What is the Gospel

I have no problem with that scripture. Obedience is evidence that the Spirit was given to one. Peter wrote in His Epistle 1 Pet 1:2

2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

And we see in Acts 5:31 Jesus gives repentance ! Talking about cherry picking lol you cherry pick verses you dont even believe or understand partner

I asked you: "What did God do to Adam and Eve after they made the wrong choice?"

They just did not make a wrong choice, they rebelled against their Creator.

OK Red, Since you always answer my questions, I think it is important the get this part right, according to Scriptures.

"Who made Adam and Eve rebel against their Creator"?

"Who made Adam and Eve rebel against their Creator"?
The first cause was the Sovereign will of God Ps 90:3

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

Rom 8:20

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
The Hope was Redemptive through Christ setup and ordained before the world began, before Adam and eve began 1 Pet 1:20

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Now from this pov did Adam and Eve have a choice not to sin against God and frustrate His predetermined purpose in Christ ?

I have no problem with that scripture. Obedience is evidence that the Spirit was given to one. Peter wrote in His Epistle 1 Pet 1:2

2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

The obedience came first, according to Scriptures. The first Church of God under God's Prophesied New Priesthood, tarried in Jerusalem for months, observing Feast of Unleavened Bread, and counting the Sabbaths of God correctly so as to be gathered on His Holy Feast Pentecost, in obedience to His Statutes. It was "AFTER" they obeyed, that the Spirit of God was given to them.

This is simply Biblical truth that Peter recounted in Acts 5:29-32..

1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace "that is to be brought unto you" at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15 But as he which "hath called you" is holy, "so be ye holy" in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

So it is true that God knows the end from the beginning, and HE knew of those who would "Yield themselves" to God, and strive with all their heart and mind to "lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us", and "Be Holy, for God is Holy". It's a Lie to promote that although God instructs all men to be Holy, He only allows those who win the holy lottery, to be holy. As you preach to the world that a man has no choice in the matter.

The evil deceiver teaches that God picks winners and losers based on nothing they choose to do. And as anyone can see, who is interested in God's Truth, when more of Peter's Words are considered, this popular religious philosophy which you have adopted and are promoting to others, is not promoted by Peter.

2 Pet. 3: 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, (Because of these truths) beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, "be diligent" that ye "may be" found of him in peace, "without spot, and blameless".

Of course for Calvinists this doesn't apply, as you have hit to holy lottery, are already eternally secured, based on no choice that you made. So you can't use this sentence from Peter to support your adopted philosophy.

And we see in Acts 5:31 Jesus gives repentance ! Talking about cherry picking lol you cherry pick verses you dont even believe or understand partner

I know you are not allowed by your religion to answer my questions, but in case you become renewed in the spirit of your mind, did Jesus give the following Jews "Repentance"?

Matt. 7: 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matt. 23: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

So in you and Red Bakers adopted religion, God chose, based on nothing they did, to withhold from these Jews, His Righteousness and "repentance".

And you again, cherry pick one verse in Peters Holy Spirit Inspired Words in Acts 5:29-32, and twist it to promote the religious philosophy that God's Salvation is nothing more than a holy lottery.

I really don't believe that is Peter's message at all, but my understanding is based on all of his Words, not just the words that can be used to promote some random religious philosophy that exists in the world God placed us in.

But you are free to "Yield yourself" servants to obey, whomever you choose to obey.

The first cause was the Sovereign will of God Ps 90:3

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

Rom 8:20

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Now from this pov did Adam and Eve have a choice not to sin against God and frustrate His predetermined purpose in Christ ?

So then, your answer is God created them totally depraved, with a Sin Nature, and still punished them for sinning.

I just posted my answer, what does it say ? You cant comprehend

Your answer is that God predestined them, by no choice of their own, to disobey Him, then HE punished them and the whole world, "because" they disobeyed Him.

You might be able to take one sentence from the middle of 1 Peter, separate it from the rest of the Bible, and twist it to justify this judgment against God. But when all of Peter's teaching is considered, this philosophy you have adopted is proven false.

Just because God knew the first Adam would fall, but the 2nd Adam would not fall, because HE knows the End from the Beginning, doesn't mean God "made" Adam fall, through no choice that he made, or "Made" Jesus not fall, through no choice HE made.

