What is the truth?

The truth like grace or wisdom or the fear of the LORD, and many other such things is both something as well as Someone.


Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6

Jesus Christ is the truth.

Every word that proceeds out of His mouth is the truth.

Therefore the fullness (threefold fullness) of the truth is expressed through…

His Gospel
His Doctrine
His Commandments


We are all called to walk in the truth. Being led by the Spirit is the lifestyle of walking in the truth.

The Spirit of Truth will always lead us in the way of truth.


I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.

Obeying the truth is the way of eternal life. We are saved, born again; regenerated by obeying the truth through the Spirit.


Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 1 Peter 1:22-23


We are living in the climax of the last days, where deception is rampant. Soon we will see the false messiah appear in Jerusalem. The frightening reality is God Himself is enabling the antichrist to deceive those who do not love the truth.


The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12


The question for us, His people who are living in the last days… Do we love the truth.


I hope to cultivate a strong love for the truth in this thread by likeminded believers.


Much deception has been promoted through the media to this generation. We must learn to develop a love for the truth, and pass this on to our children.

We must cultivate a ”taste” for the truth.


But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath.

100% correct. but ..... but, Matthew 24:12 "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." and one more, Matthew 23:15 "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves."

is this not what happening today? as you said, "Every word that proceeds out of His mouth is the truth". and yet many ignore what he has said, for example, Matthew 19:3 "The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?" Matthew 19:4 "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female," here, the TRUTH said God is a "he" that made them at the beginning made them male and female,"
and yet many, and 101G means MANY ignore what he the TRUTH said, and yet say they obey God. or when he said, "HE" will raise up his own body in three days.... John 2:18 "Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?" John 2:19 "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." John 2:20 "Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?" John 2:21 "But he spake of the temple of his body."
again, yet many do not believe the Lord Jesus the TRUTH, but yet they say that they obey God.

God’s way is truth, which is the way to know Him and Jesus by being in His likeness through experiencing being a doer of His character traits, and which is the way to eternal life (John 17:3). For example, in Genesis 18:19, God knew Abraham that he would teach his children and those of his household to walk in God’s way by being a doer of righteousness and justice that the Lord might bring to him all that He has promised. An arrow flies true when it hits its mark, our mark is to walk in God’s way, and the Torah is truth (Psalms 119:142) because it is His instructions for how to walk in God’s way (1 Kings 2:1-3) while sin is missing the mark, sin is what is contrary to God’s way, and sin is the transgression of the Torah (1 John 3:4). The Spirit has the role of leading us in truth (John 16:13) and of leading us to obey the Torah (Ezekiel 36:26-27) because the character traits of God are the fruits of the Spirit. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact likeness of His character (Hebrews 1:3), which he expressed through his works by setting a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to the Torah, so he is the way, the truth, and the life, and the way to know the Father (John 14:6-12). In John 8:31-36, it is the transgression of the Torah that puts us into bondage while the truth sets us free.

Example, John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments." QUESTION, "HOW CAN ONE "LOVE" (THE TRUTH), THE Lord JESUS, WHEN ONE DON'T KNOW HIM, AND DO NOT OBEY HIM?

Please share the scriptures that say God is one person.


The scriptures teach that these three are One.

Not this one is three.


For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7

there are so many ... 101G will give you a few, Isaiah 44:6 "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God." or Isaiah 45:5 "I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:" or Isaiah 45:21 "Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me."

how many times must God say .... "there is none beside me."

JLB, understand what God has said in Genesis 1:1 which should solved God plurality of ONE PERSON. see the sticking point is in the term ...... "WITH" ...... which has been grossly misunderstood. for example, Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." but in the very next verse .... Listen, Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." so the question comes, HOW CAN GOD GO FROM A PLURALITY IN ONE VERSE BUT IN THE VERY NEXT VERSE HE'S A SINGULARITY? well, the answer come in the term "WITH" as in the scripture, John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." question, how can the Word be .... "WITH" .... God and yet is God? good question right. well the bible always answer itself. here is just one of the understanding answers to this question of God's PLURALITY as ONE SINGLE PERSON. listen carefully. Isaiah 41:4 "Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he." see that "WITH" here, just as in John 1:1. it seem like two persons right? wrong, let the bible reveal the answer to us. Isaiah 48:12 "Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last." that term "ALSO" means, in addition; too. so, in addition to being the First.... he God is ... ALSO .... the Last. the same one person as in John 1:1

now the question is, "How is God a PLURALITY of himself as ONE PERSON?". answer, he is the "EQUAL SHARE" or the H259 ECHAD of himself in ORDINAL DESIGINATION, in TIME, PLACE, ORDER, and RANK, just as Genesis 1:1 clearly states, and back up in Deuteronomy 6:4 OT, and Philippians 2:6, again. but also in many other places in the OT as well as the NT.

Yes, what Jesus said in John 14:6-12 can be derived from other parts of Scripture. God’s word truth (John 17:17) and Jesus is God’s word made flesh, so he is truth made flesh and he embodied truth by walking in sinless obedience to God’s word. It is not just everything that he said was truth but also everything that he thought and did. Jesus is truth in the sense that an arrow flies true when it hits its mark in that we hit our mark when our aim is to be in his likeness by being a doer of His character traits in accordance with his example of obedience to the Torah.

I guess you seen the video . YES it is VERY sad that many are headed right into
the universal love of the god of all darkness .
Very deadly and highly deceptive is this false love god . For it is not GOD NOR HIS LOVE .
Thus my advice to all is
beware the fourteenth lion
beware the nar realm
beware the progressive liberal realm
Beware the god who often says GOD is love and yet its love SURE DENIES THE TRUTH , THE SON .
Many are falling more and more in love with this god and its ever growing and exanding broad inclusive path .
MANY . Very troubling and very sad to see this my friend .
