Are we told to worship Jesus or are we told to worship God?

Absolutely, it's amazing how people simply dismiss Jesus, in this way in which He stated what his Father desired for people to do. I beileve that people become confused because of other manmade doctrines out there in the world, not to say they are not saved by grace through faith, it's just a misunderstanding that they get into with all those manmade traditions, or suggestions of human beings advice rather than listening to Yeshua. @Studyman.

Indeed. What I have found is the promotion of an "image of God" in the Likness of a man, has been promoted for centuries as "God", by men who come in Christ's Name. Both you and I were born into this world, in which this image is worshiped and promoted. This world's religions have even created high days in worship of this image.

I think, as a result of study, that pretty much all men are born into this same world with the same basic religions, as even Abraham and Noah were born. And we are called upon to choose between the religion of our fathers in this world we were born into, VS the Gospel as promoted by the Holy Scriptures. One path is filled with "many", while the other Path, that Yeshua and the faithful in the Bible like Caleb, Joshua, Gideon and Anna etc., walked, are not so many.

Fascinating study to be sure, and one I have engaged in for over 25 years. I am overjoyed that it seems you too, have caught on.

Good for you Matt :)

How Believing in Jesus Can Save You

The Lord Jesus Christ revealed the gospel that saves any man today to the apostle Paul. This gospel of grace allows Christ to save through mere belief in the gospel of Christ (Eph 1:13)

“To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” – Romans 3:25

Before that time, the righteousness of God to save by faith alone was not known, and so faith by itself would impugn the righteousness of God to save (James 2:20).

Christ had to make himself known to Israel for people to believe who he was, he had to die and resurrect for men to know what he did, and the mystery of the gospel had to be revealed before belief could stand alone without works, law, or Israel (i.e. pure grace).

There was a time when belief in Jesus was either impossible, or insufficient, but now according to the revelation of the mystery, faith in Christ is what saves upon hearing the gospel of the grace of God.

Jesus was God in the flesh who died for your sins, rose from the dead, and revealed the gospel of his finished work having done everything necessary for your salvation. Trust him to be saved according to the gospel of grace.

If you don’t know who Jesus is, what he did, or fail to trust his finished work, then believing in Jesus cannot save you.

Are you saved?

“I believe in Jesus”

So what. What do you believe about him? How does he save you?

Remember, the demons believe in Jesus too. Jesus also said there will be "many" deceivers who come in His Name.

He also said; "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So it's good to trust Scriptures, but we should trust all of them, not just a few.

Thanks for your post, and I have heard these sermons my whole life. But the undeniable Biblical Fact is, there is more to Salvation than a man saying he believes in Jesus. When a person "Seeks the Kingdom of God, and HIS Righteousness, as this Christ instructs, we find what that "more" is.

It seems more prudent to me, to have faith in Scriptures as opposed to random preachers of this world. But we all are free to make our own choices.

Thanks for the reply.

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. Roman 15:4

The scriptures that are written is speaking about the old testament, however now we have the ability to look at their past and also use the gospels, and also with this you get to see the history of the Apostles, from Jew (Acts 1 - 10), to Paul going out to the Gentiles. Along with other letters, like Peter, Colossians, Philippians, James, etc... which help in becoming watered and nurtured in what the history of those people, those times, and those places which can be investigated and see what excavators have dug up and found out through documentations.

While these scriptures can be look at by any man or woman, and read. There is what only seems to be simplicity to be able to gone through chapter and by chapter, and verse by verse by set book. They will read about many fascinating things, as they go along and grow in their knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, by just simply starting with the Gospels, and moving on forward and seeing what happens when Jesus had ascended from having stuck around for a little while longer after the Holy Spirit of God had raised him back up from the dead, after having been murdered by the people on the cross, but having given up his life for the love of his Father, and all of mankind.

It's good to also look at definition of Greek, and Hebrew words for your benefit. Examine under every rock, and check every hilltop, and please remember that you do not have to listen to a man or a woman, tell you what you must believe, and that doesn't mean you have to agree on everything when it comes to Scriptures either, because everyone has to think, and ask Yahava, the Father, or some say Yahweh, or some say Jehovah. Because when it comes down to studying, it's good to do things over and over, and remember, and as you go along, document what you are hearing, and seeing, and listening too, and you will end up with a brighter more colorful picture with the ability to view it from any angle.