Ps. 45: 7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore (Because of this Choice HE made) God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

There is a wicked and evil judgment against God promoted by the religious system of this world that call Him Lord, Lord, that preaches God created mankind, and gave them laws, but withheld from them the ability or capacity to obey Him. Then HE lied to them, and told them they can obey Him, then punished and slaughtered them by the thousands when they didn't.

This same religious system also promotes a Christ that pretended to come to earth as a man, but reserved unto Himself God powers that HE withheld from all other humans. That HE required them to overcome by "Faith", while HE overcame because HE reserved God Powers unto Himself no other human was allowed to have. And they preach that HE overcame temptation in this world, "because" of these God powers HE reserved unto Himself, that HE wouldn't allow any other human to have. Then, when HE overcame because of these powers ANY human could also overcome with, had HE not withheld the powers from them, HE Glorified Himself above all other humans, and gave Himself a Name above all other humans.

That is not the Jesus of the Bible.

I advocate that man believe "All things written in the Law and Prophets", and that they choose from the heart, to live by EVERY Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. That is the Gospel of Christ.

And that we believe Paul's teaching. Not just the words you promote to justify an adopted religion, but all of Paul's teaching.

Phil. 3: 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

I'm sure you will want the last word.

@Studyman
So I made nothing up out of left field. You cherry picked these scriptures to promote your adopted religious philosophy. Everyone knows it. But when a person considers all of Paul's and the Spirit of Christ through David's words, your man-made philosophy falls apart.

John 2:25

“And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.”

The Lord Jesus clearly taught human depravity, and so does all of his servants.

@Studyman
"Who made Adam and Eve rebel against their Creator"?
So, you just keep asking me questions without answering mine? Okay, no problem.

No one made them rebel against God~God left them to themselves and since they were created, it was inevitable that they would sin~again, God alone is in immutable.

I'm leaving to go out of town, be back later.

You didn't answer my question Red. You diverted. Adam rebelled against God, by whose power did he rebel? Where did he get the power? It had to come from somewhere, they were created perfect human beings in God's image.

And how is it possible that Adam and Eve can leave the presence of the Spirit of God in His Garden? Did God not know the snake was there? If you left your child alone with a snake, and it bit your child, whose fault would that be Red? And would you then punish the bitten child because you left it alone with the snake?

This is what i mean about the leaven in man's heart. They Judge God as incompetent and unjust, and then reads their judgment into every scrupture.

@Studyman

@Studyman, let me ask you a question, since I just answered one for you: "Why was it imperative for Christ to come as a substitute for his people, to live and die, and resurrect again from the grave?"

Because God cannot lie.

Gen. 2: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Christ offered Himself to pay her death, so she could "Go and sin no more".

What are the apocryphal gospels?

Some of the apocryphal gospels are lost to us but are mentioned in other early Christian writings and would have been considered helpful though not inspired. These works include the Gospel of Andrew, the Gospel of Bartholomew, the Gospel of Barnabas, and Memoirs of the Apostles.

Some of the apocryphal gospels are the work of heretical groups that attempted to co-opt the teachings of Jesus for their own purposes. Among these works are the Gospel of Marcion, the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Judas, the Gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Philip, and the Gospel of Truth.

The Gospel of Thomas is probably the best-known because it was popularized by Princeton University Professor of Religion Elaine Pagels in her 2004 best-seller Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas. Some of the apocryphal gospels, like the Gospel of Peter, are just bizarre. In this work, we encounter an actual talking cross.

@Studyman

They just did not make a wrong choice, they rebelled against their Creator.

  • Exile and Exclusion: God drove Adam out of Eden to prevent him from taking the tree of life and living forever in his fallen state.

But what you refuse to accept, is the Truth that God placed Adam and Eve in the garden, and prevented them from taking of the Tree of life, "BEFORE" he was drove out of the garden. "Before" they sinned against God. So even before Adam's fall, they were not given the Right to the Tree of Life.

In my understanding, this is because God set before them life (Good) and death (Evil), blessing and cursing: And instructed them to choose life (Good), that both thou and thy seed may live: But They chose death (Evil), So of course, God is a Just God, and did not let them "take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever". Even though the deceiver told Eve, "Thou shall surely not die", convincing her that God is a liar.

22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground "from whence he was taken". " for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return".

The deceiver would convince us that God withheld to capacity for Adam and Eve to obey Him, then punished them and mankind forever, "because" they didn't obey Him. I advocate that men take heed of this popular religious philosophy you have been snared to promote to others. All humans are given the capacity to deny their flesh, if they desire to do so.

