@synergy
You just created a new category of sin called "likeness of sin". You possess a lively imagination.

Romans 8:3

“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:”

At a cellular level, the egg of a woman looks like our very planet.

Sir, if you reject Jesus' Deity then you are not a Christian based upon God's testimony. Correct teaching concerning who Jesus truly is, is absolutely imperative of being a child of God, or I should say, it is impossible to be a child of God and fat out reject Jesus being The I AM THAT I AM. I understand that one could have an imperfect understanding of Jesus' Sonship and still be a child of God, but one can not reject his Deity.

2nd John 1:9

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”
You know @Red Baker , I am not sure he or they care.

The phrase in Titus 2:13, "τοῦ μεγάλου Θεοῦ καὶ Σωτῆρος ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ" (tou megalou Theou kai Soteros hemon Iesou Christou), translates to "our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ." The Granville Sharp rule in Greek grammar supports this interpretation: when two singular nouns (like "Θεοῦ" and "Σωτῆρος") are connected by "καὶ" (and) and share a single definite article (in this case, "τοῦ"), they typically refer to the same entity. Thus, the text identifies Jesus Christ as both "God" and "Savior."

You should learn the context of "definitive articles" in Greek....
It’s both basic Greek and English which the unis have failed the course. But as we both know Greek is a more precise language. :)

@Administrator is this debate over? It seems it has turned into a open debate for all. Which if that's the case then I did not get to provide any offense in this debate, which I desired to do and wanted @Peterlag @Runningman @Keiw1 @Studyman to respond to.

Thanks for your consideration.

Jesus is not God, but rather is a man empower by God.

Exodus 20:3 - "You shall have no other gods before me.”

Acts 2:22 - “Jesus of Nazareth…a man attested by God with mighty works and wonders and signs which God did through him.”

They lost me over this...

For Him coming to the Earth as a man would have been a huge big deal and He would have explained it as to why He was coming and what He was going to accomplish by coming. And yet there's not an inkling of why God would come or what He would accomplish by coming.

The best they could come up with when I asked this question was "nothing" and then they said we already answered you.

The accomplishments and reasons behind Christ's Incarnation and Work, what only God can do:

1. Jesus Tabernacled as God Among Us

Only God can dwell in the fullness of His presence with humanity. In Christ, the eternal Word became flesh and tabernacled among us (John 1:14). Just as God’s glory once filled the temple, Jesus Himself is God’s presence on earth (Col. 2:9). No man can make himself the dwelling place of God—this is uniquely God.

2. Jesus Removed the Barrier of Sin
Only God can forgive sins (Mark 2:7). Through His death, Jesus provided the perfect atonement, satisfying divine justice and reconciling humanity to God (Rom. 3:25; 2 Cor. 5:19). Human priests offered sacrifices, but only God could remove sin once and for all.

3. Jesus Conquered Death and the Devil
Death has power over every human being (Rom. 5:12), but Jesus—by His own divine authority—entered death and then destroyed it (Heb. 2:14; 1 Cor. 15:54–57). Only God can lay down His life and take it up again (John 10:18), defeating the devil and the grave.

4. Jesus Sanctified and Elevated Human Nature
Humanity cannot heal itself. By assuming our nature without sin, the Son of God restored and sanctified it (Heb. 2:11). What Adam destroyed, only God could remake in Himself as the Last Adam (1 Cor. 15:45).

5. Jesus Revealed God Fully and Personally
Prophets and teachers spoke about God, but only God Himself can reveal God perfectly. Jesus is the exact imprint of God’s nature (Heb. 1:3) and the visible image of the invisible God (Col. 1:15). No man can say, “Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9)—only God can.

6. Jesus Fulfilled the Law and the Prophets
Men attempted to keep the law, but only God could embody and complete it without sin (Matt. 5:17; Heb. 4:15). Jesus is the divine fulfillment of every covenant promise, prophecy, and shadow of the Old Testament.

7. Jesus Inaugurated the Kingdom of God
Human rulers establish earthly kingdoms, but only God can bring in His eternal reign. In Christ, the kingdom of God broke into history (Mark 1:15). No man could perform God miracles to prove this reality (Luke 11:20)—only God could.

8. Jesus Became Our High Priest and Mediator
Human priests stood between man and God but were themselves sinners. Only God could provide a perfect mediator—Christ, fully God and fully man (1 Tim. 2:5). He alone grants access to God’s throne of grace (Heb. 4:14–16).

9. Jesus Poured Out the Holy Spirit
No man can give the Spirit of God. Only Jesus, risen and exalted, could send the Holy Spirit to dwell within believers (John 16:7; Acts 2:33). This is a uniquely God work.