Johann,

Saved from what? That brings up in my mind about the four or five saved(s) that are mentioned within the context of scripture.

On account of the victory of Christ for all of mankind: without them having to do anything,

Saved from sin/diseases/death (spiritual)
Saved from the Wrath of God, that was to come upon the nation of Israel. Jesus would (return to gather the spotless bride of Christ and establish the new administration where Jesus is now King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and sits with his Father on his throne, becoming the Lord God Almighty.)
Saved from the Devil, and his angels, the false prophet, the beast, hell

The fourth saved, would be saved to the Kingdom of God, Heavenly Jerusalem.

Everyone is saved from all the things about with in the context of scripture, with people having been healed of sin, their leprosy, people being raised from the dead, all was symbolic of what Jesus was coming to cure for us today, in the spiritual ways of life, because when a person comes of course to the Lord Jesus Christ, they will learn of his ways, and how he handled things, and also more as they go along, they will find out the Apostles were going and casting out demons, and healing people, but sometimes they were not able to do something that had came along. If one considers the victory of the Lord Jesus Christ, and his victory over all things, everyone has been saved from the things mentioned above.

However, they are not saved in the sense of being able to come into the Kingdom of Heaven, because they made their choice to not seek after God in faith, and instead desired to go forth seeking the things of the world in general instead of a relationship, which all will be given their own resurrected bodies, which Jesus talked about which were damned, or condemned, and resurrection bodies, that are of life, and there is said to be even a better resurrection if one seeks after it, which all of these bodies in my opinion will be spiritual, once moving on from this life.

It seems to me that because of salvation, the deliverer, Christ has made it possible to be able to have access to him, in which one decide to follow after him, and they will be going to the Heavenly kingdom, after this life, and to be able to enjoy of the tree of life, however there are those who live outside of the city gates, and they are there it seems, until they may ever turn around and seek for the light, or perhaps those who have passed on already, are still out there helping people come to the light of all mankind, even though that love may be a flame of fire?

Which brings me to the question-did you take the time to give the relative short sermons a listen?
I'm beginning to get excited, and the old flame or coal is burning brighter and brighter.
Ever studied Isaiah 53-I mean-really study that passage? may it reverberate in the hearts and minds of those who are still to come into the fold of Jesus Christ, our Shepherd.

Slothful Christians often consider themselves quite spiritual merely because
their emotions are easily aroused.
They boast of their contentment with "the
simple things" while they should be ashamed of their indifference to the written
Word of God.

They claim great devotion to God, yet neglect the one great
means of knowing Him better. They profess fervent faith in Him, yet scarcely
trouble to find out just what He has said. They do not, like David, meditate upon
God's Word day and night nor, like the prophets, "enquire and search diligently"
as to its true meaning.

The results of this attitude toward the Word are appalling, for such may trust
Christ for salvation, but beyond this they exercise, in most cases, a blind,
superstitious faith that cannot but dishonor God. Feelings are taken for facts
and their own wishes for God's Word. They go into wrong paths, saying, "But I
prayed very earnestly about it and now feel perfectly at peace." They say, "The
Lord spoke to me," and refer to some feeling rather than to some passage of
Scripture consistently applied. Thoughtlessly they say, "If it's in the Bible I
13
believe it," yet as they read the Bible they take to themselves only what warms
their hearts and leave the rest unapplied, not knowing exactly why.

But those who boast of their contentment with "the simple things" and oppose
dispensational Bible study on the ground that all the Bible is for us, have
certainly missed the fact that all Scripture was given that the man of God might
be perfectly fitted and fully equipped for his work (See II Tim. 3:17).

There is a great difference between the "child of God" and the "man of God"
and no one who remains an infant in the truth can be approved as a workman for
God or as a soldier of Jesus Christ, for the workmen God approves must know
how to rightly divide the Word of truth and the soldiers He honors must know
how to wield the Sword of the Spirit.

We can sympathize with those who have begun to study the Bible
dispensationally and have found it confusing. The study of almost any subject is
confusing at first, but as we persevere we begin to understand and to reap the
fruits of our toil. Indeed, to any thoughtful person the Scriptures must continue
to be confusing until he learns to rightly divide and so to understand them. And
what joy can compare with that of coming into a fuller understanding of God's
Word?