  • Establishment of Separation: God placed Cherubim and a flaming sword at the east of Eden to secure the way to the tree of life, signaling broken fellowship.

Yes, men that "Choose death over life, are not given the "Right" to the Tree of Life, as it is written;

Rev. 22: 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, (Choose Life) that they may "have right" to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

This is why Paul's teaching of repentance and submitting oneself to God's Righteousness, Yielding oneself a servant to obey God's Commandments, Offering oneself a living sacrifice to God, is essential to have right to the Tree of Life, in the day men are raised from the Dead, and Judged according to their "works", as Paul also teaches, For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

The deceiver would have us believe Paul is a liar, and that we have no choice, and that men are not judged by their words, rather, they are chosen by God through some secret, never before revealed to any one, anywhere in scriptures, a "Holy Lottery" where men are rejected or chosen based on nothing they choose to do.

I advocate that men Seek God's Righteousness, and place their trust in the Word of God, not the prince of this world's religions.

  • Imposition of Curse and Labor: God cursed the ground, ensuring that Adam would suffer toil and sorrow, and that his life would become a "life-long toil".

This is true,

17 And unto Adam he said, "Because" thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, "Thou shalt not eat of it": cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

This is the Cross of all humans. They will fight against the principalities and powers of the air the rest of their life. Even Jesus, who never sinned, "Thorns also and thistles were brought forth to him" also, and HE carried this same cross, Yet humbled Himself is obedience to His Father, and HE "endured to the End". We too, who like Adam, have sinned, can cast away our transgressions, and strive with all our hearts to "Go and sin no more", as the Spirit of Christ teaches,

Is. 1: 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

But the deceiver would have us believe that Jesus takes all that toil and battle away from men, who hit the Holy Lottery. That men can create our own Judgments, just like Eve, and create their own high days, like the Pharisees, and create their own commandments, like the "Jews Religion" and as long as we do those things "In Christ's Name" our disobedience doesn't matter.

I advocate that men consider the warnings about this world's religions, that you are on a mission to promote. And that they leave this world's religions, like Abraham and Caleb, and Daniel and Shadrack and Zacharias, and Peter, and "be diligent that we may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

  • Enforcing Death: Although Adam did not die physically immediately, Moses emphasizes that spiritual death and the corruption of human nature occurred instantly, which ultimately leads to physical decay and death, per Genesis 5:3; Ecclesiastes 12.

Without eating of the Tree of Life, all humans will die. And they will stay dead until a power greater than they, raise them from the dead. And according to Scriptures, they will be judged according to their works, whether they believed God or Not.

Ez. 18: 20 The soul that sinneth, "it shall die". The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

21 But if "the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed", and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, "he shall not die".

22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should "return from his ways", and live?

God gives the wicked the chance to submit to His Righteousness, not based on their works, but based on His Grace alone. No one makes Him Offer to us forgiveness or His Long suffering and patience He doesn't want to destroy anyone. But HE is God, and HE does mean what HE says.

24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

The deceiver promotes from the very beginning that a person can eat what God commandments not to eat, and "Ye shall not surely die". That God's Laws are worthless Jewish Traditions, and "that in the day ye transgress His Commandment, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

I advocate that a man trusts the instruction of the Lord's Christ and "Live by" EVERY WORD that Proceeds from the mouth of God, as it is written.

Ecc. 12: 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep "his commandment": for this "is the whole duty of man". 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

  • Promise of Grace: Despite the punishment, Moses notes God’s grace in promising that a Savior would come from the woman’s seed to defeat the serpent (Genesis 3:15).

But the serpent is still here, this is why Christ gave us His Armor, and instruct men to "Put it on". The Feast of Atonement, speaks about a time when the serpent will be locked up, and the sins of the world placed on his head, where it belongs. But that is an event "Yet to Come". Until then, to "Endure to the End" and be saved, in this world God placed us in, we are instructed to Yield ourselves to Him and keep His Commandments. Even though we are surrounded by deceivers who profess to know God, but are willfully disobedient to His Commandments, they despise His Judgments, and they have created an idol, an image of God in the likeness of the sacrifice God provided for them, just as the rebellious in Israel did when Moses return was delayed.

I advocate that men trust the Scriptures, and ignore those "many", who have transformed themselves into Apostles of Christ, who preach that God's Judgments and sabbaths are "Jewish Laws, and not God's Laws. God knows what we need, and His Laws are created, as Paul teaches, "For our sakes no doubt".

All a man needs is belief.
