17
3Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

The silent killer of unitarian views
John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

Is not this repeat of the effort of unitarians to cover up evidence against their view? This verse reconfirms the deity and preexistence for the incarnate Jesus.
Runningman forgets he is arguing against those who are against modalism and polytheism. No wonder why he never gets an argument against the prexistent One who was with God and was God and became incarnate as Jesus.

John 17:3 explicitly defines eternal life as knowing the Father as the only true God. John 17:5 doesn't define Jesus as God nor does it define him as pre-existing as God. For your interpretation to be true, Jesus would have to be the Father, but he isn't. You would also have to find a way to confuse the language and make words mean what they do not mean, invent a new dynamic in which two different persons are not two different persons, etc. Your interpretation is unprecedented, unnatural, not intuitive, is confusing, and doesn't make any sense.

Now back to the salvation issue that trinitarians have looming over them. You define the trinity as the "only true god" but Jesus does not. With something as important as your salvation you should take this seriously, not just another debate on a forum, or look for clever ways to try to contradict Jesus.

Correction: The ignorance of those attempting to know GOD apart from the LORD leads to religion and Death!!!

Without THREE, no one could be Saved!!!

TRUTH #1 FATHER God and JESUS CHRIST= John 17
Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

TRUTH #2 JESUS CHRIST to the FATHER = John 14:6
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

TRUTH #3 HOLY SPIRIT = Mark 3:29
“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter;
but he who blasphemes
against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”— because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

HONOR all THREE or you die in your sins!!!

That is so bad of interpretation of scripture. If Jesus were the Father he would not be the Son of the Father. You are trying to find a silly alternative to the deity of Christ. No wonder you cannot comprehend things. YOu replace well-found explanations with silly ones and then reject the real doctrines based on the silly ones.
AGAIN. No Christians that i know of say Jesus is a separate god. Stop attacking straw men and try to come up with a real argument against the testimony of scripture of the deity of Christ. You do this to try to argue for a novel, new, gnostic, private interpretation. For those to be followed, you better try to figure out some good arguments for your weird views.