It is written concerning the great spiritual revival under Ezra, when the law
was read and explained to the people of Israel:
"And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send
portions, and to make great mirth, BECAUSE THEY HAD UNDERSTOOD
THE WORDS THAT WERE DECLARED UNTO THEM" (Neh. 8:12).

On the resurrection morning two disciples trudged wearily toward Emmaus,
heart-broken because their Master had been crucified.
They did not understand
that according to the prophetic Word He must suffer and die before entering into
His glory. Then the Lord Jesus Himself drew near and, unrecognized, explained
this to them from the Scriptures until they understood and believed and rejoiced.
"And they said one to another, DID NOT OUR HEART BURN WITHIN US,
WHILE HE TALKED WITH US BY THE WAY, AND WHILE HE OPENED TO US
THE SCRIPTURES?" (Luke 24:32).

Praise God!

Which brings me to the question-did you take the time to give the relative short sermons a listen?
Why do I need to listen to them?
I'm beginning to get excited, and the old flame or coal is burning brighter and brighter.
Okay.
Ever studied Isaiah 53-I mean-really study that passage? may it reverberate in the hearts and minds of those who are still to come into the fold of Jesus Christ, our Shepherd.
I do not believe I have ever took time to study, Isaiah 53.

Yes, a man should study God's inspired Word. But not the religious philosophies of the Pope, or Benny Hinn, or Gamaliel, or Augustine or Smith, or Miller, or Calvin or Wesley, their numbers are too great to list. Paul was speaking to the Body of Christ telling them to study the Holy Scriptures which he said were trustworthy "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
.

I know you don't believe all these "random preachers" of this world. You have adopted the views of some of them, while rejecting the views of others. And the this tradition is also practice by others, who choose one "random preacher" over another.

What I advocate for, and please understand that I believe you are free to surround yourself and fill yourself with the religious opinions of anyone you want, but my point is that Philip and I had to same teachers, who we know were chosen by God to teach.

There are many self-proclaimed "Paul's" out there, or men who claim to "Rightly Divide" scriptures. Paul warns about this very thing.

2 Cor. 11: 12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, "they may be found even as we." (These would be random preachers, Yes?) 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, "transforming themselves" into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

When a person couples this warning with the warning regarding the future that the Jesus of the Bible gave us;

Matt. 24: 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I (Jesus) am Christ; and shall deceive many.

There are many, many more warnings regarding this very thing in the Bible.

That is why I refuse to fill myself with the words of "random preachers". Rather, I listen to and believe the same preachers God sent to the Body of Christ in OT and NT times. As HE has made their teaching, from the Prophets to Yeshua to the 12 Disciples, available to us in our own homes.

I understand this goes against this world's most popular religious traditions, nevertheless, it seems the Christ saw this was coming as well, and inspired Paul to warn us again.

Col. 2: 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition "of men", after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

There were "random preachers" of Yeshua's Time as well. But HE only listened to His Father and Quoted the Preachers HIS Father sent.

Do these things matter? Well they mattered enough for Yeshua to warn us about them.

Amen.

Amen. That is exactly why I study Scripture According To God's Bible study rules.

Amen.
There is no such thing as Bible study rules, set forth by God? There is just the ability to communicate with Yahava, by virtue of faith, and you have to make your own decisions, even asking God to help you become a man of faith, to have self-control, to love, etc... Scouring over the scriptures and simply studying in general to see if things are true is about all one can do. No man or woman should ever come between a person and them seeking him faithfully. Though one can consider what they say, it does not mean it is true.

All the best, JOhann.

May all us be encouraged to stay strong in faith towards God and love towards him and others.

