Jesus, as the Word become flesh, is full of grace and truth (1:14), and is the source of grace and truth (1:17). In contrast to the woman at the well, who felt geographic location of worship was important, Jesus states that the issue is not whether one should worship God in Moriah or Gerizim, but rather one should worship in spirit and in truth. For John, truth is ultimately identified with, and is personified in the person of, Jesus Christ. The ministry of John the Baptist is to bear witness to the truth (5:33). Jesus speaks the truth, and for this the Jews seek to kill him (8:40). This is because the Jews who contended with Jesus were ultimately of their father the devil, who has no truth in him whatsoever (8:44-46).

Jesus describes himself as the way, the truth, and the life, and as such he is the only means to the Father (Jn 14:6). Even when Jesus departs, the ministry of truth will continue because the Comforter, who is the Spirit of truth (Jn 14:17), will be active both in the church as well as in the world.

While the term "truth" appears only sporadically in most of the General Epistles, it appears repeatedly throughout the Johannine epistles. To claim to have fellowship with God, and to walk in darkness, is not to live according to the truth (1John 1:6). To claim sinlessness for the believer is to practice self-deceit and thus be void of truth (1John 1:8). The basic message of Christianity is termed "the truth, " and believers know the truth, and can discern that no lie is of the truth (1John 2:4,21). Believers are to love in both deed and in truth (i.e., "truly" 1John 3:18). Believers are of the truth, which no doubt means that they belong to Jesus, who is the truth (1John 3:19). Likewise, the fact that we are of God allows us to know the spirit (Holy Spirit?) of truth, and to discern it from the spirit of error (1John 4:6). The truth abides with us forever (2John 2), and the Elder rejoices because the elect lady's children follow the truth ( 2John 4; 3John 4 ). Further references in 3John indicate that the Elder refers to Jesus Christ as "the truth" (3John 3,4,8,12). Interestingly, the term "truth" does not occur in Revelation. (Text: Andrew L. Smith)

Jesus is the word, God's word. God's word is truth. The truth sets us free from sin and death. To lie is what put us into bondage to sin and death.
But thanks to God's word we know the truth. Here's some of that truth.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Truth Has Become a Matter of Opinion In Today’s World​


For me, the truth is the facts about it, rather than things that are imagined or invented, which makes me believe that caregiving has a connotation of the Ugly Truth. You can’t make up the nitty gritty of the demands and tasks of providing care for someone at their most vulnerable times in their lives. Disease, disorders and death are not pretty. It is hard to watch, to be present, or even invent something about it.
 
The truth itself does not decay. In the words of the prophet Isaiah, ‘The grass withers, and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever’ Is. 40:8.

Likewise, Jesus affirmed that ‘heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away’ Matt. 24:35

Yet, the human grasp of truth in a fallen world may loosen or slip. ‘Truth has stumbled in the streets’, Isaiah lamented Is. 59:14

Jeremiah also declared to an apostate Israel, ‘Truth has perished; it has vanished from their lips’ Jer. 7:28

When Pontius Pilate interrogated Jesus before his crucifixion, Jesus proclaimed, ‘Everyone on the side of truth listens to me’. John 18:37 To this Pilate replied, ‘What is truth?’ and immediately left Jesus to address the Jews who wanted Christ crucified.

As philosopher Francis Bacon wrote, ‘What is truth? said jesting Pilate; and would not stay for an answer.’ Although we have no record of any reply by Jesus, Christians affirm that Pilate was staring Truth in the face, for Jesus had stated earlier to Thomas, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life’ John 14:6
 
In order to know the truth you have to examine the evidence.

1. The truth must be feasible and viable. For example, he reduced the set of suspects by crossing from his list those with confirmed alibis.
2. The truth will usually be straightforward and simple. He looked for the explanation or suspect that most simply fits the evidence.
3. The truth should be exhaustive. The explanation or suspect that accounts for most or all of the evidence is typically the right one.
4. The truth must be logical and consistent. The right explanation will make sense once you understand the motives or reasoning.
5. The truth will be superior. One suspect or explanation will fit the evidence far better than any of the alternatives.

