Did you not read that the first resurrection has happened? They are like angels and not marrying. If you do not like that message from scripture, that is your choice. This still leaves the bodily resurrection in the future, but is not the focus of Revelation. Is that undesirable for you?

Hi, Mike. The first resurrection has not happened yet. It will happen when Jesus returns at the 7th trump. This is when, in the twinkling of an eye, everyone will be changed into a spiritual body. That’s everybody! Sinners too. …but not everyone will go through the First Resurrection—only the saints (overcomers) will. This is the resurrection of the soul (not the body, mind you) to immortality!

wow!! Sinners are going to inhabit the earth and run things? I've not heard that. I guess I have not gotten exposed enough to that eschatology view. do you have other passages to say the wicked arise at the same time in a fashion contrary to Rev 20?

I think Paul was only interested in taking away the concerns of those who thought they would not benefit in the resurrection of the righteous since they were still alive at that time.

My friend lets not be so quick to try and ever once believe in universal salvation .
Not saying you do
but a flag popped up when i seen EVEN sinners will be changed . NO , ONLY the church is
we fly HOME on that day . Not saying you beleive in universalism but i did get a wee worried
when i seen that particular belief you wrote concering even sinners .

As you can see, when Jesus Christ returns at the last trump, two distinct things happen.
The first is that we are all "raised up" or "changed" from flesh bodies to spiritual bodies, that is, from corruptible flesh to incorruptible spirit. This is true for both good and bad people. Now the First Resurrection to Eternal Life is the second event that takes place. So the saints who are currently in their spiritual bodies are "raised" and "resurrected" to immortality!

There is a big difference between the resurrection of the body and the resurrection of the soul to immortality!

Eternal life comes upon believing in Christ. It is the point when a person knows God. Also, the "all" refers to the whole group of followers of Christ, notably of those still alive at that moment. Paul has no reason to speak of the wicked when trying to encourage those believers in Corinth.

But i just want to remind us all of something .
Visualize this massive beach and a huge ocean with peoples drowning .
Then visualize the church debating on ideas about how perhaps maybe these drowing people
might not even have to grab ahold of the life line , as though somehow maybe the waves
will save some of them . NOPE . If we want souls saved , PREACH JESUS

This change mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:52 from the flesh body into the new spiritual or incorruptible body has nothing to do with the condition of your soul. If you were lost before, you still will be lost, and if you have received Jesus Christ and are under His shed blood, you will still be in that same spiritual saved condition. What is happening is that at the sounding of the 7th trump, which is the last trumpet, all flesh will be done away with. See?