10. Jesus Began the Cosmic Renewal of Creation
Only God can reconcile all things in heaven and earth to Himself (Col. 1:20). Creation itself groans for redemption (Rom. 8:20–21), which no man can bring about. In Christ, the Creator Himself began the renewal of the entire cosmos.

In His coming, Jesus Christ accomplished what no man could ever do. He tabernacled among us as God, removed the guilt of sin, destroyed death and the devil, sanctified human nature, revealed God perfectly, fulfilled the law and the prophets, inaugurated God’s eternal kingdom, became the one true Mediator, poured out the Holy Spirit, and began the renewal of all creation. Every work of Christ reveals that He is truly God, for only God can do these things.

and since "the Word was God" who tabernacled as Jesus then you're confirming that it was Jesus who accomplished all those tasks that only God can do. Thank you for confirming Trinitarianism.

I also believe that Jesus is our Exemplar, not a "Superman" that reserves powers, needed by us for our salvation, only to himself.

To be clear, the wickedness being promoted by this world's religions isn't that the man of sorrows, Jesus, reserved powers "we need for Salvation" from us and kept them to Himself. I'm not sure where you got this from, certainly not my posts.

The wickedness is that they promote a Jesus that wasn't a mortal man, but 100% God, who "overcame sin, temptations and death", not by Faith in His Father, as HE required of Abraham and Peter and all other humans, but by reserving God powers unto Himself that HE withheld from all other humans. Then, when the going got tough as it does with all humans, He got through the tough times not by Faith and Yielding Himself to God, as the Scriptures actually teach, but by accessing God Powers He withheld from all others. Then when HE overcame in this world "because" as Red and many others who call Jesus Lord, Lord preach, HE was God, He Glorified Himself and gave Himself a name above all other humans. If HE came to earth as God, then what was the purpose of the anointing? What was the big deal of Him overcoming in the world HE created? How is it a great victory for God to overcome sin?

This philosophy is not supported by scriptures, and it demeans and discredits the commitment and Love the Jesus "of the Bible", had for His Father, and it makes a mockery of the Power of Faith that Jesus promoted to everyone. And it implies that God is a liar, and a cheat who faked His own Death, and pretended to me a man "who was tempted in all ways as other men". And then when HE did what any man with God Powers could do had HE not withheld it from them, He glorified Himself and gave Himself a name above all other humans.

It's like God the Father is the coach, and HE has humans on his team, and His Son is also on the team. But this God gives His Son performance enhancing drugs that HE withholds from all the other players. Then when His Son out performs all the other players, "because" of the drugs no one else is allowed to have, His Father gives Him the Glory, and the Trophy.

Such a philosophy is a wicked characterization of God, no different than the serpents characterization of God to Eve. It makes God out to be like the Pharisees, who placed burdens onto the people who trust him that HE Himself would not lift with one finger. And most importantly, the Scriptures don't promote such a God.

That still does not exempt anyone from believing that "the Word was God" who tabernacled as Jesus on Earth.

Of course, the "Word of God" is Spirit. Whose Word's did Jesus say HE was sent to deliver? Did the Same Spirit of Christ not also tabernacle with Noah, Abraham and all the Prophets??

He Himself inspired, "The Just shall Live By Faith". Who is more Just than the Lord's Christ?

And yet this world's religions deny Him, reject Him who lived by Faith, and create instead an image of God, in the likeness of a very handsome man, with long flowing hair and blue eyes, who didn't Live by Faith at all, rather, HE overcame "because" HE was God.

This is "another Jesus" that is promoted by the religious system of this world. Not the Jesus "of the Bible".

My friend, you will not persuade them with "Scriptures". The Jesus "of the Bible" tells us this very thing.

Luke 16: 31 And he said unto him, "If they hear not" Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Duet. 18: 17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet "from among their brethren", like unto thee, and will put "my words" in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them "all that I shall command him". 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto "my words" which he shall speak "in my name", I will require it of him.

But perhaps there is someone reading along that has been pricked in his heart, like Paul was, concerning the religious system of this world and the idolatry so prevalent in it, and will consider doing the study themselves.

Keep up the good work.

Since you think I'm God because I wrote it asking you if it's true and then you spin it to mean that I said it concerning the Bible and thanked me is deception just as great as the Devil.

You don't think that God removed the barrier of sin or pour out the Holy Spirit, to name just 2 God events? How will you ever be saved?

When did I ever say you were God? You're smoking some strong weed these days.