Stay strong in Christ Jesus.

of Christ. And no marvel; For Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is
no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end
shall be according to their works.”
Then we quote
II JOHN 7 to 11
“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we
receive a full reward.
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God, He that
abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house,
neither bid him God speed:
For he who biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”
If we are willing to know the truth about Satan and his religious activities, in the name of
Christ and Christianity, we shall know how to account for many of the Satanic cults which are
flourishing in the land today.
We are aware of the fact that the United States Constitution grants to every individual
and organization the right to any interpretation of the Bible and any practice of religion, as long
as no part of that Constitution is violated. For this all Christians should indeed be grateful.
Again, we are aware that some of the most moral, upright, cultured, benevolent,
philanthropic, gentle, amiable people are found in all of these counterfeit Christian (?)
movements. Perhaps most of them are sincere, and surely every true Christian should be one
hundred percent sincere; but no one is as wrong as is the individual who is sincerely wrong.
“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Proverbs 16:25.
In II Thessalonians 2:9 to 14. there is expressed the difference between the religious
people who are sincerely wrong and those who are truly saved.
II THESSALONIANS 2:9 to 14
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and
lying wonders. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they
received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send
them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed
not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we are bound to give thanks always to
God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to
salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. Whereunto He called you by
our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
The devil is so clever that he can cause religious people to continue in an unsaved state,
rejecting the true gospel, even denying that there is a judgment after death, even denying that the
Satan described in the Bible is anything more than a fictitious character. To them he is only a
myth.
During the last forty years many converts have been added to the ranks of “Christian
Science” and the other metaphysical, pantheistic, anti-Christian movements, such as “Unity,”
“New Thought,” “Theosophy” and “Spiritism.” “Christian Science,” the religion of Mrs. Mary
Baker Eddy, is a fast growing movement, carried on with great zeal by aggressive religious men
and women. Presently we shall show that it is unscriptural, unspiritual, unchristian, if not
altogether unscientific. How then account for its progress and prosperity? Read this verse of

Scripture
II PETER 2:1 AND 2
“But there were false prophets also among the people even as there shall be false teachers
among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought
them and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways:
by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
We quote also:
I TIMOTHY 4:7
“But refuse profane and old wives fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.”
And:

I TIMOTHY 4:1
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the
faith giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
The “Mormons (Latter Day Saints) have sent out from Utah and other states, hundreds of
missionaries to propagate their “Joseph Smith corruption.” If you have talked with these
missionaries, you have found them both subtle and sincere, both diligent and determined. They
sow zealously, energetically, unceasingly, in hope. They have a goal to reach and labour on in
spite of all handicaps, opposition and discouragement.
This is true also concerning “Jehovah’s Witnesses,” who are enthusiastically
disseminating the errors of Judge Rutherford and Pastor Chas. T. Russell, working in great haste,
because the time of Jehovah’s kingdom is very near at hand. We will use the Scriptures to prove
presently that they are giving out religious poison for the soul. They claim to be using more than
sixty radio stations each week in the propagation of their creed and doctrine. Pastor Russell’s
books have been translated into many different languages. There are some splendid, sincere
people among them. But doctrines are, first of all, to be tried by the Inspired Scriptures. No
religious people, who claim to be Christians, should object to the search light of Divine truth.
What is true concerning the zeal of the Mormons and “Rutherfordites,” or “Russellites,”
is equally true of the “Seventh Day Adventists.” They are busy with their false doctrines in both
their oral and printed messages, working overtime to drag God’s redeemed ones under Israel’s
Sabbath, and get them to accept the devil as sin-bearer. This truly is a false and pernicious
doctrine. The Epistle to the Galatians is God’s answer to this hybrid Christian religion, which
has some true Bible doctrine mixed with Mrs. White’s revelations. We shall look into this
presently. But if Adventists really understood Galatians 3:19 they would throw their religion
overboard. But alas! Satan keeps them under the yoke of bondage.

Why do you always share these made articles by other people? Why would or should I make effort and time to sit here and read this?

I dont find them ever useful to me personally, maybe you find them useful or others, but they are not addressing the topic.

Would you be willingly to stay on topic? And perhaps share your own thoughts, by the spirit instead of always sharing those thoughts of others and how they may "feel" about things?

All the best, JOhann.

May all us be encouraged to stay strong in faith towards God and love towards him and others.
Amen-we are all in various stages of growth in our Lord-endowed with certain talents given us by the Holy Spirit-that's why we NEED each other-all boasting excluded.

I don't believe that I am always in need of others help, or suggestions. However, to respect you is something that is possible by the spirit of Christ.