God is truth; the Spirit is truth; and Jesus is truth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Jesus and the revelation which the Spirit of truth gave through His apostles are the final, ultimate revelation and definition of truth about God, man, redemption, history, and the world. “The law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John 1:17).

In our fallen state we don’t respond well to truth. Paul even warned about people who would eventually turn away from the truth and turn aside to myths and false teachers (2 Timothy 4:3-4). This happens with unbelievers but it also happens to believers before conversion. There are other responses we have concerning the truth…
And yet, Jesus tells us “everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice” (John 18:37). The Apostle John echoes his definitive claims to truth by aligning his teaching with Christ’s when he said, “We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” (1 John 4:6). These are radical claims in Scripture. Jesus and the Apostle are on the side of truth and those who disagree are on the side of falsehood. These verses set up two sides of a battle between truth and error: the cosmic battle.

Antithesis
This system of truth and error sets up an antithesis. Wherever God’s truth is revealed, the Satanic lie militates against his truth with an opposite claim. In fact, whatever biblical claim God stakes in a particular area, the exact opposite is the false claim of the world, the flesh, and the devil. This is the antithesis between truth and error:

    • Roles vs. Jealousy:
      For example, God set up particular roles for people to exercise, but the lie bucks at the roles God set up and inserts jealousy between people because of those roles.

    • Responsibility vs. Blame:
      For example, God has given people responsibility to exercise responsibility in their roles, but the lie is that we should not take responsibility and instead blame others.

    • Authority vs. Rebellion:
      For example, God gave some people and leaders authority to rule in the state, the church, and the home. But the Satanic lie aims to rebel against God’s order in each sphere.

    • Delegation vs. Tyranny:
      For example, God has granted to leaders the grace of delegation and distribution of various powers among a people, but the opposing falsehood is tyrannical rule.

    • Freedom vs. Bondage:
      Finally, when the biblical mandate is for people to have freedom in Christ. The lie is that we don’t enjoy freedom with Christ – instead we are in bondage to sin.

Tackett then moves to the question “what is truth?”. This question has challenged philosophers and theologians for millennia. The video offered a few definitions of truth, but RC Sproul’s definition seems to capture the nature of truth best: “Truth is defined as that which corresponds to reality as perceived by God.” RC Sproul

    • In other words, truth is reality as God sees it. As much as we perceive reality in the way God sees it, then we perceive reality correctly. That is truth.

Those who connect well with reality are connected to truth. On the other hand, insanity is a loss of connection to reality. Insanity can affect people severely like those who are committed to insane asylums. Most people recognize anyone claiming to be Napoleon as insane. But insanity can also affect us in a more common sort of way. This is the kind of “insanity” which is disconnected from the reality God explains in his word. Jesus addressed “common insanity” in Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

In this passage, Jesus was appealing to the reality of God’s care for his children and showing that we should therefore not worry. Since God cares for birds and flowers, we should trust God to care for us as his children. After all, we’re worth more than birds and flowers. Therefore, we shouldn’t be worried about everything non-believers worry about. To worry reflects a “common insanity” or disconnection from the knowledge that God cares for his children

Application: Faith Connecting Us to God

Finally, Tackett ended the first lesson on faith. Faith is our connection to God. Faith is the means by which we can escape “common insanity” or mistaken, worldly beliefs. Fundamentally, genuine faith is not a feeling. Instead, faith is the grip by which we hold onto God by believing his word. As a frightened young child jumps from a diving board into a pool for the first time to his mother, so also we jump into God’s endeavors knowing he will uphold us in his will. the truth project

Its Jesus Himself.
"Truth Exists" because Jesus is THE Truth.

Jesus, being God.......and both are ONE...... = They are Truth.

That's why Truth Exists.
That's also why love exists, and goodness, and Salvation, and Grace, and mercy, and revelation knowledge, and compassion, and so much more.

I was reviewing here all the scriptures you put down with the word "truth". Really is amazing how many times the word is used in the NT.
 
Truth is a weapon.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive, effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, cutting to the point of dividing soul and spirit, joints from marrows, astutely judging the thoughts and intents of our human heart
